Summoner in One Piece

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Affairs of the Fief

After a profound and intimate moment with Tsunade, Alex sought out Olvia, now shifting his focus entirely to the urgent matters of their fief. He found her in the main study, immersed in scrolls and ledgers, the picture of quiet efficiency.

"Alex," Olvia greeted, looking up, her composure firmly in place. "How are you feeling now?"

"Completely recovered, thank you," Alex replied. "But more importantly, how are things truly going here? Are the fief's affairs in order? I felt a shift, even on the battlefield."

Olvia hesitated, her gaze dropping to the scrolls. "That's... part of why I wanted to speak with you privately. With your prolonged absence, and especially after the news of Lord Sei Kyou's death, there have been... rumblings. Someone has been subtly inciting dissatisfaction among the populace, attempting to turn the district against the current lord – against you." She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Akane's absence has been keenly felt on the administrative and intelligence front; her swiftness in uncovering such plots would have been invaluable. And with Tsunade's condition, I didn't want to add to her worries until I had concrete information."

Alex's jaw tightened. "No need for discretion, Olvia. Not with this. My priority is the stability of Tonryuu. Mobilize the city guard. I want a full blockade. Establish a new department for city permits immediately – no one goes in or out without explicit authorization. And form an investigation force. I want every suspicious movement, every hushed conversation, brought to light." His voice was calm, but the underlying steel was unmistakable.

Olvia nodded, already mentally drafting orders. "Understood. It will be done."

Days turned into a blur of swift, decisive action. Under Olvia's meticulous direction and with the full authority granted by Alex, the city was placed under a strict but orderly lockdown. Permits were issued, patrols intensified, and the newly formed investigation unit, comprised of loyal city guards and the most perceptive of the Warriors, fanned out. It wasn't long before Olvia's diligence bore fruit.

"Alex," Olvia informed him a few days later, her expression grim. "We've found the source. It's a resistance group, comprised primarily of former nobles. The ringleader is Rui, the former wife of Sei Kyou."

Alex's eyes narrowed. So, a personal vendetta. He led a small, elite group of soldiers and personally oversaw the apprehension. The former nobles, surprised and caught off guard by the swift, coordinated action, were swiftly taken into custody. While the foot soldiers and less important conspirators were sent to the regular prison, a few individuals of higher importance, including Rui herself, were given a slightly better, though still secure, detention. Olvia had insisted on this.

"We shouldn't kill them directly, Alex," Olvia advised. "Not yet. They likely have other supporters, silent ones, even in the main Qin court. Executing them immediately might destabilize our standing." Alex, recognizing the wisdom in her political pragmatism, reluctantly agreed.

One afternoon, Olvia came to Alex with another suggestion. "Alex," she began, a thoughtful look on her face. "With the unrest, even if contained, and the losses we've suffered, I believe it's time for a public statement. A powerful one, that reassures the people and silences any lingering doubts about your authority and the future of Tonryuu."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "What do you propose?"

Olvia looked towards Erza, who was now moving freely and effortlessly, having made a full recovery. "You spoke of your intentions, Alex. Of your desire to build a life here. To have a harem, and to marry Erza. I believe this is the moment. A marriage between you, our Lord, and Erza, your loyal and formidable Knight. It will send a clear message that these attempted rebellions are nothing, that you are here to stay, and that Tonryuu is stable and thriving. It will ensure the civilians feel secure and peaceful under your rule."

Alex considered this. It made perfect sense. A public display of stability, power, and personal commitment. And the thought of marrying Erza... it brought a warmth to his chest that transcended strategy. "It shall be done," he declared.

That evening, a quiet buzz of anticipation filled the Lord's mansion. The announcement of the impending marriage between Lord Alex and Lady Erza was met with discreet excitement. As Alex and Erza moved towards their private chambers, they did so under the watchful eyes of their few remaining companions and the mansion staff, a mix of respect and knowing smiles. Tsunade and Olvia, trailing slightly behind, exchanged playful glances.

"You know, Erza's always been so stoic," Olvia whispered to Tsunade, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I wonder if she'll be as... expressive as you were, Tsunade, that first night in the village, after the party. Your moans were legendary."

Tsunade's cheeks flushed a furious red, a rare sight. "Olvia! Hush! Don't you dare!" she hissed, though a small, involuntary shiver ran down her spine at the memory.

As Alex and Erza disappeared into their room and the door softly closed, the companions discreetly departed, leaving only Olvia and Tsunade lingering outside. A moment of silence stretched. Then, soft sounds began to emanate from within the room. The distinct creaking of the bed, rhythmic and growing. Faint, muffled moans began to filter through the thick door.

Olvia leaned closer to Tsunade, a triumphant smirk on her face. "Hear that, Tsunade? I told you. But I have to say, your moans that night... they were still louder than Erza's are now." She nudged Tsunade playfully.

Tsunade, her blush deepening, punched Olvia lightly on the arm, but a smile finally broke through. "Oh, you are incorrigible!" With a shared chuckle, the two retreated, leaving the newlyweds to their privacy.

Later that night, as the mansion settled into a quiet hum, Tsunade sought out Olvia. "About the situation in the city," Tsunade began, a more serious tone in her voice. "What was the full extent of this... Rui affair?"

Olvia calmly explained the details of the investigation, of Rui's involvement, and the network of former nobles who sought to exploit Alex's absence. "They blamed Alex for Sei Kyou's death, using it to stir resentment," Olvia clarified. "And they hoped to seize power while you were gone."

Tsunade listened, her expression thoughtful. "And your suggestion about not killing them directly? I agree. We need to assess their connections. But Rui..." she trailed off, a mischievous glint entering her own eyes. "She caused a lot of trouble. And I remember how... aggressive Alex can be." A blush dusted her cheeks as she recalled her own intimate encounter with Alex in the infirmary, his primal needs, his overwhelming strength.

Olvia chuckled. "Indeed. He has... a very powerful presence, doesn't he?" A playful glint entered her eyes. "You know, Tsunade, considering your promise to Alex regarding the harem, and the need to truly break Rui's spirit without execution... perhaps we could send Rui to our big bad wolf?" She raised an eyebrow suggestively. "It would certainly make her rethink her allegiances. And, speaking of the harem, if you truly want to solidify your position at the top, acting like the other women aren't a threat, and showing a bit of... initiative yourself, might not be a bad idea."

Tsunade pondered this, her mind racing through the implications. The idea was audacious, ruthless, and surprisingly effective. And the thought of asserting her position... she smiled slowly. "You know what, Olvia? That's not a bad idea at all. Rui... will be sent to Alex's bed chamber tomorrow night."

The next morning, Alex and Erza, their faces glowing with a serene happiness, met with Olvia and Tsunade in the main hall. The atmosphere was lighter, despite the underlying concerns.

"I've made some decisions regarding our future," Alex announced, his gaze firm. "The two remaining Warriors, Koji and Haru, will stay here in the Qin world. They, along with the other 280 Warriors, will remain to complete Mission 2 – managing and securing our fief. This is our foundation, and it needs to be unshakeable." He looked at Tsunade and Olvia. "And our next venture to the One Piece world... we will wait. We will move only after Tsunade delivers the child. This world needs to be fully stabilized, and our family here, safe and strong, before we embark on the next great journey."
