As the countdown ended, Ronald felt his vision blur before he was suddenly struck by a bright light. When his eyes adjusted, he found himself in an entirely unfamiliar environment.

However, when he took in the sight before him, he nearly had his eyes blinded by the opulence.

"What the hell! This is way over the top!"

It looked like a square-shaped bedroom, not particularly large, but extravagantly lavish. The golden tiles on the floor gleamed with a blinding shine, while a luxurious, oversized golden bed lay at the center of the room. At the bed's head was a nightstand made entirely of pure gold. On the other side, a fluffy, snow-white sofa sat comfortably. In one corner of the room, a life-sized, circular jade statue stood silently.

On either side of the golden door, two pots of fresh red roses filled the room with a subtle floral fragrance.

Looking up, a beautiful crystal chandelier illuminated every corner of the room, while intricate carvings on the ceiling added an artistic touch, bringing the entire space to life.

Ronald stood there, completely dumbfounded, not knowing what to make of it all.

After a moment, something clicked in his mind. He quickly pushed open the door and rushed out.

Walking down a silver-lined corridor, he admired the decorative wall lamps and heard faint sounds of mechanical processing in the distance.

At the end of the corridor was a sharp corner. What would he encounter there?

Inside a massive circular hall, the floor was also made of silver, the space brightly lit. Advanced metal workstations were arranged neatly around the hall's inner circle.

Both the grand decorations and the sophisticated workstations were expected, but what shocked Ronald was that, aside from him, there were people here!

Eight young, stunning men and women stood there, each with a calm expression, watching him.

Combining the sights before him with the voice in his head earlier that mentioned something about a system, Ronald quickly pieced everything together.

This was "RimWorld"!

It was the internal space of the game "RimWorld" he'd played before he was transported here!

And it was his very own base that he'd painstakingly built!

"Ding-dong, welcome, host, to the RimWorld space. You may stay here for ten days. After that, your consciousness will be forcibly returned to your original body. This space operates on an independent timeline, so time in the outside world will not pass while your mind stays here."

"Ding-dong, host Ronald has received a beginner's gift pack: 2 Companion Cards. After use, you can choose one of your colonists to bring to the outside world."

"Ding-dong, a friendly reminder: If you have any questions, you can call the system for assistance at any time."

The prompt echoed in his mind.

"Ah Qiang?"

Ronald called weakly.

"Here!" A well-built, handsome young man immediately answered loudly, giving Ronald a sharp military salute.

"Cuihua?"

"Here!" A young girl with a delicate face and a ponytail stood at attention, returning the salute crisply.

"Ah Shou, Xiao Yi, Kaixuan, Cuihuan, Cailian, and Ah Zhi?"

One by one, the remaining six young men and women straightened up in perfect unison, saluting him while shouting, "We, your subordinates, greet you, Master. Welcome back from your expedition!"

"Well, well, well!" Ronald exclaimed three times in a row, his mood greatly lifted. He grinned and said, "Ah Qiang, Cuihua, the two of you come with me to have a look around. The rest of you, keep working!"
