Di Esi emerged from behind a pile of goods, confronting Shi Yuqing directly.

"After so many days in the research institute, to be still safe and sound, you all are indeed not comparable to the ordinary folk of the Ancient Realm district," Shi Yuqing observed Di Esi and said.

"You are no different," Di Esi remarked calmly to Shi Yuqing.

Lin Shen, upon hearing Di Esi's words, was somewhat puzzled as to what Di Esi meant.

But Shi Yuqing's expression slightly tightened upon hearing Di Esi's words.

"Don't compare yourself to me; you're not worthy," Shi Yuqing said coldly.

"Being both from the Ancient Realm district, why can't we be compared?" Di Esi asked evenly.

Upon this remark, not only did Shi Yuqing's complexion change slightly, but Lin Shen was also somewhat surprised.

"Do you think babbling nonsense will save your lives?" Shi Yuqing said disdainfully.

"If you think I'm talking nonsense, then it's nonsense," Di Esi responded without argument.

Shi Yuqing's gaze, however, shifted slightly, and after staring at Di Esi for a while, he finally spoke: "How did you figure it out?"

"My understanding of Divine Beings is limited, and even more so when it comes to you. However, the power you've just used has surpassed the abilities of the Ghost God Faction. That is pure rule-based power, not the strength of the Ghost God Faction," Di Esi explained.

"Why would you think so? Don't I look like part of the Ghost God Faction? Where is the flaw?" Shi Yuqing looked at his own Divine Soul Light Shadow, questioning with confusion.

"You have merged rule-based power into your Divine Soul, but that is ultimately not the power of a Ghost God. There is an essential difference between the two. Others may not see the minutiae, but my power is like the dust of this world, so I can see details that others cannot. Your disguise is very good, but you are not a true Divine Being. Like us, you're from the Ancient Realm, and what's more, you are a Dharma King," Di Esi stated.

Shi Yuqing suddenly relaxed as if a weight had been lifted, and even a smile appeared on his face: "Someone who could physically breach the Celestial Court is indeed extraordinary. Even facing the Great Divine Official all these years in the Celestial Court, my flaws were never exposed. I didn't expect that today you would see through me. "Which is?" Di Esi inquired.

"Although we both come from the Ancient Realm district, we are not the same, nor are we from the same Ancient Realm," Shi Yuqing said.

"So what?" Di Esi continued to press.

"So, originally I only intended to use your lives in exchange for my chance to ascend, to climb higher and get closer to the heart of the Celestial Court. Only by ascending higher do I have the chance to change the fate of the Ancient Realm," Shi Yuqing elaborated.

At this point, Shi Yuqing sighed, "You really shouldn't have been born so clever, nor should you possess such abilities. To ensure my identity remains a secret, I have no choice but to kill you to silence you. Although the merits gained from dead people are somewhat lesser, it's a necessity. After all, only the dead who cannot speak will not reveal secrets."

"Although we come from different regions of the Ancient Realm, our goals are the same. Why can't we work together? If you let us go, we could help each other in the future," said Di Esi.

The Divine Soul Light Shadow stared at Lin Shen and Death Powder, controlling them, while its body turned, following Shi Yuqing's lead and throwing a punch.

From the beginning, Shi Yuqing had been extremely cautious in concealing his Strength, and Lin Shen had thought it was because he did not want to damage the contents of the warehouse too severely.

Now he understood that he did not want to reveal too much of his own power either.

The Holy Light burst forth from Di Esi's body, wrapping around him with a Carapace, and the Holy Light even condensed into a Divine Soul that seemed as holy as a saint or a Buddha, enveloping his figure.

He also punched out, and his Fist Power collided with Shi Yuqing's, but the two did not cause a great explosion. Instead, they neutralized each other like an undercurrent.

Di Esi grunted and staggered back a dozen meters before stabilizing his figure.

Lin Shen knew what he found odd. There were no Celestial Court intelligence in the Ancient Realm, so there couldn't be any cultivation methods of the Ghost God Faction.

Therefore, it was impossible for people from the Ghost God Faction of the Ancient Realm to break into the Celestial Court and evoke Divine Souls, especially at the Lower Tier. It simply didn't add up.

Before Di Esi could speak, Shi Yuqing, who was examining Di Esi's Divine Soul, spoke with some excitement: "I see now, you truly are a genius. The Divine Soul of Di Esi turned into myriads of Star lights, flowing like the Milky Way towards Shi Yuqing, but those blood-dropping eyes of the Divine Soul merely glanced at the Star River, which then froze in midair, becoming as still and silent as dead water.
