Chapter 4: The Crimson Hunt

Chapter 4 – The Crimson Hunt

Tian teleported out of the God Sanctuaries to take some rest. As he exited his personal teleporter, his butler, Henry, greeted him. Tian found it a bit odd—why was his butler's name Henry? Everyone else here had Chinese names.

"Hello, Henry. How are you?" Tian asked.

Henry was momentarily caught off guard by the question but quickly composed himself.

"I'm doing just fine, Second Young Master," he replied.

Tian smiled and headed to his room to get a good night's rest.

"Young Master has changed," Henry thought as he watched him leave. "He never greeted me before, let alone asked how I am. Maybe something has changed..." A faint, A smile crept onto his face. Henry was an Evolver—or so Tian believed.

After laying on his smooth silk bed, Tian instantly fell into a deep sleep.

---

Tian Fan spent the following two days in quiet preparation. No glitches. No surprises. Just good food, consistent training, and absorbing everything he could about the God Sanctuaries. He had 7 Mutant Geno Points the original Tian already had 5—still far from maxing out, but making progress.

He wasn't in a rush.

That's what made him different.

Others scrambled for every kill like their lives depended on it—and for many, they did. But Tian wasn't desperate. He had time, resources, and most importantly... money.

Today, though, he was headed into the god sanctuary to hunt primitive creatures

---

After two days of rest, he entered the God Sanctuaries once more. Upon arrival, he summoned his Silver Turtle Armor and set out to hunt primitive beasts.

Still cloaked in the shining silver armor, he was soon approached by a man in his thirties who called out to him, "Hey, Silver Guy!", Tian stopped to look at the man. the man xiao fe, invited him to an hunting of the scared blood level.

Tian was already planning to max out his Primitive Geno Points. He hoped that by doing so, he would wish to meet Han Sen in the God Sanctuaries from the system. He had researched Han Sen—it had only been three months since Han Sen entered the First God Sanctuary.

"He's probably already obtained the black crystal," Tian thought.

But he didn't really care about the black crystal. It was only really useful in the First Sanctuary, and Tian had no desire to become a target of Han Sen's grandfather's plans.

---

The hunters gathered at the southern edge of Silver Shelter.

There were about thirty of them—some lean and wild-eyed, others bulky and grim. Most carried mutant weapons: bone axes, jagged swords, or beast soul daggers. Tian, wearing a simple ash-gray travel coat over his armor, stood out only for how calm he looked.

A hunter named Luo Bei wearing a mutant beast soul armour and a scared beast soul grate sword, with sharp green eyes and a battle-scarred face, approached him.

"You're the Silver Guy?" she asked, arms crossed. "The one who killed the mutant Wind Wolf solo?"

Nobody knew Tian's real identity, Thanks to his armour.

"That's me," Tian said casually. "Looking for someone to assist you in battle?"

She snorted. "I'm looking for someone who won't die the moment we enter Bloodspike Ravine."

Tian's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Bloodspike Ravine?"

Luo nodded. "It's a red zone. Dangerous terrain. Mutant and primitive Crimson Apes nest there."

"Crimson Apes..." Tian murmured. He'd read about them on skynet, high physical strength, pack hunters. They were notoriously territorial and had a reputation for ripping apart weaker hunters with terrifying speed.

"A friend of mine tracked a rare variant. Bigger. Smarter. Probably a Sacred-Blood creature. Guaranteed high-tier beast soul if it drops."

"I'm in," Tian said immediately.

She raised a brow. "Just like that?"

He smiled.

---

They traveled light, riding mounts across the stone plains before descending into the ravine. The temperature dropped sharply, and the terrain turned jagged—crimson-red stone spires jutted from the ground like shattered blades.

The moment they entered, the smell hit them.

Iron. Sweat. Blood.

And something else—rot.

There were a dozen carcasses littered across the path. The party crouched low behind a large stone. "This smell means something went wrong. We're not the first ones here," someone whispered.

Tian glanced at the scattered remnants of human body parts, Whoever had come before hadn't left willingly.

His sixth sense pulsed—not from direct danger, but instinct.

Something was watching them.

Suddenly, a howl echoed through the canyon.

Then came the thunder—pounding fists on stone.

The Crimson Apes burst forth—eight of them. Their red fur was matted with blood, and their yellow eyes glowed with fury. They were just a bit larger than Earth's native apes, but far more vicious.

The group scattered, engaging with weapons and beast souls. The air was filled with shouting and slashing. This group of thirty was well-seasoned, and they moved in practiced rhythm.

Tian, seeing the others already in battle, summoned his Blood Dagger and lunged at one of the Crimson Apes. The beast roared and reached for his arms, trying to rip them apart. But Tian, guided by his sixth sense, dodged skillfully.

With a swift motion, he drove the Blood Fang Dagger into the creature's eye.
