Super Template System In Marvel and Beyond

Chapter 120: Asgardian magic

While everyone was mourning Loki's death, Dave found himself in the grand library of Asgard. He had no interest in participating in the mourning, as he knew Loki was still alive. To him, their eagerness to declare Loki dead without proof seemed irrational. But it didn't matter—he had other priorities.

Dave was engrossed in studying Asgardian magic. He delved deeply into its nuances, comparing it to Earth's magical systems. He noted a key difference: Earth's magic often relies on drawing power from external cosmic sources or elemental forces, channeling them through rituals, incantations, and tools to create spells. On the other hand, Asgardian magic operates differently. Asgardians generate a unique force from within their own bodies—a direct form of mana that serves as the foundation for their spells.

This force, intrinsic to Asgardians, allows them to manifest their imaginations into reality. Their magic isn't confined to rigid formulas but instead shaped by their will and creativity. However, the Asgardian approach to magic had its own limitations. Over the centuries, they refined their abilities to focus primarily on practical, battle-oriented powers. This is why Asgardian magic users often possess specific abilities tied to their roles, such as Heimdall's omniscient sight or the formidable durability of Colossus-like warriors.

Moreover, Dave discovered an intriguing aspect of the "Royal Force" unique to Asgard's ruling class. This force, passed down from one monarch to the next, amplified the ruler's strength and allowed them to wield magic far beyond that of ordinary Asgardians. It wasn't just power—it was an inheritance that symbolized authority, legacy, and responsibility.

Dave realized this royal force wasn't merely symbolic. It was an evolving power that grew stronger with each generation, adapting and enhancing itself through the experiences and wisdom of each ruler. The Royal Force was the pinnacle of Asgardian magic, and understanding it might unlock untold possibilities.

As he continued his studies, Dave felt a growing appreciation for Asgardian magic's depth and versatility. While it had evolved for specific needs, its potential for boundless creativity and strength fascinated him.

"Now, Thor is not ready to inherit the Royal Force," Dave mused aloud, flipping through the intricate Asgardian texts. "The Royal Force itself carries wisdom and will only choose a true ruler—something Thor has yet to become. But when he does, Thor will undoubtedly reach the peak of cosmic power, rivaling even Celestials," he murmured, his voice trailing off as his thoughts deepened.

"Hmm... can I create my own Royal Force by transitioning from one template to another?" Dave pondered, the idea sparking his curiosity as he turned to his system for answers.

[Host cannot create a Royal Force through templates. Templates lack souls, and the Royal Force is deeply tied to the soul of the reigning king. It absorbs their essence and merges with the next king upon their birth. In essence, it is a legacy of reincarnated power and wisdom passed down through rulers.]

[However, since Host possesses a single, unified soul, he cannot create a traditional Royal Force for himself.]

[But Host can establish Royal Forces for his descendants. In fact, Host has the potential to create multiple Royal Forces, each tailored to the nature of the templates Host wields.]

"Children, huh?" Dave muttered, leaning back in thought. "That's still far into the future. I've got more immediate priorities for now," he remarked as he closed the ancient tome on Royal Force magic.

He glanced across the library, spotting Frigga entering gracefully. The Queen of Asgard had been instrumental in his understanding of Asgardian magic. Despite her mourning for Loki, she continued to guide Dave, impressed by his intellect and dedication.

"Are you leaving already?" she asked, her voice gentle as she approached him.

Dave stood and bowed slightly out of respect. "Yes, my Queen. Thank you for your invaluable guidance," he replied, his tone sincere.

Frigga smiled softly. "Your progress has been remarkable, Dave. But remember, true mastery of magic lies not only in knowledge but in understanding its purpose. Magic is as much about wisdom as it is about power."

Dave nodded. "I'll remember your words, and I'm grateful for your teachings. They've given me much to think about."

As Frigga watched him leave, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Despite his mortal origins, Dave had the potential to rival even the greatest mages of Asgard.

"You are always welcome here," Frigga said with a warm smile as Dave nodded.

"I will come by whenever I can," Dave replied, his voice calm yet determined. Frigga nodded and watched as he left the room, the door closing softly behind him.

Dave had been learning Asgardian magic from her for over three months now. His progress was immense, but it was time for him to move forward. He felt ready for his next challenge, and there was one person left to face: Thor.

"Now, the only thing left is to fight Thor," Dave mused as he reviewed his progress on the status screen. His array of spells had expanded, his understanding of Asgardian magic growing deeper with every lesson.

"Hmm, I've got all of them now," he muttered. "Should I fight using only magic or Whitebeard's template?" he wondered aloud. After a moment of consideration, he shrugged. "Nah, fighting Thor with Whitebeard's template is better," he decided with a smirk. With a final glance at the room, he dashed out, heading straight for Thor's location.

He soon reached the arena, a place where Thor often spent his time—fighting or drinking at the bar.

Natasha, aka Black Widow, and Diana also spent their time there. Natasha had learned from Asgardian warriors during her stay here, and the Asgardians had welcomed her to fight, as they preferred to battle with others to test their strength. She had grown skilled at wielding the Demon Flame and Hell Wind, which were difficult techniques to master, especially when it came to controlling them in combat. Diana, on the other hand, was always a challenge to defeat with her unpredictable and powerful strength.

Diana also has Cursed blood which is even powerful than Hell Wind and Demons flames, creating a powerful spectacle when ver both these women fought.
