Chapter 118: Major Event One: Battle of the Dragon Ninja (Conclusion)_2

Every time she entered a battle state, her teeth would transform like this. It would only return to normal after some time had passed. She didn't want her family to see her in this state, so she had to hide first before seeking them out.

"I really am... a monster."

She rested her head on her hands, with wisps of pale hair falling over her shoulders, her crimson eyes reflecting the image of the man's corpse.

A buzzing filled her ears, like millions of bees humming. She couldn't hear anything else, only the oppressive sound lingering in her mind. Every night she was like this, a vampire craving blood, whose genes would grow restless upon seeing the crimson liquid.

"I didn't want to kill you, why wouldn't you let me pass."

Bai Ziling buried her head in her knees, her crimson eyes barely visible, muttering to herself as she gazed at the pool of blood on the ground, when suddenly, the sound of a dragon's roar pierced through the sky.

She was taken aback for a moment, then stood on her tiptoes to look out of the window.

What met her gaze was an enraged dragon, its body drenched in blood, with one wing severed and fallen to the ground.

The dragon, appearing to flee in panic, burst into Wanxiang City and fell to the ground, creating a deep crater.

"It's..."

Bai Ziling stood at the window for two seconds, disbelief filling her crimson pupils. She ran down the emergency exit, her steps light and swift, reaching the bottom floor in mere seconds.

In the dense fog where nothing could be seen, amid the screams of people, she walked step by step towards the source of the great gasping breaths and leaped into a deep pit.

Amidst the shattered white tiles, she lifted her hand and caressed the great dragon's torso, twitching slightly, coated in blood. Only one of its heads could still move, so it slowly turned to look at the girl who was so close.

In its vertical pupils was reflected a familiar face. The girl's mouth was stained with fresh blood. She lowered her red eyes and reached out to stroke its head, whispering something softly.

The dragon's head was emitting a terrifying heat at that moment, continuously scorching the girl's hand, blackening her fingers and almost exposing the bones beneath.

The dragon couldn't make out her words, but murky tears slipped from the corners of its scale-covered eyes. Its body slowly regressed, returning to the shape of a human boy, who laid in the embrace of the girl.

"I'm sorry." He looked at the girl's burned hands, tiredly repeating in a hoarse voice, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

He didn't know what he was apologizing for, whether it was for burning her hands or for having concealed the truth from her for so long.

Bai Ziling stared at him dumbly for a while, her bloodied lips trembling slightly. But Ke Yongzhu still couldn't hear what she was saying, as the world was filled with a cacophony of shattering roars.

It made him want to smash everything to pieces, to obliteration.

Sister, what are you really saying?

Does she hate me now, I've hidden it from her for so long, never telling her that I was that dragon...

In silence, he groggily tried to interpret the shape of the girl's mouth, mouthing the words in his mind.

"We are going home."

As she said this, Bai Ziling lowered her eyes and embraced his frail body, their forms as though they could be dispersed by the dust and wind at any moment.

......

......

At the same time, at the entrance of Wanxiang City.

"Didn't I say it?" The strange thing put down its raised arms and grinned, "The dragon has changed back, I don't know what you all are in such a rush for?"

Even if he didn't step in, Bai Ziling would surely have approached the dragon. He simply came to mingle for presence, incidentally trying to improve his standing with Xuan and Ming.

Black Wukong stood rooted to the spot, her gaze fixed on the boy and girl in the crater. Despite the thick smoke enveloping the first floor of Wanxiang City, her Eyes of Golden Flame could clearly see everything inside.

The Black Judge took a deep breath as well. The moment he saw Bai Ziling, he almost couldn't breathe.

Even if he killed Ke Yongzhu at the fastest speed, there were still a thousand ways Bai Ziling could have been involved in the aftermath. Fortunately, the outcome wasn't too bad... Ke Yongzhu reverted to his original form, and Bai Ziling was unharmed.

"That's that, then," the Black Judge shrugged, "Divine Communicator Miss, as I said, two of my friends' lives are hanging by a thread, I need to get them to the hospital as soon as possible, this dragon is your problem now."

Without any rush, he dropped this remark and turned around, stepping towards the Gibran Bookstore on Luo Dehua Commercial Street.

At that moment, a girl with a high ponytail rushed past him, that was Bai Zini who had just reverted from her transformed state.

Ke Yinzhi hesitated for half a second but did not stop her.

Bai Zini brushed past him and Bai Qiuwu, dashing into the smoke-enshrouded Wanxiang City, paused to stare blankly at Bai Ziling and Ke Yongzhu, then took them and left the place.

Black Wukong had disappeared into the smoke at some point, probably looking for a place to take off his battle suit, or perhaps to find Ke Mingye, Ke Yinzhi, and Ke Xiaomo.

"Really never letting one feel at ease, previously I only had a sister to worry about, and now I've got yet another one... a little brat dragon. Zi Ling must have known that the dragon was him, otherwise, she wouldn't have approached him recklessly."

"Looks like I'll have to call a family meeting when I get home to discuss this, and try to prevent Yongzhu's identity from being exposed."

As Ke Yinzhi thought about this, he tilted his head slightly and pressed the black earring, which made the holographically projected Black Judge uniform he was wearing disappear. Stay updated with empire

He sighed and stepped into Gibran Bookstore, deactivated the pre-arranged barrier, and with one hand picked up Ke Xiaomo's body, while the other hand dragged the Ink Writer by the back of his collar.

"Why am I the one being dragged?" Ink Writer asked hoarsely.

"Are you my brother?"

Ke Yinzhi responded nonchalantly, dragging him out of the bookstore, leaving a trail of blood ink on the ground.

He had previously confirmed that virtually all surveillance within a two hundred meter radius had been temporarily disabled by the Ninja Sect, so none of the fighting would be recorded on camera.

Since the event started nearly ten minutes had passed, enough time for several fights, and only then did the Superhero Association arrive on the scene leisurely and begin their investigation.

The fog was heavy, and the pedestrians trapped on the first floor of Wanxiang City probably did not see Ke Yongzhu return to his original form, and Bai Zini had also swiftly taken him and Bai Ziling away.

Thus, the right to explain the incident lay mostly in the hands of the "Black Judge" who was just passing by.

Ke Yinzhi already had a set of excuses in mind.

Although the Management Bureau's old men were not easy to brush off, if the explanation wasn't rigorous, it was likely to arouse their suspicion.

But anyway, in a while, the Anomaly Control Bureau would commence the operation to encircle and suppress "Diviner Black Wukong." Once he had turned all those S-class enforcers into mincemeat for pigs, naturally, he would find a way to break away from the Management Bureau.

So, in reality, it wasn't much of a problem.

At worst, he would take down those old heads in the higher-ups as well...

Thinking this, Ke Yinzhi took a deep breath and lowered his head, his cold pupils hidden by his bangs, his earring swinging with a clear sound.

"How are they? Are they okay?"

Ke Xiaomo, being held in his arms, managed to breathe out a question.

"Don't worry, the kids at home are all fine," Ke Yinzhi smiled, "it's just that Mingye hasn't been found yet, but he should be hiding in the movie theater on the fifth floor, so theoretically, the Ninja Sect shouldn't make a move on him."

"That's good..."

Ke Xiaomo was silent for a while, then closed his eyes and said hoarsely, "Thank you, I'm glad you're here. I wouldn't know what to do otherwise."

"Come on, we're brothers."

"Yes, we've always been."

Upon hearing this, Ke Yinzhi shrugged his shoulders and slowly walked with them out of the smoke-filled Luo Dehua Commercial Street.

Looking around, a coffee shop sign still stood amidst the rubble, like a fluttering white flag on a battlefield.
