Chapter 16: Episode 16: Eden-Zero
Episode 16: Eden-Zero
Title: "The Seeds of Silence"
---
Scene 1: The Virgin Dawn
Eden-Zero, unknown year.
The sun rises without heat. In this world where every wingbeat seems to have been coded for peace, nature and technology are not opposed: they whisper the same language. Lira, reincarnated without a past, wanders among the towers of server trees, the antenna flowers, and the waterfalls in a sound loop.
A child with pupil-less eyes approaches. He sniffs, like an ancient animal:
"She smells of smoke... Like in the forbidden stories."
Panel 1 (luminous):
Inhabitants of Eden-Zero, dressed in luminescent natural fibers, dance in slow motion around a singing tree whose leaves vibrate in harmony. Their laughter is synchronized to the beat of an invisible metronome. Their happiness is too precise to be true.
---
Scene 2: The Guardians of Oblivion
Every night, in total silence, hooded figures – the Archivists – enter homes to erase memories. Their dreamlike polymer gloves suck up thoughts with surgical delicacy.
At their head: The Guardian, a former deity of order, now a functionary of silence.
Her speech, broadcast on all the screens:
"Peace requires amnesia. Heroes are diseases. We are cured of them. We are new."
Disturbing dialogue:
Lira (looking at an old, burned mask): "And if seeds from that past remain?"
The Guardian (fixed smile, translucent eyes): "We burn them. Like your clothes, stranger. Like you, if you insist."
---
Scene 3: The Awakened
In the organic underground of Eden-Zero, a clandestine group resists: The Awakened.
Kai: A blacksmith of memories, he dreams of creating a sword from a heartbeat.
Vyra: A haunted botanist, her plants feed on repressed memories.
Tom: A mute child who draws pixel portals with digital blood.
Silent Action:
When the Archivists invade their lair, Vyra unleashes her forbidden luminous flowers. They scream, releasing spores that devour the light... and her skin.
Vyra (trembling, amazed): "This is the first time I've felt anything. I... I'm bleeding with truth."
---
Scene 4: The Well of Forgetfulness
Guided by a translucent manuscript found in a mechanical organ, the Awakened lead Lira to the Well of Forgetfulness: a crystallized abyss into which fragments of rejected realities fall.
The bottom pulses like an artificial heart, connected to all the forgotten versions of the universe. There lies the Soul of Eden-Zero, a semi-living sphere containing forbidden archives: screams, visions, crushed memories.
Dream sequence (in negative):
Lira touches the artifact.
She sees a burning Kairos running towards a pregnant Vyrene. The fall of the Goddess-Anarchy. The absolute sacrifice of Tom Prime.
And a voice... ancient, broken, icy:
"Eden-Zero is not a beginning... It's a programmed grave."
---
Scene 5: The Source Code Fractals
But the utopia has been infected. Fractals, residual entities from collapsed realities, have found a flaw.
Nyx, the corrupted former Nyxis, appears as an organic glitch. She trembles from one pixel to the next, her voice overlapping with itself.
Her goal: to manipulate the Soul of Eden-Zero to resurrect Mother, by merging all the rejected memories.
Menacing Monologue:
Nyx:
"You thought the Eclipsium had been buried? It's in every repressed moment. In every imposed peace. It is Eden."
--
Scene 6: Lira's Choice
Climax (double-page spread in bronze):
Nyx activates the Soul. A wave of unfiltered memories overwhelms the city. Bodies fracture, faces remember lives they never lived.
Kai sees versions of himself slaughtering his loved ones, and his arms become uncontrollable blades.
Vyra merges with her plants, forming a weeping tower of vegetation.
Tom becomes a pixelated colossus, crying with the voice of a thousand erased children:
"Why did you forget me?!"
Final dialogue:
Lira, holding the heart in her burned hands:
"I can erase everything... But it will be your end. Or your rebirth."
The Guardian, kneeling, in tears:
"Do it... I beg you. Even the truth... can kill."
---
Cliffhanger Finale
Lira shatters the crystalline heart.
A mirrored light devours the Fractals. The Awakened fall unconscious. The city pulses, then breathes.
But Lira has lost everything.
Her eyes are open, but empty. She whispers under her breath:
"Kairos... Vyrene... Where are you... in this world without me?"
---
Post-credits teaser
In the heart of a forbidden forest, between trees with fleshy bark, Kai and Vyra, unrecognizable, walk slowly.
Their scars glow, linked by the same energy.
They find an ancient drone, which activates.
A hologram appears: Mother, sitting on a Fractal throne.
She smiled.
"Well done. But the real part... begins now."
---
Title of Episode 17: Heretics of Peace
"When paradise is a trap... who will dare become a demon?"
---
New (Expanded) Elements
Eden-Zero: A world of pure neo-organicism – trees connect via fiber optics, rivers sing songs of forgotten peace.
Fractals: Asymmetrical figures of decaying code. Their eyes are endless strings of characters, e.g., ERROR:MEMORY//LOST.
The Soul of Eden-Zero: A semi-conscious entity, pulsing to the rhythm of past mistakes.
---
Reinforced Themes
Peace as a Soft Dictatorship: Comfort without memory becomes a form of tyranny.
Forgotten Legacy: Suppressed memories eventually contaminate the roots of the present.
Self-Sacrifice repeated: Lira, once again, becomes the key to a world that refuses to remember.
