Chapter 329: Dangerous Turn of Events
While Rin and Erix were resting a few thousand kilometers deep under the ground, Dinda and Millia were moving towards them.
From Hallar's group, the bunny man Horu became bait to attract the dangerous golem while the others racked their brains to find a way to save him and defeat the golem.
"What do we do?" Tessa frowned. "We can't abandon Horu, right?"
"We won't," Hallar nodded before he contacted Horu. "Lead it towards our new friends who are waiting near the core. We'll be also going there. I believe Erix or Rin might be able to assist us in penetrating that golem's defense."
"Are you counting on his Super Exotic Element? What's its combination?" Leirat asked.
"Space, Death, and Flame. This is why I believe his so-called Nihilir element could have some ways to penetrate its defense."
Hallar's expression was somber as he added, "That golem is a wonderous creature of this planet, bearing the most exotic materials of this planet. If we kill it, we will also gain precious resources."
Shifa grunted and nodded, "We both have the strongest direct offense, but we couldn't penetrate its external defense. If Erix and Rin can somehow help us shred and corrode its defense, we can throw our most powerful attack at its core and kill it."
"Damn it, if only our Soul attacks worked on it," Meikar said as he smacked his lips in fraustration.
Leirat added with a frown, "Our soul attacks can't defeat it because its consciousness is protected by a stronger ethereal field created by its crazy elemental mineral structure. We are useless against it in offense, so we'll focus on affecting its consciousness to reduce its damange, aim and distract it as much as possible."
The demon brothers had more powerful soul attacks, but in the end, their soul power fell short of killing the golem.
"Alright, increase the speed. Haru and the golem are already fifty kilometers away," Tessa said. "I've told him to go on a bit of a longer route before he reaches there, so we'll meet up with the group before he brings the golem there."
"Alright, now inform Rin and Erix about this," Shifa nodded before looking at Hallar. "We'll maintain our speed and recover our spent Spirit force and soul force."
"Then let's go, I'll give you my Astridwind buff at full power to increase our speed and attunement to these earth-magnetic fields to reduce resistance," the dwarf Kaja said as he used his Exotic Element, Terra Aeris, to buff the whole team. "We better reach our destinate fast and prepare."
The six of them were on their way towards Rin and Erx, but it wouldn't be long before they got bad news from the duo.
"What?!" Tessa exclaimed after she talked with Erix. Read new stories on m_vl_em_p_yr
…
Inside a hollow cavern spot deep underground, Erix rolled his eyes as he replied, "Rin and I have exhausted our Spirit force. We'll need at least 30 minutes before we even attempt to do what you all want us to do."
[Tessa: Thirty minutes is surprisingly fast, but...]
Sleeping on his lap, Rin also added, "We may have a way to weaken a part of it to reduce its defense significantly if we go all out and allow another powerful attack to breach it before you throw your strongest attack at its core, but we'll need 30 minutes for full recovery to help."
Erix suddenly thought of something and said, "Wait, I have an unobstructed space route from the surface to our location that's two thousand and four hundred kilometers deep. That golem can't come here if I bring all of you here with my teleporting, right? I have potions, so recovering Prana is not a problem, and that's all I need for teleporting."
[Tessa: Unfortunately for us, That freak golem is easily able to go under the ground. Its Earth and Metal elemental powers are very high. It's a crazy walking treasure golem made of exotic materials of this planet.]
"You guys can't escape from it?" Rin asked with a speechless expression.
[Tessa: Cannot. It can completely turn elemental and travel through the ground without obstruction, and its sensing range is higher due to…duh. You should know how. Anyway, there's no other choice but to destroy its core and defeat it.]
Rin and Erix looked at each other.
"What to do, darling?" Rin wryly smiled. "It's supposedly a freak golem with 319,940 of Power level. That's too much for us."
[Tessa: I just asked. Haru can't survive for a full thirty minutes. He has no Blood Essence in store, so he can't boost himself, and once he exhausts his Spirit force, that Golem will be able to catch him.]
Suddenly, the voice switched from Tessa to Hallar.
[Hallar: You both have a powerful Bloodline, so please tell me that you have some Blood Essence in store.]
"We have," Erix said. "And that's our trump card. Our Blood Essence will boost our attacks significantly, but we'll also need Spirit Force for more boost. It's a difference of freaking two-hundred thousand power level. Even if we want to affect a tiny spot and corrode its external defense, we'll have to give our all."
After two seconds of silence, Hallar's voice came.
[Hallar: Alright. You have thirty minutes, but if you can do it early, please do it and inform us. Our situation is both golden and dangerous. We've sensed the presence of others, but due to the golem, they are not approaching us. And if we bring the Golem there, the core is as good as secured because no one will approach there.]
"Alright," Erix replied before cutting off communication.
"They are bringing such a terrible troublemaker," Rin rolled her eyes.
"I'll teleport us after releasing our attacks," Erix said as he rubbed his chin, "We'll have to truly go all out by using Blood Essence, and that too on two suitable attacks that can penetrate its defense."
"I leave the spot-finding to you," Rin grinned. "Just tell me where I have to attack."
"Yep. They don't know I also got Metal affinity at 4th realm," Erix smiled. "I should be able to scan that Golem's structure with my Space Mapping and find an optimal spot for us to reduce its defense towards its core."
Rin got up and sat in meditation, "Let's recover quickly with deep focus. At best, we should be able to recover our Spirit force to full in around twenty-five minutes."
…
Fifteen minutes later…
Hallar and others finally arrived at the location right above Erix and Rin.
[Hallar: Erix, we've arrived at the surface. You got fifteen minutes more.]
[Erix: We are coming to the surface and will recover the rest of Spirit Force in deep focus there.]
[Hallar: You don't need to waste time coming up here for now if you want to. Even if the Golem reaches here, we can survive for a few minutes against it. Leirat and Meiker have specialized debuffs to reduce the golem's damage and senses, while Dinda is specialized in defense.]
[Erix: Alright, then we'll come up once as soon as possible once we recover.]
On the other hand…
A dark pink starry light with cyan sparks moving through the sky speedily. It was Haru in his bloodline form, and his speed was forty-five times the speed of sound, approximately 15 kilometers per second, which was his maximum achievable speed on this planet at his full power.
The giant golem was a few kilometers behind him, but it was still releasing fast beam attacks toward him to kill him while moving speedily through the ground.
It could break down and merge through the planet's ground while also reconstructing on the surface at will.
This walking disaster was not supposed to be born on this planet, but all the elements and properties of the planet were volatile due to the planet's life nearing its end, causing this monster to be born that was more powerful than the mission's upper limit of 200k Power Level.
The other people on the planet, some on the far side were safe, but those near the route where Haru passed through quickly escaped upon sensing its powerful aura.
'You all better do something!' Haru was scared for his life and prayed his team would do something about this darn Golem.
But suddenly, the Golem paused. Haru immediately sensed it stopping because he was tracking it for his safety.
"What the fuck?" Haru turned around confusedly and narrowed his eyes which shone faintly golden. He extended his spiritual sense, but the golem soon escaped his radar as it went deep under the ground at breakneck speed.
"Fuck it, I'm escaping," Haru didn't stop and immediately continued flying towards Erix's comm card's location.
Several hundred kilometers deep were two people searching for the core. They were from the 97th ranked Serenate Wings cosmic faction.
Alas...the moment they sensed the Golem, it was too late. A radioactive colorful laser with a high amount of Metal and Earth elements blasted into their cave, obliterating both of them.
Those two were barely around 150k Power level, so it was simply impossible for them to defend against a sudden powerful attack.
[Haru: Guys, I think I lost the Golem. It suddenly went underground.]
[Tessa: Underground? Why?]
[Haru: I don't know. Maybe it found some people? Anyway, I am safe, so I am coming there.]
Dinda and Millia had also arrived at the spot at full speed after knowing the situation and plan, but listening to the good news from Haru, everyone was overjoyed.
"It's good if that golem goes after others, but to be on the safer side, let's meditate and quickly recover to full first," Millia said, her wolf ears stiff while her expression was severe.
The group entered meditation to recover their Spirit force and soul force after Dinda created a barrier.
Haru arrived five minutes later and joined them in recovery.
Rin and Erix were also recovering under the ground, but…nobody knew that the Golem was approaching the core.
