Chapter 1120: Supreme Lord II
"Lucia is having fun with her friends, isn’t she?" Alice asked a moment later, her hand resting on her belly.
Michael embraced her tightly and switched the image to show what their daughter and the other children had been up to.
First, Michael and Alice watched Lucia roaming through the Origin Expanse. Michael teleported them to a Beginner Region far away from the Untamed Jungle without any items. Their War Rune storages had been emptied, their Artifacts removed, and even their Energy Pillar was crushed, removed, and only put back together when no energy was left within them. The process took a few months to avoid further problems, but Lucia and her friends returned to Tierless Awakened without benefits other than their Soultraits.
Michael didn’t understand why Lucia and her friends wanted to be Tierless Awakened or why they wished to leave, but apparently Alice understood their intentions very well.
"All they want is to live their lives to the fullest. They could become Gods by staying in your territory, given their talent, but it is very boring. Nobody dares to think about claiming or attacking the Untamed Jungle since everyone knows that the Untamed Jungle belongs to you. You also told everyone to stop fighting the Lords outside the Untamed Jungle, which destroys all of the youths’ competition.
They can only fight each other since you’ve also urged the Untamed Jungle to stop expanding now that it is a Primal Region again. I understand that they want some challenge and that they want to go through the same exciting times as you – or we – did," Alice explained to Michael, who looked at his lover deep in thought.
"Is that also why they went to the Tritan Alliance? Because they want to go through the same as we did?" Michael asked, even though he knew the answer already.
Lucia had always been an energetic child. However, the last few years had been too boring for her. That was how she devised the "Zero to Hero" plan. That was what she called it, though Michael was unsure if he could call it that. It was more of an ’early grave’ plan, given the way Lucia treated the dangers of the cosmos and Origin Expanse.
She didn’t take the threats of the Origin Expanse seriously because she had always been around the strongest entities of the Origin Expanse. She was raised in a Primal Region by the New Primal, alongside Divine Beasts and the like. Of course, she wouldn’t take this seriously, especially with her lack of finances, planning, and ruling knowledge.
Michael had been unsure what to do about Lucia for a while but acknowledged her drive to independence. He didn’t intervene and watched her from the sidelines instead. That hurt his heart at times because Lucia told him not to contact him while she was busy. She was worried that she would ask him for help if they were to talk and decided it was best to contact each other only after the foundation of her territory had been completed.
Lucia messed up a few times. She used her entire fortune for things they didn’t need and built structures like Alchemy Towers long before they summoned an Alchemist while also neglecting the three Blacksmiths they’d summoned. Lucia struggled for a long time but didn’t hate it. On the contrary, she was happy with the new responsibilities and tasks ahead.
That was also why Michael liked watching her. It was nice to see his daughter smile like that.
She was happy.
The same applied to Hiraku and his wife, the fiance he had left long ago – before joining Michael. Hiraku and his wife were happy parents of 21 children and a grand total of 85 grandchildren.
Michael switched the mirror images to show Hiraku, his wife, and his family as they gathered for one of the grandchildren’s birthdays. In Hiraku’s family no week passed without a birthday or celebration. Their family consisted of way too many children to go through weeks without celebrations. But that was what made it special. Their lives were filled with joyous celebrations and happiness.
"Is Hellen pregnant again?" Alice asked in surprise as her attention drifted to Hiraku’s wife. Her belly, to be precise.
"It looks like it," Michael responded while also examining the other women in the family. At least three more women were pregnant in the images. That was…interesting.
"They’re doing a good job at fixing the low birthrate of the last century," Michael chuckled, which resulted in a pinch in his sides.
"You shouldn’t make fun of them," Alice snickered, her eyes glowing in excitement as she looked at the children roaming around.
He smiled at Alice and pulled her closer to him.
Even though they had only given birth to one child, Michael and Alice were satisfied. Alice would have been happy with a few more children, but it was not easy for a Goddess and a Primal to give birth to a child. In the first place, the Guardians were known for being too powerful to impregnate someone. That was what most people said, at least. It was a good explanation as to why no more Primal and Guardians emerged out of nowhere. Experience exclusive tales on NovelBin.Côm
However, the truth was that the Primal weren’t made to reproduce. They were made of Essence of the Origin and were made for the sole purpose of protecting the Origin Universe. They didn’t have the means to reproduce. On the other hand, Michael was an ordinary human before becoming the New Primal. Nobody knew whether Michael and Alice could get pregnant with another child.
However, one thing was certain: If Alice got pregnant, the child would be unique. At the incredibly low chance of Alice getting pregnant, the child would be the product of the New Primal and a Goddess. The baby was likely to be an even greater troublemaker than Lucia had been.
Michael held Alice tightly and switched the picture to show Frederik and Jacqueline in the Tritan Alliance. They had given birth to a few more children over the last few decades, but it was growing increasingly more difficult for them to get pregnant again. After all, their bodies’ drive to reproduce dwindled as their Tier increased.
Still, Frederik and Jacqueline were happy. They spent their days in the Tritan Alliance, protecting it – even if that wasn’t necessary – and stayed with their families. The couple considered leaving the Tritan Alliance in a few years to join Daniel and Rebecca’s expedition but they were still uncertain. They had yet to make their final decision.
It was the exact same in Kaleb’s situation.
He was also unsure what he was supposed to do now that he was the head of the Zenovia house.
