Supreme Martial God of the City

Chapter 455: Confused, Star Peak (Seeking monthly ticket and subscription)

"Whew whew whew~~~~"

A breeze blew by, yellow leaves danced in the air, sorrowful and desolate.

"Old Zhan, is this really where Star Peak is? My God, this is like a barren mountain!"

"Where is everybody? Where is everybody??"

Ye Tian was dumbfounded, looking at the endless emptiness of Star Peak, feeling utterly chilly inside.

"Ahem, from today on, you are the third disciple of our Star Peak. Do your best."

"Cheer up. This token holds five hundred Star Points. Buy anything you need."

Next to Ye Tian, stood an elder with white hair, wearing a tattered Daoist robe, who flew up the mountain like a gust of wind, leaving behind a very dashing figure.

"This is too much of a rip-off, it's eerily quiet like a ghost town," Ye Tian said with a bitter smile, looking at the "Star Sect Introduction" book and a blue token in his hand, "Forget it, it suits me well enough. From now on, I am the Mountain King."

After ascending the Star Ancient Path, Ye Tian started to choose his cultivation peak. The Star Sect had five peaks: Sun, Moon, Heaven, Earth, and lastly, Star Peak where Ye Tian was assigned.

Ning Wei naturally chose Moon Peak, which only accepts female disciples. Additionally, she was taken in as a closed-door disciple by the Star Sect's ancestor, making all the other martial artists envious. But she truly had the talent for it.

Everyone else chose the Sun, Moon, Heaven, and Earth Peaks. Xu Que was valued by the Star Sect Master on Sun Peak. Initially, Ye Tian wanted to go to Moon Peak but was flatly refused, leaving him quite embarrassed.

In the end, he was tricked by Star Peak's Peak Master Xing Zhan Tian. Ye Tian felt the Peak Master's name was imposing and his cultivation was at the Third Rank Mortal Martial Realm, making him a top-tier expert among the elders. However, to Ye Tian's surprise, no one else chose Star Peak.

He could never forget the sympathetic looks from the other martial artists as he walked away—truly heartbreaking to see!

According to Xing Zhan Tian, Star Peak was once the most powerful peak in the Star Sect. During its heyday, many strong experts came from Star Peak and even had a place on the Kunlun Divine List. However, it declined after the Nine Heavens Star Technique was lost.

Despite its decline, Star Peak wasn't supposed to be this desolate, with only three people in total. Who was the third person? Ye Tian asked Xing Zhan Tian, but he showed a deeply pained expression and said nothing.

Ye Tian looked at the desolate peak, full of wild grasses, resembling more of a primitive forest. In contrast, the other peaks were magnificent and bustling, with the sounds of martial arts practice echoing occasionally, making them seem very lively.

"Never mind, I'm here to have fun anyway. Let's take it one step at a time," Ye Tian shook his head and said, "Oh right, it seems this token can exchange for some items."

Ye Tian paused his steps, deep in thought, deciding to head to the main hall first and use his token to exchange for some daily necessities before climbing the mountain.

....

"Selling, selling, First-tier peak Spiritual Medicine, only fifty points."

"Don't miss it, don't miss it, Second Order Divine Weapon, slices through iron like mud, only one hundred points."

As soon as he walked into the trading hall of the Star Sect, many sect disciples were setting up stalls on the ground, shouting loudly, straining their voices from shouting so much.

Ye Tian's face turned dark, "These aren't worth it at all. Second Order Divine Weapon? More like scrap metal."

"Miss, three hundred points, really can't go any lower. I risked my life to bring this sword back from some ancient ruins. I lost four or five brothers for this sword."

"It's truly a Second Order Divine Weapon. Look at the aura; I'm not lying, definitely genuine."

The chaotic bargaining caught Ye Tian's attention. At a glance, wasn't it Ning Wei standing there? She seemed hesitant, while the man in front of her looked somewhat pleased with himself.

The man was holding a blue sword that, at first glance, seemed to fit the appearance of a Second Order Spirit Artifact, but Ye Tian could tell immediately that the sword was a fake.

"Alright, then three hundred points." Ning Wei hesitated for a long time, and the man kept urging her, "Give me the sword!!"

Watching Ning Wei hand her points token to the short, sneaky man, she looked like a harmless little rabbit, ready to be slaughtered.

"Miss Ning, do you remember me?"

Ye Tian grabbed Ning Wei's hand, feeling the jade-like softness.

"Young Master Mu...why are you here?"

"I'm sorry about last time, it was my fault."

Ning Wei looked up and met Ye Tian's clear eyes, instantly feeling guilty and lowering her head.

"Hey, you're interrupting my transaction with this young lady. Please let go of her hand."

The short, sneaky man looked at Ye Tian with dissatisfaction, shoving his shoulder.

Ye Tian let go of Ning Wei's hand, walked in front of her, and smiled faintly, "So this is a Second Order Spirit Artifact? What a great sword, only three hundred points, such a steal!"

After speaking, the corner of Ye Tian's mouth lifted slightly, looking at the short, sneaky man.

"What do you mean? This sword is genuine. Don't you dare slander me," the short, sneaky man said anxiously, fearing Ye Tian had discovered something, "Miss, don't be deceived by this man. If you want it, act fast, or else I'll sell it to someone else."

"Is that so? The array inside is well done, making the fake look real."

Ye Tian took the blue sword, tapped it with his finger, and a blue light flashed, revealing a black, dull sword, devoid of any luster.

"You...you broke my Second Order Spirit Artifact. You owe me three hundred points."

"Or I'll report you to the Law Enforcement Hall. My brother works there, you know."

The short, sneaky man whispered fiercely into Ye Tian's ear and then shouted loudly, attracting a crowd of martial artists.

"Young Master Mu, this sword was fake? But what do we do now? So many people are gathering!"

Soon, the martial artists surrounded the three of them, pointing and talking curiously, "Xiong Wei is at it again, scamming newcomers, how pitiful."

"I've heard his brother Xiong Dali works in the Law Enforcement Hall, and he always does whatever he wants in this trading hall."

"You're just in time. This newbie ruined my Second Order Spirit Artifact by falsely claiming it's fake. He should compensate me for my losses."

The short, sneaky man lifted the black, dull sword and cried out miserably among familiar faces.

"Second Order Spirit Artifact??"

"Let's see if it's real. If it's genuine, it could crush an Earth-rank Martial Artist into powder."

"Tsk tsk~~~"

Ye Tian showed no fear, grabbing the so-called Second Order Spirit Artifact and crushing it into powder with one hand, walking away gracefully.

"Haha, Xiong Wei didn't expect to suffer at the hands of a new disciple. Everyone murmured softly, understanding that only a fake Second Order Spirit Artifact could be crushed by an Earth-rank Martial Artist."

"Damn it, you'll see!"
