"That's the dungeon entrance?" He was surprised. He'd always assumed dungeon entrances were underground or at the foot of mountains.

But here it was, right on the mountainside.

"Yes, that's the dungeon entrance." Kazuma explained, "This is called Keele's Dungeon. Long ago, a great mage named Keele fell in love with a noble lady, and they..."

Hearing this, Adam remembered the lich from the original story — Arch-Lich Keele, who was purified by Aqua.

'No way... is this what super high luck looks like?' He marveled.

He had specifically asked Kazuma to find an easy dungeon, since they only wanted to gain experience and familiarize themselves with the exploration process, not seek riches. They needed something simple and safe.

Kazuma had confidently assured him this dungeon was already explored, held no dangers, and contained no treasures — they could proceed without worry.

Adam had believed him. Yet this was the treasure-filled dungeon of the Arch-Lich?

Is this what super high luck looks like? He wanted that!

Arriving at the dungeon entrance.

"Alright, from here on, Kazuma and I will explore. Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin, you three wait for us at the shelter. If we haven't returned after one day, go to town and ask Luna to organize a rescue party of adventurers, okay?"

He made sure the three women understood their responsibilities and wouldn't get carried away.

"Are you really going?" Aqua asked worriedly, "Why don't we wait for Chris to return before exploring the dungeon? I'm really concerned — maybe I should come along too."

"Hey, Aqua! You don't trust me, do you! Don't look down on me, you idiot!" Kazuma snapped, understanding her implied doubt.

Though she hadn't said it directly, she clearly worried he wouldn't be useful and would cause trouble for their leader.

Trying to prove his worth as Adam's guide, he declared, "Chris taught me an archer skill called Farsight that lets you see object shapes in completely dark environments. In other words, even without light, I can safely guide Carter-senpai past traps and around monsters. Besides, I've already taught this skill to him too."

"Well, that's how it is." Adam chuckled and pinched her soft cheek, "Aqua, don't worry. We're just scouting today — checking the terrain, testing our skills, and looking for traps. We'll be back soon."

This wasn't just to reassure her — he was genuinely concerned she might try to follow them secretly.

If she did leave, Darkness and Megumin would certainly trail after her. And if anything unexpected happened, he wouldn't be able to protect all of them.

"Alright, let's go, Kazuma-kun."

Without further delay, he motioned for Kazuma to enter the dungeon.

But they hadn't made it far before being discovered.

To the undead who had dwelled in this dark, cold dungeon for ages, the two living humans must have shone like beacons. Like zombies from horror movies, the undead caught their scent and surged forward in hordes, blocking the path completely.
