Dark Hot Pot, as its name suggests, combines dark cuisine with hot pot.

The concept of "dark cuisine" originated in Cooking Master Boy (Chūka Ichiban!), initially meaning food with overwhelming power to conquer taste buds. Over time, it came to simply mean food that was difficult to swallow.

Dark Hot Pot, however, is different — it's hot pot heresy!

It combines rare and unusual ingredients that create unexpected flavors in the pot, becoming a delicious dish only the brave dare to try.

It's the king of cuisines!

Though called dark cuisine, its taste remains a mystery until you try it. Since the ingredients vary each time, so does the flavor.

This cooking style mirrors quantum superposition — good and bad tastes exist simultaneously until you actually eat it.

You might even call it Schrödinger's Hot Pot!

It's a perfect game for bringing friends closer together.

To play Dark Hot Pot, follow these three strict rules:

First: Each person secretly adds 1-3 ingredients. No one knows what others have added!

Second: Only edible ingredients are allowed!

Third: You must eat whatever you scoop from the pot!

"Are we really doing this?" Megumin asked, concerned, "Isn't it wasteful? This is really rare premium beef."

As someone who treasured ingredients, she naturally worried about wasting such quality food.

"It's fine." Darkness said, "We have plenty more in the kitchen. We'll have enough to enjoy normal food after we finish playing."

She thoughtfully set aside plenty of premium beef for Megumin.

"Really? That's great! Darkness is so considerate!" Hearing there were more ingredients, the little girl beamed with happiness.

"Thank you for inviting me, but is it really okay to include someone like me, a lich?" Sitting at the far end of the table in her large chair, Wiz spoke timidly, her usual lack of confidence showing through.

Though she tried to appear composed, Aqua had been glaring at her with glowing red eyes since she arrived. The goddess's terrifying expression — clearly wanting to purify Wiz — had forced the poor lich to cower in the chair furthest away, trembling as if sitting on pins and needles.

"This is an apology, Wiz." Adam pinched Aqua's cheeks to stop her fierce expression while gesturing for Wiz to relax, "The other day, Aqua caused quite a scene in your magic item shop, and I'm truly sorry about that. We invited you partly to make amends, so please don't hold back — eat as much as you'd like."

Wiz was deeply moved, knowing he had invited her because he worried about her being lonely.

But before she could express her gratitude, she noticed the red light in Aqua's eyes intensifying, the goddess's displeasure clearly visible.

"Eek! Y-yes, thank you very much!!!" She squeaked in terror and fell silent.

"Well, shall we begin?" Kazuma's mouth curved into a malicious smile, looking sinister in the candlelight.

This guy was clearly announcing his intention to cause trouble.

"Yes, the preparations are done. Let's start."

As Adam's words fell, Kazuma extinguished the oil lamps in front of everyone.

Instantly, the dining room plunged into darkness.

"Everyone, let's add our prepared ingredients in order." Adam said to Aqua beside him, "Aqua will start, then Megumin, Kazuma, Wiz, Darkness, and finally me, okay?"

"Oh!" x5

"Hehehe, fear me, you useless Kazuma! I've prepared some really good ingredients!" Although Aqua said this, her meaning was completely opposite to reality.

"Hey, Aqua! This is just a game — don't go too far!" Even Kazuma grew nervous.

When it came to causing trouble, no one could match Aqua, this problem child with a head full of water. If they didn't stop her quickly, she might do something outrageously extreme!

However, she wouldn't stop there.

She threw some kind of fruit into the hot pot. Instantly, a horrible stench erupted!

"Ugh! W-what is this?!"

The nauseating smell was overwhelmingly pungent, making everyone dizzy and weak. Its power far exceeded special foods like durian and stinky tofu!

This was no longer just an ingredient — calling it a biological weapon wouldn't be an exaggeration!

"Stupid Aqua! What did you put in there, you idiot! Ugh!" Kazuma shouted angrily.

"It's noni fruit." Wiz said weakly from the side.

"What? What's that?" Having only been in this world for a short time, Kazuma had no idea what noni fruit was.

The smell was too intense, and Wiz collapsed onto the table.

She weakly explained, "Noni fruit is extremely rare and emits such a foul odor that it's nearly impossible to approach. Even monsters flee from its smell. Adventurers often use diluted noni juice on themselves to repel predatory monsters."

With those final words, Wiz peacefully closed her eyes and passed out.

"Another world even has fruit like this?!" Kazuma's face contorted in despair, "Stupid Aqua! I told you this was just a game — why would you do something like this, you brain-dead goddess!"

His weak insults met with silence from Aqua.

A sense of doom crept over Kazuma.

Fighting against his growing dizziness, he shakily lit the oil lamp on the table. The scene before him was horrifying.

Everyone lay collapsed across the table!

"W-what's happened to Wiz, Megumin, Darkness, Aqua, and even Carter-senpai?!"

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Kazuma stumbled toward the mansion's exit to seek help.

But he made it just three meters before crumpling to the ground, unconscious.

On this day, the hero party was completely wiped out!
