When I saw the expression of the family members that exclaimed for me choosing this thing I became stunned as only I know the history and importance of this thing.

It is a silver pendant with five pointed cross. And I know that it is a Quincy cross that Quincy uses for creating spirit weapons such as bow. But how can they ( family members that exclaimed) knew about this.

As Jay began to look for his father's expression to see that if his father also knew something. But as he turned towards his father, his eyes directly meet his father's eyes and he is stunned to see his grimace expression.

At that moment my father finally revealed the history and importance of this pendant.

"Silence, this is Protector's pendant, and if a child of Runcandel chooses it in the selection ceremony they have to give up their position as a future flagbearer. It means that from now on Jay Runcandel loses his rights to fight for Patriarch position." My father said with deep voice.

"Ok, my decision is final. Send both of them to strom castle." After telling his final decision he walked out of the hall followed by all family members.

After hearing my father's decision I also understand why he is a qualified Patriarch and my respect for him became more firm.

After hearing the news of me being disqualified for fight for Patriarch's position some people become happy and some sad. Well sad because they think that I wasn't given a chance to prove myself. But the ones that are truly happy and sad for me is only Gilly my caretaker. She was happy for me because I don't have to fight my siblings but she was sad because she thinks it was unfair for me to not having a chance. But even if they were happy or sad about my situation, I am currently most happy because I was given the pendant as it is stated in rules to wear it from the day it was chosen. I don't know why but I have a feeling that this is one of the conditions to gain access to the knowledge and power that Soul King gives me.

When Jay was sleeping suddenly invisible chain started to crawl towards his body. The chain is black in color and in the darkness of night it is not visible. When the chain reaches to the Jay it starts to bind his body, but something happens at that time.

Suddenly a hand grab the chain and fully dragged it in the body of Jay, but surprisingly Jay didn't feel any uncomfort and slept peacefully.

But this scene caught someone eye.

"What is that thing? It looks like a hand but how can a hand grow out of nowhere from his body?" This is Jin thinking.

When he was reborn and see his twin brother that should not have exist. At first he was stunned but after some time he thought that he also reincarnated so something changed his past and now at this present he has a younger twin brother. But now when he was witnessing this event he understood that his brother is not an ordinary person, maybe something like him. As he was the contractor of Soledert. The god of shadows, a god that every magician wants to contract. And he decided to be wary of this brother, even if he knew that his brother cannot fight for Patriarch position. But this doesn't show that he won't become a potential enemy in future.

As Jay was sleeping soundly, he doesn't know that his brother decided to be cautious around him.
