Chapter 814: You Won't Regret This Decision

Azothrall felt confused, hurt, and unresigned as Rocky smashed its body repeatedly on the ground like a hammer, the latter venting all of the frustration it accumulated from the past three weeks.

This hateful display of power caused the ground to shake, expanding to the surface, causing a full-blown earthquake.

Rocky didn't give a damn about what was happening around it and single-mindedly thrashed Azothrall, who once thought that it could overpower and kill the monster that only knew to run and hide like a coward.

This sudden reversal caught it completely by surprise. It no longer wanted to fight Rocky.

It even wanted to flee and find weaker prey to hunt.

But that was easier said than done.

Rocky was usually a very docile monster and wouldn't attack anyone unless he deemed that it was an enemy.

Thirteen made sure that none of the monsters accompanying him would attack people randomly, as it would cause a big problem if they accidentally killed an innocent.

But there was a famous saying.

Even demons run when a good man goes to war.

In this case, Rocky, who was considered the good man from that quote, was now rampaging like mad, which would put the H*lk to shame if the latter ever saw this scene.

The brutality the Hellfire Bal-Boa was capable of far surpassed its previous form, turning its opponent into a rag doll.

The only thing sustaining Azothrall's body was its regeneration abilities, which was pushed to the limit.

Even so, the Alien-like Monster, who hadn't eaten and rested properly during its pursuit, found itself unable to muster any more strength as if it was already a spent candle.

Due to its strength and power, it forgot that it was just newly hatched from its egg.

It might be a biological weapon, but it was still a juvenile in the end.

A child who had yet to mature and reach its full potential.

If it was given time to grow naturally, it would become a truly terrifying creature that would threaten the balance of Solterra.

Sensing that its enemy was now unable to regenerate its injuries rapidly, Rocky understood that this was the perfect opportunity to kill it.

However, just as he was about to give the killing blow, it heard a voice speak inside his head, causing it to stop its killing blow.

"I'll take it over from here, Rocky."

A portal appeared in front of the Hellfire Bal-Boa, and the God of the Apocalypse, Metatron, smiled at the newly evolved monster.

"If your master is awake, he will definitely stop you from killing this creature," Metatron stated.

"There is much to gain by studying it and learning what makes its body function. Now that it no longer has the power to resist, won't you give it to me? Of course, I will give your Master proper compensation when he wakes up."

Rocky hesitated because he didn't know what to do at the moment. A part of him wanted to eliminate this threat once and for all, but the other half understood that what Metatron was saying was right.

If his master was awake, Thirteen might have also asked him to spare the life of this monster so that he could experiment on and dissect its body.

Just as the Hellfire Balboa struggled to decide what to do, Tiona spoke to him and convinced Rocky to hand over the Alien-like Monster to Metatron.

Since his "Second Boss" had spoken, Rocky no longer hesitated and handed over Azothrall to Metatron.

"You won't regret this decision, Tiona," Metatron, who knew that the one that convinced Rocky was the Black Snake, smiled before waving his hand to disperse the portal he created.

Having won the battle, the Hellfire Bal-Boa raised his head and roared, declaring himself the final victor of the fight.

After roaring for a few minutes, it once again submerged itself in the river of magma.

Rocky planned to rest, for his body and mind had also reached its limit.

Tiona was finally able to feel relieved, knowing that the threat to them was now gone.

She then divulged this information to Erica, who spread the news to the rest.

This finally made the members of the Hero Party, as well as the Slaves whom they had freed, breathe a little easier.

Although they didn't see the battle firsthand, they were still aware that Zion and Rocky had fought to exhaustion for their sake.

Three days after the battle ended, Zion finally opened his eyes.

The first thing he noticed was that he was being embraced by someone, whom he thought was Erica.

However, since his face was resting on the young lady's chest, he immediately noticed something different.

'Did it get smaller?' Thirteen thought. 'Was she not eating properly because she is worried about me?'

But before Thirteen could entertain this thought, the young lady hugging him suddenly moved.

"You're finally awake, Zion," Shana's beautiful face appeared in his vision.

Thirteen blinked once then twice before the gears in his head finally started to turn.

"Ah, that explains why it seems smaller than before," Thirteen muttered.

"Smaller?" Shana, who heard the teenage boy's mumbling, asked. "What seemed smaller than before?"

"Nothing," Thirteen, who realized that he had made a mistake, replied. "Can you tell me what's our current situation? How long have I been unconscious?"

The fact that Shana was currently with him meant that Rocky managed to survive the Alien-like Monster's relentless attacks.

The Saintess, who was very relieved that Zion had finally woken up, forgot his earlier slip-up and told him that they were no longer in danger.

"Rocky defeated the monster and is now resting to regain his strength," Shana explained. "According to Tiona, he will probably be sleeping for a few days."

"I see." Thirteen nodded in understanding. "He deserves his rest."

Suddenly, Tiona crawled inside the room through the window and headed straight to her Master.

The Black Snake flicked her forked tongue on Zion's cheek many times as if kissing him repeatedly.

Seeing this scene, Shana couldn't help but giggle.

She had been feeling stressed and anxious during the past few days because she knew that all of this was happening because of her.

Of course, Erica assured her that this wasn't the case.

She added that Zion would have done the same if she, Sherry, Diana, or Mildred were in the same situation and that she shouldn't blame herself for being the victim of this incident.

Suddenly and without warning, Thirteen's stomach growled in protest, making the Saintess giggle for the second time.

"Wait here. I'll get you something to eat," Shana said before leaving the room.

When he was certain that the young lady was no longer around, Thirteen asked Tiona about what really happened in the fight between Rocky and the Alien Monster that they faced.

Tiona didn't hide anything and told Zion everything.

When the teenage boy heard that Metatron had come to acquire the Alien Monster from Rocky, a look of approval appeared on his face.

"You did the right thing," Thirteen said as he patted Tiona's head. "I hope he manages to research that monster properly."

Just like Metatron, Thirteen's hands were also itching because he wanted to dissect the monster and see how it was created.

He had experience in analyzing mutant variants, so he was certain that he could create something similar if given enough time.

'I guess I'll just wait until I fully recover before I see Metatron,' Thirteen thought.

He was certain that by the time he visited the Order of the Apocalypse, Metatron would have already fully researched the monster's body, ready to give him a summary of everything he had discovered.
