On a bright and glorious morning in the northern region of the Glory City, outside the premises of the region from the wilderness a lonesome figure appeared around the main path. The road was not busy even still some carriage seldom passed.

But to any passerby this wasn't a strange scene because many people go outside to hunt for demon beast, the strange thing was the figure was of a dark orange haired blue eyed youngster! He was wearing a simple completely black outfit, his body permeating a faint smell of blood.

Although he looked extremely young his body language and aura was similar to a veteran hunter.

Nie Li looked around himself searching for someone to guide him through the route, and saw a little bit of crowd, he walked forward tossing a coin and asked someone about the direction of a Spirit Hall and went on his way. Nie Li decided to deal with the first business on hand and take a look at Beast Spirit to decide what to do.

Nie Li wants to merge as soon as possible with his second beast, but he is not sure about what to choose. Having an flexible soul attribute like Phantom Shadow Soul enables him to merge with any beast without any trouble or hindrance. Ideally, he wants to get his hands on a fighter type beast.

Soon, Nie Li stood before a big pavilion like construction and enter inside. He was received mildly because of his average outfit but looking at his refined features no could distinguish him as just a commoner so, not taking the risk, the staff welcomed him.

Afterwards a women guided him towards a simple room. To the workers, Nie Li looked very young and his clothes weren't very high class, so they didn't take him as a serious customer and if it weren't for his stern look, they would have even considered him as a brat just browsing around looking around in fascination,wasting their time and would have been chased off.

Even though they didn't acted arrogantly and did anything disrespectful and recived him, Nie Li could sense the gaze of the women leading him as she seemed to say 'don't waste my time'.

Nie Li didn't give a single glace at the beautiful attendent and sat nonchalantly.

"I am here to buy demon spirit, show me your collection." Nie Li spoke in neither an offending or a pleasing voice as if he was talking to air. The hostesses was a bit pissed and let out a challenging sneer, she knew that only a Silver rank demon spiritualist can merge with a demon spirit and this kid was way too young to be a silver rank demon spiritualist so, he must be here to just take a look at them.

The attendent said, lightly smiling. Her eyes were looking at Nie Li for a while with an annoyed look, "May I ask what kind of demon spirit is costumer looking for? We have all types of demon spirits here." She took out a book, in it were all kinds of demon spirit pictures. There were several hundreds of them. All kinds of types or attributes etc… were listed clearly.

Fang Spirit Merchant Hall is northern Glory City's biggest demon spirit trader after Xuan Spirit Merchant Hall. They would acquire a huge amount of demon spirits from adventurers daily, and then resell them. In between, they had many precious demon spirits. The higher the grade, the more rare and expensive it is. The cheapest ones can be bought with a few hundreds or a few thousands of demon spirit coins. The most expensive ones would be several millions of demon spirit coins.

'Lets see what expression you make after seeing the price, little brat?' She secretly thought to herself. The Merchant Hall has a reputation to keep hence, they cannot just chase him away.

It would present them as narrow minded. They have to be fair at least on the surface when dealing with a customer.

Nie Li did not see the book at all. He looked at women and asked, "Show me all that you have?"

'*sigh* So troublesome! should I go somewhere else, that Xuan Spirit Merchant Hall is just a bit far away.' Nie Li thought. He knew that the demon spirits within Xuan Spirit Merchant Hall are the best among the northern parts of Glory City. In that place is quite a few good demon spirits.

The only reason why he came here was because of it being closer to his position. But the behavior is annoying him, Nie Li looked at the women coldly leaking a bit of his killing intent and said, "Do you have a hearing problem?Just bring the beasts or I would go somewhere else, there is no lack of Merchant Hall in Glory City."

The temperature in the room dropped, the women shivered being stared like this. Her contemptuous smile dropped and she felt as if a ferocious beast was eyeing her. She immediately took a step back and muttered, " I-I will bring the collection sir. "

Immediately after she bolted away from the room, Nie Li reigned his aura as he gazed lightly in a corner where he could feel a person appearing probably alerted by him, 'I will just see if they have something good. This is the reason why I rather live in wilderness.'

Nie Li isn't very cordial in his behavior because he couldn't be bothered, although he won't slight someone without any reason others have to respect him too. Even if he doesn't join any faction Nie Li is considered a valuable talent and he would be backed up anytime the need be. One should keep in mind that the position of the Association is just below the Three major families.

Soon after, the collection was presented before him as a bunch of demon spirit stones.

After being captured, demon spirits will be sealed within a demon spirit stone to store them.

Rows and rows of demon spirit stones were spread out on the table. The view was spectacular!

"These here are Silver rank Demon Spirits. The total price is somewhere around thirty to seventy thousand demon spirit coins. And these over here are Gold rank Demon Spirits. The total price is around two to four hundred thousand demon spirit coins!" She pointed towards the two sections of demon spirit stones and explained to Nie Li. After taking a moment to calm herself, she regained her composure. She introduced the spirits putting great emphasis on the price.

Aside from integration with a Demon Spiritualist, demon spirits can also be sealed within armours, allowing the armour to be powerful.

Silver rank and above, the price is already rather expensive. The price are frequently from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. Commoners are unable to afford them.

Nie Li judged them one by one figuring out the potential of the demon spirit with the scanning of A. I. Chip. To others, he looked as if he was clueless about what to do and was just wasting time, while in reality Nie Li was doing something which would take even trained people hours to do in an instant.

Nie Li began to sort them out and picked out a few Ordinary-grade ones and one Good-grade Demon Spirit, Nie Li was quite confused about which demon spirit to merge with since, he would need other's to be used as nutrients for the base Demon Spirit. In the end, he decided to pick out the one with best potential since, it would require least nurturing. As for the ability, after the refining there is a great chance that a modification or mutation may occur evolving the beast all together. Nie Li choose two main beast, one was a relatively better Ordinary-Grade Lighting Demon Spirit, He would refine it. If it's too good to let go, then he would keep it otherwise the intention was to gift in the first place.

The second was the only Good-grade Demon spirit which was of a fire-type beast, Nie Li would have preferred something else but there is no lack of attempts in future. If it's not to his taste then he would just devour it and feed it to others. Such is the tyranny of his cultivation techniques.

"I would like to purchase these Demon Spirit." Nie Li pointed his hands towards the bunch he choose. The grand total of his collection was around six hundred thousand.

"The price is still reasonable!" Nie Li nodded his head. Although he didn't like their attitude at least they were professional about their prices, not trying to rip him off.

Nie Li waved his right hand. The demon crystal cards appeared from his interspatial ring. He placed them on the table and said, "Check it!"

He is actually going to buy? Looking at the demon crystal cards, The female attendant was greatly shocked. This kid carried so much money! Then, he must be a noble descendants, she paled a bit thinking about her foul attitude towards him, cursing under the breath, since Nie Li can pay for the bills, there is absolutely no problem. Soon, her attitude did a 180° and she become very respectful.

Nie Li waved his right hand again, and threw all spirit stones into his interspatial ring.

"Please come again to visit us!" After the attendant finished counting the demon crystal cards, her smile became even more humble.

Nie Li looked at her and asked, "Do you know where Xuan Spirit Merchant Hall is?"

"Eh! " The hostesses was studded as she heard his query, She explained, " If young master need something else please tell me, I assure you that we have the best collection and we also give the best price."

Nie Li looked at her unimpressed and simply walked away. There is no lack of people who could show him the direction. Nie Li isn't leaving because of their attitude he won't act like a spoiled brat for such a stupid reason, he has already seen their whole collection and there is a limit to how much he can spend so, he would rather compare and buy the best ones in the most reasonable price.

The hostesses was quite offended by him but didn't say anything. Nie Li left the Merchant Hall soon and decided to visit the Xuan Spirit Merchant Hall.

The hostesses on the other hand was happy to have brought good business under her name, it was only in the evening when she got the news that the Xuan Spirit Merchant Hall deal a business of around Fifty Million Demon Spirit coins to a anonymous young master that she was shocked. She thought that maybe the person was the same one she hosted but soon shook her head dismissing the idea. Only when she would find out that Nie Li actually was the same person, what expression would she make.

'Oh something interesting happened in Hong Yue Auction House.' Nie Li was currently sitting in a study room as he read about a report detailing the happening in this auction House. This was where he sold some good treasures he had. That is why he kept an eye on this place. He came to an understanding that an unusual unidentified treasure was sold by the auction House which ended up being bought by a anonymous person at a high rate.

Although the treasure was presumably unusual according to Hong Yur Auction House. But the strong desire to buy it expressed from the customer surpassed the realm of just curiosity.

Nie Li put down the report and stood up. A person appeared behind him and stood respectively, "Jin, please go to the Heavenly Marks Family and request my family to come here to settle. You are already informed about them right?"

After buying the beast spirits from the Merchant Hall, Nie Li immediately left for Glory City. He reached the city after two dys and the first thing he did was to sell few of the corpses he had. Then he proceeded to buy a house and recruited some experts from Demon Spiritualist Association and Fighter Association.

The Demon Spiritualist Association and the Fighter Association are different from the Alchemist Association as they do not have much power. They are only responsible to register all of the commoner's Demon Spiritualists and Fighters. Generally, commoner Demon Spiritualists and Fighters would choose to be recruited by powerful families. That way, they would be able to get more cultivating resources and stable income for their families. As for those powerful families, by recruiting commoner Demon Spiritualists and Fighters, they can increase their strength.

Every family will maintain a certain guard strength for the family. As for the Nie Li, after buying the house. He also recruited some honest fighters and Demon Spiritualist from clean background to work for him. Nie Li is a genius from Alchemist Association with a bright future and he also offered good money so, he was able to quickly get many candidate out of which he hired a few.

Nie Li also decided to bring his family from the Heavenly Marks Family to settle here. They were the main reason he bought this mansion. Since he have decided to take care of them, he would follow through with it. As for the Clan, he couldn't care less. From the memories he could see that the family is divided into many branches with tough competition among themselves and Nie Li was bullied quite a lot. Nie Li couldn't be bothered with them.

'Back to more important things. A. I. Chip, show the progress.' Nie Li commanded.

Nie Li was a bit discouraged when he saw this, he has already spent demon spirit worth of 30 Million DSC and it was just at 36%.

This shows the difficulties in the progress. This method is a total money drainer, if it weren't for his collection from the treasure, and selling corpse and some other income from here and there this would have been impossible.

'In the process of evolving my second beast to God Grade, I would be hard pressed and if I were to add the Lightning one then I would be bank corrupt. I should give the Alchemist Master test and start making some elixir to establish a steady flow of income.' Nie Li thought as he was quite frustrated, even though he has some stuff which could sell for an amazing price and yield great profits. It is too eye catching and he would rather not get in the radar, unless he has the strength to protect himself.

Previously when he bought the Demon Spirits he wasn't afraid of anyone being suspicious because of his status, if Nie Li were to join a faction in Alchemist Association then any elder would happily give him some hefty money, and the amount of Demon Spirit he bought would suggest that he was running an errand for his backer, no one would think he actually needs so much Demon Spirits, people will be more concerned about figuring out who is his supporters and the camp he joined.

That is if anyone could be bothered in the first place, Nie Li has noticed that the Glory City is quite corrupt with underhanded dealings but the higher ups couldn't be bothered to do anything to change the situation. This is not because they are ignorant but rather the powerful has, had and always will suppress the weak.

They only had to be a little anonymous and take a roundabout way. Take for example does the Snow-wind family not know what tactics Sacred Family has employed to devour almost 80% of Winged Dragon family assets. They obviously know but they feign ignorance.

'Thankfully, this process can also help in increasing my realm and if I were to use all the beast spirit in my stock then I could probably increase the beasts grade as well as breakthrough to Gold rank.'

Nie Li is very pleased with the by-product of refining the beasts spirit which is increase in his strength. Nie Li has just recently broke through to 5-Star Silver Rank and now he has already touched the upper limit and is about to breakthrough again and the great pro is that his foundation is not compromised at all.

'I should breakthrough tonight, after my breakthrough I can begin my plan against Shen Yue and Shen Fei. Now that I think about it, I can even extract a sizable amount of contribution from the sacred family.' Nie Li thought as a sly smile appeared on his face.

Currently with his skills Nie Li is sure that no ordinary Gold Rank can match him and once he breakthrough again, then he would be simply unmatched and even Black-Gold rank would be hard pressed into locating him in Void Form.
