CHAPTER XXI

Ruby rested her head on Ava's shoulder, her eyes closed. She was thinking about what would happen next and what they should do. Ava understood Ruby's tension and was trying to understand her every word. Ava started talking to Ruby in a soothing tone, but Ruby told her that she wouldn't relax with small talk.

"Ava, I won't relax with small talk," Ruby said. "I need something else."

Ava understood Ruby's needs and asked, "Should I give you a head massage? Or do something else that you want?"

Ruby looked at Ava and said, "You can give me a full-body massage if you want."

Ava understood Ruby's implication and asked, "So, what should I use for the massage? Oil or something else?"

Ruby looked at Ava with loving eyes and said, "What do you think I should use?"

Ava felt a little nervous, but Ruby pulled her close and kissed her on the lips. Ava couldn't control her emotions and started kissing Ruby back.

Ruby's eyes locked onto Ava's, her gaze burning with desire. Ava's nervousness was palpable, but Ruby's gentle touch put her at ease. Ruby's lips brushed against Ava's, sending shivers down her spine.

Ava's eyes fluttered closed as Ruby deepened the kiss. Ruby's hands roamed over Ava's body, tracing the curves of her waist and the contours of her face. Ava's skin tingled under Ruby's touch, her heart racing with excitement.

Ruby's lips left Ava's, and she trailed kisses down Ava's neck, sending shivers down her spine. Ava's head fell back, her eyes closing in ecstasy as Ruby's lips danced across her skin.

Ruby's hands slid under Ava's shirt, tracing the curves of her breasts and the contours of her waist. Ava's breath caught in her throat as Ruby's fingers brushed against her skin.

"You're so beautiful," Ruby whispered, her lips tracing the curve of Ava's ear. Ava's heart skipped a beat as Ruby's words sent a flutter through her chest.

Ava's eyes opened, and she looked into Ruby's eyes, her gaze burning with desire. "I love you," Ava whispered, her voice barely audible.

Ruby's lips curved into a gentle smile, and she pulled Ava back into a tender kiss. As they kissed, their bodies entwined, their hearts beating as one.

In that moment, nothing else mattered. Only the two of them, lost in their own little world of love.

As they broke apart for air, Ruby smiled and looked into Ava's eyes. "I love you too," Ruby whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

Ava's face lit up with a radiant smile. "I'm so happy," Ava said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ruby's lips curved into a gentle smile. "Me too," Ruby replied, her eyes shining with happiness.

Ruby snuggled closer to Ava, her head resting on Ava's shoulder. "I feel so safe with you," Ruby whispered.

Ava's arms wrapped around Ruby, holding her close. "You are safe with me," Ava replied, her voice filled with conviction. "I'll always protect you."

Ruby looked up at Ava, her eyes shining with tears. "I know you will," Ruby said, her voice filled with trust.

Ava smiled and kissed Ruby's forehead. "I love you, Ava," Ruby whispered.

Ava smiled and kissed Ruby's lips. "I love you too, Ru," Ava replied.

As they held each other, the world outside melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their own little world of love.

When Ruby woke up in the morning, she saw that Ava was still lying beside her, fast asleep. Ruby leaned in and kissed Ava's cheek, asking, "Don't you have to go back? Someone might get suspicious."

Ava opened her eyes, smiled, and replied, "I want to spend a little more time with you."

Ruby smiled back and teased, "You spent the whole night with me, was that necessary?"

Ava sat up, looked at Ruby with a mischievous grin, and said, "Now I want to spend the whole day with you." Ava pulled Ruby close and lay down on top of her, placing her hand on Ruby's head.

Ruby asked Ava, "So, what are you planning to do now?"

Ava whispered, "Well... I want to make love to you some more." Ava kissed Ruby's lips, and Ruby kissed her back. The two of them started kissing again, lost in their own little world of love.

Just then, Nikolas arrived at the palace, calling out to Ruby. Ruby was startled by Nikolas's voice and quickly told Ava to hide. Ava also became tense and quickly hid behind the door.

Nikolas approached Ruby's room and asked her, "Where are all the servants and bodyguards?" Ruby explained that they had all quit their jobs, frightened by Suresh's death. Nikolas said, "Okay, no problem. We'll hire new servants."

Then, noticing Ruby's disheveled appearance, Nikolas asked, "Why are you looking like this?" Ruby replied, "Grandpa, I was just about to take a bath. I didn't know you'd arrive so soon."

Nikolas seemed suspicious of Ruby's behavior, but he didn't say anything. Ruby asked Nikolas, "Grandpa, was your puja (prayer ceremony) successful?" Nikolas replied, "Yes, everything went well. Now you go and take your bath. I'll also go and rest for a while."

Ruby nodded and replied, "Okay."

After Nikolas left, Ruby locked the door and let out a sigh of relief. Ava again pulled Ruby towards her and took her to the bed.
