Chapter 355: Quest Loading...
Things were happening to Seth that he couldn't feel due to the situation he was in now. But now, in his strange squatting position, he felt it.
It was like his body was drenched in fine dust. The dust was also moving around there, floating upward.
The feeling should have been irritating before it became the norm.
[Health: Neck Injury Recovered]
By now, the red mist had vanished, and Seth's body was shown within. The blade user stood and observed, panting.
He gazed at his broken blade, his thoughts unknown and yet, despite that, their prey was still alive.
He should have been dead by now but his resilience was just off the chart.
Suddenly, Seth stood from his position. His hair somewhat changes but the blade user can't put his finger on it.
But what was strange was that Seth just undo his Shifting Armour as if the gunner was waiting, he pulled the trigger.
Bang!
Bang!
Each bullet was intercepted by the staff, which also extended fast toward the attacker, which made the man jump away.
"All this chance wasted!" A voice came from Seth but his mouth didn't move at all.
The man wore partial silver armour that gave a great deal of movement freedom. However, despite standing a few meters away Seth still can't see the man's face.
He was using some kind of skill or artefact that concealed his features. The man also didn't look afraid, he was just gazing at an insurmountable mountain.
But he didn't attack, and Seth too, didn't; suddenly, he moved, and Seth's attire shifted very fast and covered Seth.
Like flare, the blade user vanished and appeared outside the cave leaving behind a scroll that unfolded fast and the inside glowed white
Seth was only able to see the scroll before the flash appeared, but he immediately began to be pulled toward it.
The staff returned at that moment.
As his armoured body touched the glowing white scroll pulling him, he felt a crushing feeling that would shatter the armour and also his body in one go.
He was resisting, or to be specific, the force from his body placed a delay, but the light bomb was growing stronger.
Before it was strong, Seth pushed the staff into the centre of the light and made the staff extend, pushing Seth back and pinning him to the wall.
This way he stayed away from it despite the pull.
Small pebbles and dust swirled around the light bomb and disintegrated into fine particles.
Seth could feel the staff resisting an increasingly powerful force around its body that was anchored inside the light bomb.
The silver armoured blade user didn't take a deep breath when the whole cave collapsed, and from within, a rumbling explosion occurred.
The earth quaked and then everything settled down. Continue your adventure with empire
A man with a long rifle beside him stood and said, "Is he dead!" His voice, too, was hoarse.
"There is no notification!" The blade user said in a similar voice and grave expression.
"He is tough to damn kill!"
"And this is him weakened!" The silver armoured man said.
They have rehearsed, trained and studied well for this hunt. They all paid well for the right to make a move without repercussions from the leader of players and yet, the damn man is still alive.
"If he is injured…!" The blade user didn't finish when the nighing of the horse was heard.
Then two brown horses burst out from the rubbles and behind them were other horses but translucent in view.
They didn't move far when a four-wheel carriage burst out, too. Its design was amazing and eye-catching.
But they didn't get distracted by it, their gaze fixed on the rubble they came from.
A thick large pillar sprang up, pushing larger rubbles from the place. A man walked out from there, his armour azure and his cape red as it flapped under the moon.
He stood regal, gazing at them from within the helmet of his armour. The pillar behind him tilted toward him as if going to crush him, but he used his shoulder and supported its weight.
Now, he held the 5-meter tall, 50-centimetres thick pillar on his shoulder like it was nothing.
He looked like a giant compressed in the body of a man.
They felt apprehensive, their mind telling them this was just intimidation at work but they were having cold feet.
They believe that they can still drain the man and achieve player kill but they were having massive doubts.
This was a man not moving, but they failed to kill; what about now?
That damn staff he carried, it was his strength, his true power. It always moves and it's Indestructible.
Suddenly, he moved fast and appeared before them, but they were ready.
Another scroll has already been activated, and a silver light covers them, and they shoot into the sky.
The large pillar passed through their afterimage and slammed into the ground. Crack snaked around due to its force.
He had used the N'day Step skill without the Illusory Shift. He was quite fast but not as fast as before.
His gaze turned and swept around. He saw no one and heard no one. His lack of Aura Eyes and Preeminence Gaze also help in that regard.
Seth's steps were firmed as he walked toward the cart waiting for him. The staff reduced to normal size and walked inside the cart from the back.
The horses neighed before they galloped forward, and the cart jerked forward being pulled.
In the safe confinement of the cart, Seth pulled out the notification to see what that title was all about.
But he met with something else.
[Quest Loading…]
This was the first time a quest showed loading to him and his instincts and intuition flared negatively.
'Certainly, some of the players are hunting me, or something big is going to happen!'
He was about to check the other notification when he felt his right-hand heating up. He checked and saw the hourglass glowing and the stream of the tattoo moving at high speed.
This confused him more.
He also noticed the Umbrella Reach flaring out but being suppressed by the seal.
The seal is certainly a hindrance to him but he had not forgotten about his providence which was Luck.
Certainly, if he tried to view thing in positive angle he might the his situation differently than now.
The pain and sting in his heart will still be their though.
Seth pushed all those aside as he pulled the notification about the new title and Rayna.
