Seth didn't plan on turtling inside the cart anymore.

Despite his sombre heart, he felt uncontrollable excitement with the new defence instrument of the cart.

The moment he saw the gigantesque creature was slowed down and sent away by the beam from his cart's strongest attack he knew he needed to be out.

He will need his blade to do the damage or even possibly kill it.

The gigantesque fell and rolled on the ground, and as it stood, Seth had come out and stood above the Gawee Cart; he glanced at the marking atop that summoned the object and also touched the object.

"Death Knell!" Seth muttered with satisfaction and excitement.

This excitement was not normal.

Seth was truly clear-minded, unlike before when he fought that dangerous creature. That means it wasn't someone's injury that caused him a warped mind or messed with his emotions.

Even the failed attack of Gawee Beast haxes on him only tickled him. Even that Cat with two mouths failed to truly reach his mind.

This excitement came from Battle Might he has. Even though it was sealed within him, the effect was still functioning, albeit not completely.

Seth was holding his staff firmly and his gaze fixed on the creature before. He had never seen them this close before.

Menos!

They always command absolute brute strength and they have no predators. Most of the time it was easier to hunt and kill Medos than to face these walking absolute disasters.

Even in the Garden Of Eden, there were a lot of Medos hunters, but there were few Menos Hunters.

Heck, no single faction will wake up and just decide to hunt menos.

Apart from their hard-to-kill nature and their ridiculous strengths, they were mostly mindless; they also did not actively hunt other creatures.

However, some medos were able to make them listen to them.

The moment the menos stood, there was only a two-second delay before it ran forward attacking. Its speed was fast, even Seth only saw a blur.

But that two seconds was more than enough for Seth to look around and then point his staff at the menos with incredible concentration and shout!

"FIRE!"

By the time he finished, the menos was above him, and the staff yanked away from him, but the beam of white from the Death Knell hadn't struck the gigantesque creature.

However, on the other side of the Death Knell, a glow appeared and shot out a powerful beam in another direction.

Seth was commanding it toward the men, but it was attacking somewhere; that was the plan.

The beam of white reached the large white cat with two mouths almost in an instant.

Boom!

The location exploded and expanded for about 2 meters and every beast around it that wasn't a strength base was torn apart.

While that happened, the menos attack was just too fast for Seth to observe properly, as it appeared above him coming down with a fist that was three times his size.

The menos aura was enough to have crushed Seth if he wasn't protected by layers of defences.

The staff, Seth's true power and true ally was faster; it embedded on the ground from the other side and sprang up.

The ground was an anchor, and the staff elevated in a tilted way that met the menos punch.

Boom!

The ground below the staff shattered, and it was pushed down, but its expansions increased to push away the menos attack from closing on Seth.

It worked as the momentum of the creature was consumed and now it wasn't just pushing the staff but the ground too.

The staff expanded violently to 100 meters which pushed the giant to stagger back for a moment.

That moment was what Seth needed, though, his face covered with sweat and a strained smile. Fear of becoming meat paste was glowing in his eyes due to this move he took.

"Move!"

He didn't relish the wash of relief when he jumped up. His jumps took him high while two horses appeared and began to pull the cart away.

By then the menos had regained his footing and were already attacking. But Seth reached beyond his reach, and he ended up punching the cart.

The cart staggered back, tilted and was about to fall; it was the small lantern bells that attacked the ground and used the force to bring it back.

By then the menos had jumped toward Seth.

That was when the staff expanded from the ground fast and reached Seth before pushing him up to the sky.

Higher than the menos current jumped reach.

The menos went to punch the giant staff, but the staff became small and flashed to Seth's side, which was now 300 meters above ground, and he wasn't falling fast.

All this happened so fast that even to Seth, it was strange, but he remembered a notification he understood.

Despite that, Seth had retained a clear head, coordinated his movements, and came out on top.

So why would he leave the safety of the cart and face this creature?

There was one easy answer, to kill it.

In all his sudden thoughts and plan with what he had in this situation he realised he needed to face the powerful creature to stand a chance upon what he wanted to do.

You don't win a war by hiding behind a shield all day long. Not to mention, this creature wasn't the only enemy.

The menos ran and jumped to Seth altitude with ease but Seth held his staff for three seconds now and it had recovered a bit.

It expanded and became heavy and met the brute, Seth used that opportunity to push himself away from the creature using the staff.

He can't stay up in the air all day long, his Defying Gravity can now only slow his fall and not make him float indefinitely.

Besides, no matter how much he makes the staff heavy and hard and attacks the massive creature he won't even pass its passive defensive aura around its body.

This function already existed but it wasn't as active as it was now. Before, it was the whole cart that had its force, but the pillars now store energy and actively protect the cart.

It was a defensive mechanism that had many facets to it.

Based on the description, the lantern will shoot things that move toward it, which it deems dangerous.

That was why after a single attack and the danger didn't move to attack again, it would not attack.

Seth may need to adjust the settings, maybe!
