-Twilight-

"I can't believe it's working."

Twilight muttered as he stared at the glass container in front of him.

Taking his flesh, genetic information, and blood, then using magic to accelerate the process of creating a mass of flesh.

If a God had created a human from the dust of the land, he—Twilight—was creating a human from his own flesh.

Shaping said blob and mass of flesh into a more defined entity with features like himself.

This was done in a dark space with dim lighting. A laboratory—if it could be called one—on the Cardinal World.

It was upon requesting permission from Veldanava, as Twilight didn't see it fit for such experiments to be carried out on the Heavenly Star Palace.

His goal, rather, Veldanava's goal, was to create a sentient being that could reproduce and live for a long time.

Not only that, but one that can also interact with him—Veldanava—freely.

Veldanava had come close to that goal upon bringing Twilight to life.

However, Twilight himself wasn't exactly the type of species Veldanava had envisioned.

Not an immortal or unchanging race without reproductive capabilities.

As an androgynous person, Twilight possessed no reproductive capabilities.

Twilight had the status of a divine being and was one in a true, literal sense.

Veldanava himself knew he couldn't have his hand in the creation of humans.

If he tried so, the world would classify his handiwork as divine, and such that they would appear exactly like Twilight himself:

Divine and Asexual.

They would be like Twilight, incapable of reproduction.

Such beings, no matter how perfect, couldn't populate the world.

Hence. He dumped everything on Twilight.

Since the world itself decided to pick on him for one reason or the other.

Why not delegate the job to another person after equipping them with the power to do so?

Time wasn't a problem, as they were immortal and unaging, so Veldanava was patient and willing to wait for as long as it takes.

But for Twilight himself, on the other hand, he had been in multiple dilemmas.

While he did want to help the creator, his abilities, more so, weren't suited for such things.

Using the chance he had, he had acquired knowledge from the Star King concerning magic.

Only then did he realise magic wasn't omnipotent.

Veldanava WAS the Omnipotent one.

However, he had once felt as if the world had crashed on him after hearing Veldanava had relinquished his omnipotence and omniscience.

Such an act was as dumbfounding as hearing that a newborn baby can speak.

In the end, though, after learning all he could learn, he had left the Heavenly Star Palace to descend on the Cardinal World.

It was here he got a glimpse of the nature of this world.

Magical Beast, in every sense of the word, spawned almost every day.

Probably due to the high amounts of magicules.

Them aside, there were also the tall, strong, violent, and fearsome True Giants.

But that wasn't all. There were also faeries and other beautiful creatures that can only be said to have been taken from fairy tales.

…The place Veldanava had secured for him—with the help of the Spirit Queen—upon Twilight's request was called Eden.

It was an almost isolated dimension in the Cardinal World.

Filled with plantations and vegetation, as well as beasts of various kinds with streams of water running along a path.

In other words. Twilight had begun to enact God's will according to a certain religion.

That aside, back into the lab

The mass of flesh was inside a glass tube filled with water to support the acceleration formation of the flesh.

Biological Engineering.

He had tried. Originally upon getting to the Cardinal World he had attempted to create man from clay.

But of course he had known it wouldn't work, he still wanted to try. In the end, it led to a disappointing result like so.

That aside, it seemed like there was a limit to the gift Veldanava had given him.

Hence, he opted for another way.

Using little fragments, around certain percentage of his soul, mixed with his genetic information mixed with flesh.

Then, to grow under a substance with the help of spirit magic that would allow for the acceleration of the growth like a fetus does, it was feasible.

As such, Twilight had been working and documenting his works.

"But to think it would advance to such an extent…."

Even Twilight wasn't expecting this result.

[Experiment Title]: Project Artificial Non-Divine Autonomous Material-lifeform. ADAM.

[Date]: Cardinal Year ###

[Objective]: To create a sentient lifeform using fragments of a point-one percent soul, genetic material, and flesh.

[Materials and Equipment]:

- Fragments of soul (0.1 - 1%).

- Genetic material (extracted from cells).

- Flesh sample (cultivated from body).

- Spirit-infused water.

- Glass containment tube.

- Magic catalysts for growth acceleration.

[Observations and Results]:

○ Experiment 1:

— Observation: Cellular structure failed after 8 hours due to tissue degradation.

— Result: Failure attributed to insufficient soul fragment stability.

— Adjustment: Reinforced the stability of the soul fragment in subsequent trials.

○ Experiment 2:

— Observation: Cellular division was minimal, resulting in no growth.

— Result: Failure caused by inadequate activation of growth acceleration catalysts.

— Adjustment: Increased the intensity of magical stimuli.

○ Experiment 3:

— Observation: Rapid cellular division led to unstable growth and tissue collapse.

— Result: Failure due to excessive magical input.

— Adjustment: Regulated the intensity of growth acceleration magic.

○ Experiment 4:

— Observation: Cellular division was too slow, leading to developmental stagnation.

— Result: Failure caused by insufficient catalyst concentration.

— Adjustment: Increased the concentration of spirit-infused water.

○ Experiment 5:

— Observation: No visible response or activity in the mixture.

— Result: Failure linked to an improperly integrated soul fragment?

— Adjustment: Proper alignment of soul fragment and genetic material.

○ Experiment 6:

— Observation: Development progressed but terminated prematurely due to structural instability.

— Result: Partial success with notable improvement, but incomplete growth.

— Adjustment: Reinforced cellular cohesion and optimized the nutrient composition.

○ Experiment 7:

— Observation: Cellular division was stable, and humanoid features formed within 73 hours. Growth progressed steadily, achieving a viable structure.

— Result: Success. The subject has shown stable development with potential for sentience.

[Next Steps]:

1. Observe the subject's developmental progress for an extended period.

2. Focus on enhancing consciousness integration through refined soul alignment.

3. Document behavioral patterns as the subject matures.

Naturally, this experiment had been frustrating to say the least.

At the very least, thanks to [All of Creation], he was able to understand some weird things like cell cultivation, tissue failure, and the likes.

Yes. It was mostly thanks to [All of Creation] he was able to easily identify most problems.

Next, thanks to [Thought Acceleration], he was able to easily come up with solutions.

"I must say. Spirits are useful, aren't they?"

Twilight had thought so, glancing at the tube. The flesh had already formed a foetus.

Things were oddly going better than he expected.

He had originally thought that because it was the lack of the soul fragment he had cultivated from himself.

Having to cultivate from his soul wasn't something he particularly liked, but bear with it for the meantime.

"At the very least, if Adam and Eve can be born, I can go ahead with that plan."

Twilight thought as he went back to the desk in the lab, tapping at a document on the table.

[Spirit Incarnation Project]

"Heh."

Unknowingly, a small smile crossed the Divine Ancestor's lips as fangs peered out from it.

He heard directly from the Creator that he had incarnated the Great Holy Spirit of Light into Primordial Angels.

It was noted that this plan was feasible and had a higher chance of success.

Although, this would depend whether the Spirit Queen, Administrator of Stars, Ramiris and the other Spirits would accept.

"Should she disagree means more headache for me."
