Chapter 1: Ch.1 A Beginning to an End
Stirring from my sleep, I wake up to a dark room, remembering what had just happened a few minutes ago.
God decided to reincarnate me into the world of My Hero Academia.
He granted me my own system, allowing me to wield abilities from different universes and create items from those worlds. He also explained how refreshes work.
If I learn how to use them properly, I can unlock incredible potential. To aid me, I even have a library in my mind that helps me remember everything—and more…
Man, God wasn't lying when he said I'd be reincarnated as a toddler.
Looking at my hands, I confirm that they're small and chubby, just like a child's.
At least I have the memories of the previous owner of this body. Thinking about my status, I decide to check it.

(Sealed Until Start of Canon)
As I finish checking my status, I notice a light turning on in the hallway through the open door.
The figure in the doorway is unmistakably female, with long hair. I recognize her immediately.
It's Inko—my new mother. Someone I will protect and make proud.
I feel happy, not just because I'm in one of my favorite anime worlds but because I now have a mother. In my past life, I was an orphan.
Drowsiness begins to overtake me, and I let my face sink into the blanket, drifting back to sleep.
Waking up the next day, I climb out of bed and instinctively head toward the bathroom. I step onto a small stool to reach the sink.
Spotting a toothbrush in a ceramic cup, I grab it along with the toothpaste beside it and begin brushing my teeth.
Hearing footsteps behind me, I turn to see Inko standing there.
"So, you must've been really sleepy to be mistaking my toothbrush for yours, huh?" she chuckles.
"Sorry."
She laughs softly. "It's fine, Izumi. Just remember to rinse it."
Relieved that I didn't get scolded, I suddenly remember something—most kids get their quirks at the age of four or go to the quirk doctor to check if they have one.
"Mom, aren't we supposed to go to the quirk doctor today?"
"Oh! Thanks for reminding me, Izumi." She checks the time. "Yes, the appointment is in an hour. Start getting ready, and I'll start making breakfast."
"Okay!" I respond, running to the kitchen to wait for breakfast after getting dressed.
Thirty minutes later, I finish eating, and now we're in the car, heading toward the doctor's office.
We arrive five minutes early and sit in the waiting area until we're called in.
Once inside, the doctor runs some tests on me.
Waiting for the results, I feel hopeful. Maybe my Infinite Archive will show up, and I won't have to worry about being bullied.
"Okay, Ms. Midoriya, here are the results," the doctor says, looking at my mother.
"Unfortunately, your daughter is quirkless."
Tears begin forming in Inko's eyes, and she starts apologizing to me.
When we get home, I reassure her, "Mom, don't worry. It's okay."
She wipes her tears and hugs me. "Oh, sweetie, you really are my little fountain of joy."
The doctor's appointment took three hours due to all the tests. By the time we return home, it's already 11:30 AM.
I start preparing for school tomorrow, fully aware that being labeled as quirkless will likely lead to bullying.
With my system and quirk sealed until the start of canon, I have little hope of defending myself.
I need to become stronger.
I refuse to be weak like Izuku was in the original story.
I refuse to die at fifteen again.
The Next Day
I wake up, roll out of bed, and head to the bathroom to start my day.
With thirty minutes left before school starts, I begin training—nothing extreme, just basic body-weight exercises.
By the time I finish, I'm sweating lightly. I take a quick shower, knowing I only have ten minutes left to eat.
Reaching the kitchen, Mom serves me omu-rice with ketchup.
Once I finish eating, we head to the car.
"Bye, Mom," I say, stepping out in front of the school.
Walking into the classroom, I quietly move to the corner, trying to avoid drawing attention to myself.
The school day proceeds normally until break when we all go outside to play.
"Deku, what quirk did you get? I bet it's something useless—just like you."
I sigh. Here we go.
"Kacchan, I… didn't get a quirk," I admit, bracing myself for his reaction.
"What? Not only are you useless, but you're also quirkless?!" he sneers.
Turning on his heel, he stomps away, clearly annoyed.
When the school day finally ends, I walk toward the gate where Mom is waiting for me. Without thinking, I reach out and hug her.
"Sweetie, what happened? Are you okay?" she asks with concern.
"Nothing, Mom… It's just that Kacchan wasn't happy to hear that I'm quirkless."
She hugs me tighter. "Don't worry about what others think, Izumi. You'll always be special to me."
10 Years Later
Today is the day.
The day my system and quirk finally unseal.
The day the sludge villain attacks.
Checking my status, I see the long-awaited change.

As I sit in class, waiting for the teacher, I clench my fists in anticipation.
"Alright class, you're all third years now, and it's time to start thinking about your future. I was going to hand out papers for your future plans, but—"
"You're all pretty much planning to go into the Hero Course, right?" Everyone in the room was using their quirks, seemingly eager about their future paths.
"Teach, don't lump me in with these extras! I'm going to U.A.," Bakugo interrupted, confidently asserting his future.
"Oh, Bakugo, you want to go to U.A., right? If I'm not mistaken, Midoriya, you want to go there too, correct?"
"Yes."
"Deku, you bastard! You want to be better than me, don't you?"
"No, Kacchan, I just want to help people with a smile on my face."
After class, while packing my stuff...
"Deku, you better explain why you think you can go to U.A.," Bakugo demanded.
"Kacchan, even though I didn't have a quirk, I'll still become a hero who saves people, just like All Might."
"What do you mean 'had,' Deku?"
"Um... nothing, Katsuki. I'm going now, bye."
"Huh... something's definitely up with Deku. This is the first time she's ever used my first name."
As I walked home, I remembered what I had seen on Kacchan's status.

I was still walking home, deep in thought about the status system. As I walked, a loud noise suddenly broke my focus.
I turned around to see a sludge-like monster charging toward me. I barely dodged its first lunge. But the villain wasn't done—it attacked again, and I stumbled while trying to avoid it.
The villain was fast, and before I knew it, I had been caught. Struggling for a while, I started to feel light-headed. My vision began to blur, and then, I noticed a flash of yellow hair.
All of a sudden, I heard the familiar voice of All Might shout, "Detroit Smash!" The impact of his punch sent the sludge villain flying, splattering everywhere.
I woke up, feeling light slaps on my face. Blinking, I looked up and saw a hulking figure with yellow hair. It took me a moment to recognize who it was.
"All Might! O-M-G! Please sign my notebook!" I opened it excitedly, and to my surprise, I saw that it was already signed.
"Um... All Might, can I ask you something?"
"Sorry, little miss, I have things to do."
As All Might prepared to jump, I grabbed his leg. We blasted off into the sky, with him looking startled.
"Hey, kid! Let go!" he shouted.
"But if I let go now, I'll die!" I protested.
"Oh... you're right," he said, calming down.
We landed on a nearby building, and All Might scolded me, "Kid, that was reckless. You could've gotten hurt."
"Well, anyway, what did you want to ask?" he said.
"I wanted to ask—can I still become a hero even though my quirk only just appeared today?"
*Cough*. I turned to see a skeletal-looking man.
"Man, I knew he was skinny, but seeing him like this in real life is different than how he looks on the show."
"O-M-G, what happened to you, All Might?"
"Calm down. I'm still All Might. It's just that five years ago, I got a serious injury in a battle," he explained.
"What? You still know this is me?"
"Yeah, my quirk lets me see that."
"What's your quirk, little miss?" he asked.
I took a breath and responded, "Well, my quirk is kind of weird.
It's like a game panel that lets me see people's information. I also have a library in my mind that helps me do other things."
I continued to explain, and All Might sat down to listen.
"Well, if your quirk is like that, then of course you can become a hero," he said.
Suddenly, an explosion went off in the distance, and All Might sprang into action. "Well, little miss, I still have a duty to get this villain to the police."
I checked my own status and saw that it had changed after the encounter.

As I made my way to the scene of the incident, I was struck by how everything seemed to blur together.
I'd forgotten some parts of what happened in the show, probably because of the years that have gone by.
I pushed through the crowd, my eyes scanning for Kacchan.
And there he was—trapped in the sludge villain's grip.
The heroes were talking about how they didn't have the proper quirks to deal with the situation, but I couldn't focus on that.
All I could think about was Kacchan, and my heart started to race as I saw the desperation in his eyes.
His eyes locked onto mine, and I saw it—he was crying for help.
Without thinking, I rushed toward him, adrenaline surging through me.
I glanced at my status and quickly put 3 of my free points into Strength and the rest into Agility.
I felt a surge of power and speed as my stats changed, and my body felt lighter, faster.
I threw my backpack at the sludge villain's eyes to disorient him, and in that moment, I grabbed Kacchan's arm.
I yanked him as hard as I could, managing to free his face enough so he could breathe.
"Deku, get out of here! You're just gonna get in my way!" Kacchan shouted, but there was something different in his voice.
I could see that he was concerned about me.
"I'm sorry, Kacchan, but my legs just moved on their own," I said, trying to explain, but I was still in a panic.
Suddenly, a powerful blast of wind hit us, and the sludge villain was blown away. The weather around us changed as the gusts intensified.
"Detroit Smash!" All Might shouted, landing near us and scattering the sludge all over the place.
I was stunned for a moment, feeling both relief and awe. I looked over at Kacchan, who was now breathing freely. He glared at me.
"Deku, what the hell? I told you to stay out of it!" Kacchan snapped, but I could see the concern in his eyes.
I could hardly believe it. All Might had just saved us both. But before I could even thank him, I was scolded for being reckless.
I made my way home, my mind racing. What had just happened? Was I really ready to be a hero?
As I walked, I heard footsteps behind me, and I turned to see Kacchan.
"Deku, I didn't need your help back there," he spoke.
I was confused. "Kacchan, I'm sorry... when I saw the look in your eyes, I... I couldn't just stand there. Something in my heart hurt, and I had to act."
Kacchan stopped in his tracks and let out a long sigh. "Deku... don't talk like I was gonna die.
I was perfectly capable of handling it myself... but... thanks, he muttered under his breath blushing and turning away."
Did Kacchan just say thank you? My mind was spinning, but before I could process it, he turned and walked away.
I just stood there for a moment, staring after him in disbelief.
Suddenly, a voice rang out, and I looked up to see All Might descending from the sky, landing with a loud thud.
"I am here!" All Might proclaimed, though he immediately began coughing.
"All Might, are you okay?" I rushed over to him, concerned.
"I'm fine, just tired from overusing my power," he said with a grin, but his face looked strained.
I couldn't help but ask, "Why are you here?", in reality knowing this scene by heart
All Might smiled, a proud look in his eyes. "I'm here to tell you that what you did back there was incredibly brave.
You inspired me to push beyond my own limits, and I want you to know you have the makings of a hero."
My heart swelled at his words.
He continued, "Do you know what all great heroes have in common? They all say that their legs moved on their own when they rushed into action."
I beamed with excitement. "I'm really glad to hear that from you, All Might."
All Might's expression softened, and he looked serious now.
"Young miss, I've always kept my quirk hidden, redirecting questions about it, but today, I'm telling you the truth."
I blinked, pretending to be unsure of what he meant.
"My quirk," he said, his voice heavy with meaning, "is called -ONE FOR ALL-.
It's the ability to stockpile strength and pass it down to the next generation."
"Like a flame that gets stronger as it burns," he added, and I gasped, feigning ignorance.
"And I want to ask," All Might continued, "will you be my successor? Will you inherit my quirk?"
I couldn't contain my excitement. I leapt into the air, nearly shouting, "Yes! All Might, I accept!"
He chuckled and then asked, "Oh, by the way, what's your name?"
"It's Izumi Midoriya," I said, still buzzing with energy.
"Well, young Midoriya," he began, "I wanted to ask you something else. What do you see when you look at me with your quirk?"
I tilted my head, surprised by the question. "Oh... it would be better if I wrote it down and showed you."
I quickly checked his status and wrote it down to show him:

"Thanks for showing me this, young Midoriya," All Might said, clearly impressed.
"Tomorrow, I want you to meet me at Dagobah Beach. We'll start getting your body ready to inherit One for All."
I nodded eagerly, excitement running through my veins. "I'll be there, All Might."
After saying goodbye, I headed home, eager to begin my training tomorrow. When I walked into the apartment, my mom greeted me with a warm smile.
"Welcome home, sweetie. Dinner's almost ready."
I changed out of my school uniform, then checked my status to see if anything had changed after the encounter with Kacchan and the sludge villain.

I was happy to see the changes, but I knew there was still more work ahead of me.
After I finished looking over my status, I realized this was a perfect opportunity to train better.
I had always been curious about the refresh function and what it could do to help me improve faster.
I focused on using my refresh to maximize my training potential.
Immediately, all my stats seemed to shift; each one had a plus and minus sign next to them.
I felt a strange sensation, as if my body and mind were adjusting to this new way of thinking.
A detailed explanation of the stats appeared in front of me, breaking down what each one represented.
[Explanation of Stats]
STR (Strength): Determines your physical strength. The higher the value, the more powerful you are in combat or physical tasks.
AGI (Agility): Affects your speed and ability to dodge attacks. The higher the value, the faster and more nimble you are.
VIT (Vitality): Represents your endurance and health. The higher the value, the more stamina and resilience you have.
INT (Intelligence): Governs your ability to think, learn, and understand complex information. The higher the value, the more strategic and efficient you are.
DEX (Dexterity): Affects your fine motor skills, precision, and speed in performing physical actions. The higher the value, the quicker and more accurate you are with physical tasks.
LUK (Luck): Determines how fast you gain experience and points, as well as how quickly your training progresses. Every point in LUK increases your EXP gain by 5% and your training speed by 5% exponentially. For level-up points and free points, each point gives a 1% increase exponentially as well.
After reading the explanations, I noticed that Luck and Dexterity had more importance than I originally thought.
Luck was going to be incredibly useful for speeding up my training, and Dexterity was going to help me improve my physical skills much faster.
I quickly decided to make some changes.
I lowered my physical stats—Strength, Agility, and Vitality—all down to 5 so that I could get them back quickly.
Then, I reduced my Intelligence to 20, giving me more points to redistribute.
With the extra points, I dumped 42 points into Luck to increase my experience gain and training speed, and 17 points into Dexterity to improve my motor skills and precision.
Now that I had redistributed my stats, I could already feel a difference.
My body felt lighter, and I had a better sense of control.
I was excited about the improvements I was about to make.
I looked over my new stats and smiled.

With my new stat distribution, I was ready to get back to training. But first, it was time to eat.
After enjoying my mom's home-cooked dinner, I felt the exhaustion from the day's events begin to settle in.
I still had so much to process, but the excitement of meeting All Might tomorrow kept me going.
I was going to train, and I was going to be a hero. I just needed to work hard, get stronger, and push past my limits.
I lay down in bed, closing my eyes, feeling my body and mind relax after such an eventful day.
The weight of tomorrow's training session with All Might hung over me, and I couldn't help but feel a spark of hope.
Tomorrow, everything would change.
