The Absolute Godspeed of Infinite Worlds

Chapter 254: [254] One Hundred Times Means One Hundred Times

After everything was settled, Eiji and Aoko left the office one after another.

Scáthach watched their retreating figures, her gaze growing increasingly profound.

She had explained many things to them—but there was one matter she kept silent about.

The Ultimate One (UO) is an existence that transcends time itself.

If he truly emerges in the future, then traces of his existence must already be present in this world, possibly even extending into the past.

All signs indicated that the Earth's UO had indeed come into being.

As proof, before Goetia even created this Singularity, someone had already intervened, altering its very "settings."

This meant that the one who would become the UO had crossed time itself to tamper with this Singularity.

This was the shared conclusion among Scáthach, Goetia, Merlin, and others.

The only question was—who would it be?

Goetia? One of the Beasts? The True Ancestor Princess? A Magician? Or perhaps a Grand Servant?

"Just who could it be...?"

Thud!

The office door closed shut.

Scáthach's crimson eyes narrowed slightly as she watched the two figures disappear behind it.

It had been so long since she last felt this exhilarated.

Don't disappoint me.

"To think something of this scale is happening... I'll have to step up my game!"

Once outside, Aoko, for some reason, was brimming with fighting spirit.

She cheerfully bid Eiji farewell, parting ways at the faculty building's entrance.

Eiji wandered aimlessly around the school for a while before eventually leaving, lost in thought.

"Come to think of it... why is this school even called Type-Moon Academy?"

His gaze drifted to the gilded sign at the school's entrance, and he suddenly froze.

The weight behind the words "Type-Moon" was anything but ordinary. How would Goetia know that name?

...Unless it wasn't Goetia's doing?

And more importantly—why was this town named Kinoko?

Whoever came up with this has a sick sense of humour!

Didn't they know scaring people could literally kill them?!

***

At the southern edge of Kinoko town, bordering the forest, stood an abandoned factory.

"Ah, Mr. Eiji! You've come!"

The moment Eiji approached the factory's entrance, a golden-haired boy emerged as if sensing his presence.

He stared at Eiji with undisguised admiration, his clingy enthusiasm reminiscent of an overexcited puppy.

"Are you here to see me? How about making a contract? I could move into your house and protect you day and night!"

The boy—Beo—confidently volunteered himself.

Despite being utterly crushed in battle just last night, he had already bounced back, now fully transitioned into Eiji's devoted fanboy (with signs of evolving into a full-blown lackey).

For the record, Eiji had never used Charm on him.

He never used Charm on men—that'd just be weird!

"I'm here for Touko."

"Wha—? I'm way more important than Touko, right?"

Beo grumbled jealously before leading Eiji inside, shouting ahead:

"Touko! Mr. Eiji's here!"

From deep within the factory came a cacophony of clatters and thuds—sounding less like a workshop and more like a brawl.

"What's she doing?"

"No idea."

Beo shrugged innocently.

Baffled, Eiji followed him deeper into the factory, arriving at the room Touko had repurposed as her workshop.

Without bothering to knock, he kicked the door open and strode in with an air of absolute dominance.

That's right—he was just that unapologetic.

The room was dimly lit.

Given its origins as a factory space, it was sprawling but sparsely furnished—just a simple bed, a long table, and uneven flooring.

Touko stood by the table, hands gripping the hem of her dress, her expression oddly flustered, cheeks faintly flushed.

Sniff sniff!

Beo's nose twitched.

"…Weird smell."

"Beo, get out."

"Ehh~?"

"Out."

"…Fine."

With a reluctant pout, Beo left—though not before "helpfully" closing the door behind him.

"So. What were you thinking just now?"

Eiji sat on the bed, eyeing Touko with a dubious look.

"N-Nothing…!"

"Lying to me?"

His eyes narrowed dangerously.

"You!"

Touko's heart lurched.

A surge of panic overtook her, and in her desperation, she blurted out the truth:

"I was thinking about you!"

The fear of being abandoned had seared into her—she couldn't defy him.

That single thought dominated her mind.

"And why were you thinking about me?"

"..."

Touko's face burned crimson as she mumbled something inaudible.

For a 21-year-old woman, voicing such things was mortifying—what kind of humiliation play was this?!

But of course—

Eiji was no stranger to this.

His understanding of human reactions during certain activities was thorough.

After being ensnared by his Charm last night, Touko had fallen completely. His image had seared into her mind, and when he "bottled" her, she hadn't resisted in the slightest.

The moment she was released this morning, she had immediately divulged her hideout's location. And upon returning, the cravings in her heart had only intensified—perfectly normal for a woman her age.

This wasn't just emotional submission—it was total psychological surrender.

If Eiji ordered her to die, she'd do so without hesitation.

"Come here."

At his beckoning, Touko approached—only to be yanked into his arms.

"I said a hundred times, and a hundred times it shall be!"

That's right.

This was why he'd come!

He'd punish her thoroughly—lest anyone think he was easy to provoke, always seeking trouble with him!

Touko obediently lowered her head.

"But for your sake, I've lingered—until this moment."

***

That night.

Eiji returned home leading a golden-furred "dog."

"Big Brother, where'd this dog come from?"

"Found it on the road. We'll keep it."

"Eh? Is it… dangerous?"

"Nah. It's very well-behaved."

Eiji shot a warning glare at the "dog."

"Bark."

"Woof!"

"Paw."

Offers paw.

Okita stared in amazement.

Who just finds a trained dog like this on the street?!

"It understands human speech. Let it guard the yard—order it around as you like."

"Such a smart husky!"

Beo: "…"

Sure, he admired Eiji.

But being brought home and treated like a literal pet dog?

That he hadn't expected.

But if it's for Mr. Eiji… I'll gladly be his dog!

Beo hadn't lost his pride. He knew his own strength—he was invincible in the modern era.

But Eiji?

He was the invincible above invincibility—utterly worthy of commanding him.

Playing the part of a normal dog, Beo joined Okita in a game of fetch, feeling inexplicably honoured.

"Meanwhile, over in Rakudai… it's about time for the climax."

Eiji gazed up at the starry sky, shifting his focus to his other self in Chivalry of a Failed Knight.
