Chapter 188: The End
Hello, you must be wondering why this chapter is called The End when the story is nowhere close to being finished. Well, it's quite simple, I have given up on writing this story to its ending. However, I still want to tell everyone what my plans were for its ending.
I'm just as sad as everyone, but I simply can't bring myself to do it. I forgot a lot of things over the past months, and picking this novel up again would be extremely hard for me. It would require me to read a good part of the novel, which is time that I do not have.
I know I have said I would start the updates of this novel again multiple times, but every time, things happened, and as time has gone on, my motivation took a hit, and after some time, I felt like I would never bring myself to write this story again.
So, with that out of the way, let's begin.
The final parts of the story, as most of you would have guessed, were quite simple. Caedrel would have defeated the Demon King in a legendary battle where Caedrel would win by a very close margin, saving the world from its impending destruction and being the hero everyone wanted him to be.
His secret identity would finally be revealed for everyone to know, and he would finally embrace it to its fullest.
His wife would be Amelia, as Ava was revealed to be a traitor working for the Demons. It would be a devastating reveal, one that Caedrel had a lot of difficulties to stomach.
Now, I will go over some of the main mysteries of the book and reveal what they were.
The biggest mystery was the identity of Caedrel's master.
He was supposed to be a Fallen God who had found refuge on Earth, teaching a few select beings. However, he wasn't just any Fallen God; he was supposed to be the greatest fighter the Heavens had ever seen. That's why everyone is deeply scared of him and whether he will come out of his hiding.
Truth be told, my memories about this book are quite hazy, and the plots I had planned are mostly gone from my mind.
Nevertheless, the storyline was supposed to go like this:
Caedrel kills all the children of the Demon King and then heads in his direction.
A lot of things would have happened between the kingdoms, with some betrayals and similar events. However, it's hard to explain at this point.
Also, in the final battle, Caedrel's master would appear and save his disciple from certain death. He would also sacrifice his life so that Caedrel can finally end the Demon King's life once and for all.
If you guys are wondering about some plots and mysteries that I have not covered in this final chapter, please let me know in the comments, and I will reply as soon as I can.
I know that I'm missing a lot in this chapter, but at least you know how the story would have ended, and in my opinion, that's better than leaving this novel unfinished. Discover exclusive tales on My Virtual Library Empire
I'm sorry that this novel had to end this way, but I know that I will never finish it, as it would require too much time. I would have done it if there had been a chance for me to get back on track and make money again from writing this book. However, since it has been a long time on hiatus, that is not possible.
I'm terribly sorry for not writing the ending of the story like I had wished. But I think that this is better than nothing.
Once again, truly sorry.
Thanks for reading this far, and I hope you will still give the rest of my works a chance.

Here is a preview of the prologue of a story that I will be releasing by the end of February or the start of March.
What would you do if you were reincarnated in your favorite novel?
1. Use your future knowledge to become the strongest in the world.
2. Ensure the plot doesn't diverge so you can predict everything.
3. Steal all the heroines from the main character.
4. Stay as far away from the story as possible to avoid dying.
If you chose the first option, I admire your courage. But me? I'm not suicidal.
The second option? Now that's a smart choice.
If you control the plot, you hold an advantage over every future event. I even considered it at first—until I realized it meant dealing with the main cast. And that? That was a death wish.
The third option? Oh, don't get me wrong; it was tempting.
Legends of Altia had some of the most stunning heroines I'd ever seen—I even remember searching for some of their illustrations online when I was in bed and… well, you know what happened next.
With my future knowledge, I was confident I could steal them all from the protagonist.
But that would mean getting involved with the main cast.
And that was the last thing I wanted.
The plotline of this novel? It was a nightmare.
Every other chapter in the novel, some catastrophic event happened. The main characters almost died at every turn.
And the ending? Everyone from the main cast dies fighting the Demon King. No happy endings, no plot armor.
I'm sorry, but I don't want to die for the "greater good."
It's not like I care about this world.
Hell, I don't even know anyone inside it.
So I made the smartest decision.
I would stay far, far away from anything related to the main plotline of this novel. I was an extra, a nobody, and I intended to keep it that way.
But that plan fell apart the moment I turned eighteen.
In this world, everyone awakens a system at adulthood. Some were common, some rare, some legendary, and a lucky few received unique systems.
Then there was mine.
It was not only unique; it was also of the highest possible rank.
[Life Stealing System]
[Rank: God-Like (Unique)]
[You can steal Life Essence from others to extend your lifespan.]
Overnight, I became the most talked-about person on the continent.
Exactly the opposite of what I wanted.
The very next day, a letter arrived at the orphanage where I stayed.
An invitation.
To Cube Academy—the greatest school in the world.
A place everyone wished to enter.
But not me.
That night, I cried myself to sleep.
That place was hell on Earth. It was where all the main cast would be going.
More than that, this great system of mine? It was actually complete trash.
It literally had a timer telling me when I could die.
[Time remaining before your death: 3 days.]
[Steal Life Essence to extend your lifespan.]
And just like that, in the span of two days, my peaceful, safe life was over.
