Chapter 10: Chapter 10- Purging the Demons (2)
[KIEEE… save me Demon Lord!!]…
[I don't want to die… AHHHH].
Screams rang out all over the training grounds. Needless to say, the skill only affected the Demons and the Demonic Humans, the ones who betrayed humanity and joined hands with the demons. The others only felt rejuvenated by the pillar of light.
[Radiant Ascension] Description: A colossal pillar of light descends from the heavens, cleansing all corruption and banishing the unholy in a massive area. Effect: Instantly purges debuffs and curses from allies. Damages demons and evil with divine power.
The white pillar of light disappeared after a while but the screams of the demons and demonic humans never stopped. Now that the holy light had seeped into their bodies, it was only a matter of time before they disintegrated into ashes.
"Demons!!"
The knights and Paladins from the order of the Temple of Light were shocked. Although most of the demons and demonic humans were from the entourage Marshall Boulevard brought with him, the fact that there were still a few squires and knights mixed among, shocked and distressed them.
It was only a few moments ago they were talking and making merry like brothers in arms who trusted each other. To think that they were actually demons in the guise of humans and betrayers of humanity.
"How could there be so many demons who managed to infiltrate my household?!"
Raymond looked on with wide eyes. It was not only the entourage of the Marquis and squires of the Temple of Light order, but even some of the servants and vessels of the Arcknight family who turned out to be the pawns of the demons.
To think that they were so close to him and he did not even realise…
"Don't think too much about it father, demons are inherently deceptive and full of tricks. Besides, if you weren't so distracted by my condition, you wouldn't have allowed them to get so close to us" Reinhardt consoled.
His eyes turned sharp the next second as he focused on the ashes of those who were from his orders, especially the ones who had climbed to the rank of Knights.
"If I remember correctly they joined the order on the recommendation from Earl Malmod right?".
One of the high ranking Holy Knights nodded his head full of rage "That's right commander. They were the knights from my unit. Although I suspected them, I always thought that they were corrupt. I never thought that they had joined with the demons. Their sins are unpardonable".
"What about the squires?"
"They are our new recruits who were conscripted last year".
"I see, I understand now. Demons have managed to infiltrate our society. We need to be careful from this point"…
"Yes, Commander!!" the knights and paladins of the realm shouted.
"Good you are all adjourned"
The knights and paladins dispersed, the servants of the family went on with their daily activity, dragging the unconscious body of Marquis Boulevard. Reinhardt stood in his place, discussing and conversing with the holy knights of his order.
"Commander, we are truly glad that you are back. With you in the frontlines again, the demons are surely going to regret it"…
"That's right, our commander is back on his feet again. Let's see who dares to look down on our order again… Haha," One of the holy knights with short brown hair laughed.
"Oh, Bob~… you are speaking to his lord informally again" A voice interjected and Anastasia walked over. She linked her arms with the holy knight appearing all lovey dovey.
"Haha, it's alright my love, commander doesn't mind our manner when it's just us"
The holy knight who was referred to as Bob laughed. If one looked at his ring finger, one could see that he wore an engagement ring. He was the husband of Anastasia, the head maid of the family of Arcknight.
"Hey, can you not bring that lovey dovey atmosphere to work".
The other holy knights protested, mainly the bachelors.
"Haha, my wife works here, so I get to enjoy her company even at work. If you find it unacceptable, how about you also get your wives to work as maids here? Oh right, some of you don't even have girlfriends".
Bob's words dealt a fatal damage to the others.
"Oh Bob, stop it. You can't say that to others" Anastasia chided.
Reinhardt observed the coupled with strange eyes, trying to keep a straight face. Bob was one of his most trusted aides and a friend he could trust with his life on the battlefield. He didn't want his friend to get his heart broken.
Anastasia was the same, her attitude towards him right now was that of a lord and his servant. Her eyes underneath those spectacles were stern and she carried herself with that prim and proper headmaid aura of hers.
Even though their bodies were just entwined in a heated love making session just a few moments ago. Reinhardt couldn't even remember how many times he ejaculated into her, there was no way all of his c*m was out of her womb already.
To lock arms with her husband and talk it out with him as if nothing was sliding down her thighs, her acting was truly remarkable.
Just as he was observing Anastasia, their eyes locked and she erotically licked her lips. It was only for a moment, as such nobody noticed the lewd current in the air.
"Hm? What's this creamy stuff on your face darling?"
Bob suddenly noticed a white liquid on his wife's creamy face.
Reinhardt and Anastasia's bodies instantly became tense before the latter quickly came up with an excuse.
"Oh, this?" She brought the liquid with her fingertip and swallowed it "I was preparing milk for His Highness when I accidentally spilt some on my face".
"Is that so? I hope you have been taking good care of the commander. Now that he has been cured, you need to take even more care of him and see that he heals faster"…
"Hmph, you don't have to tell me" Anastasia snorted, folding her hands "I have been taking 'good' care of him and catering to his every~ need. You don't have to remind me of my duty as the head maid".
"Ahaha, sorry… sorry" Bob scratched his hair, ignorant of the double meaning behind the words of his wife.
Anastasia left after speaking a few more words to her husband. With her gone, the paladins returned to discussing the more important stuff.
