Chapter 4: The Revolt

The briefing room was tense as Kim Min Ho stood before the Alchemist Council, he was summoned for an urgent mission.

Their gazes were cold, skeptical—whispers already swirling around his name after the monarch level dungeon where him and Ji woo came out alive and others stronger than him died.

"You'll be assigned to a team," one Council Elder sneered. "C-rank dungeon. Nothing special. You'll act as a porter. Carry supplies, no more."

Min Ho simply nodded. He already sensed their intentions by their look

Beside him stood Park Ji Woo, quiet and nervous. She had been dragged in too, under the guise of "support," though it was clear they didn't value her either.

When they left, one of the council master's spoke:

"Finally, we can get rid of all weaklings in this world one by one", they all laughed hysterically.

Inside the Dungeon

Their team moved fast—three Mage Alchemists, two Shapeshifters, a Transmutation Alchemist, plus Min Ho and Ji Woo.

Min Ho carried the packs, silent, watching everything.

They cleared monsters easily. Soon, they reached the dungeon's treasure chamber—brimming with rare expensive crystals

That's when the betrayal struck.

Without warning, the Mages unleashed a barrage of spells—binding Min Ho and Ji Woo in chains of magic.

"You two think you can freeload here?" one Mage spat, his eyes gleaming with greed. "We'vebeen ordered to kill you here, take the loot, and tell the world you died fighting monsters, isn't that a great idea", laughing hysterically

The Shapeshifters slashed at Min Ho, tearing into his side, one of the mage Alchemist fired a fireball at his chest sending him across the room.

Ji Woo screamed, struggling against her restraints.

Min Ho collapsed, bleeding heavily, his vision blurring, almost breathless.

"They were right to get rid of weaklings like you two, you guys just cost the others their lives all because of your weakness",the Shapeshifting Alchemist spat.

"You will pay for this you will pay",

"Kill the girl first, she shouts alot, then.....the boy" one ordered.

The Transmutation Alchemist stepped forward forging a giant hammer the size of an Elephant's head, he positioned him self about to kill her but before he swayed,

[SYSTEM ALERT: Emergency Protocol Activated: Combat Override – Temporary Boost Granted.

Mission: defend ally and kill all existence]

The Transmutation Alchemist froze, hammer fell first, then hands, then head. He fell blood soaking the floor.

The others were terrified, they looked at ji woo, face showoboth fear and anger. They looked at min ho, he was....gone.

"Where did he go?",one said.

"Over here",min ho spoke face down standing straight but still wounded but still alive.

"Did you really think… I'd die that easily?",he added, his voice low, calm—terrifying.

Before anyone could react, he struck.

He appeared in front of the mage that fired a fireball at him, crushed his skull with his bare hands.

The others attacked while ji woo froze in awe—but it was too late.

Min Ho moved like a demom—dodging, striking, breaking limbs, stabbing vital points with his dagger that appeared from thin air.

Screams echoed through the dungeon as he killed them one by one—ruthless, efficient, unstoppable.

Ji Woo watched in horror and awe, unable to speak.

"No, you cannot kill me, you will be haunted by my entire family of Alchemists",the Shapeshifting Alchemist spoke.

"Well I guess I'll just have to kill them too".

"You bastar....",before he could speak, his head was cutted off by min ho.

It was over, Min Ho stood amidst the corpses, covered in blood but completely calm.

"Useless",he spat.

He turned to her, eyes unreadable.

He broke the spell on her with one strike of his dagger.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Yes....yes I am",she said rising from the ground.

H.....h....how.....how are you stronger than before?", She said.

"Let's just say....I got lucky", he said smirking.

"Plus, why do you always scream when I get attacked?",he asked.

Her eyes widened, she looked away and spoke:

"It's because....you....are the only one who will risk his life for others".

His eyes widened and he spoke:

"Just doing what I have to do, come on, let's go".

As they left, the system popped up

They made it out with the dungeon closing behind them, min ho and Ji woo called a taxi amdade it to their respective houses,

Later that night, min ho after eating dinner went to his room and the system popped up again.

Time Ratio: 1 Hour Outside = 2 weeks Inside.

Warning: Opponents will match or exceed your current abilities.

Without hesitation, he accepted. Adoor appeared thin air and he walked in.

Inside the Realm

The realm was a very beautiful forest filled with beautiful trees, musical birds that sang in rhythm, the sky was blue and the air was very fresh.

Before him appeared a figure—himself, but taller, darker, faster.

[SYSTEM ALERT: "Mirror Clone Activated: Kim Min Ho x2 Strength, Speed, Intelligence."]

The clone attacked instantly.

Min Ho was outmatched, he was stronger than min ho times two—beaten down brutally in the first clash.

"A.....clone?, Now that's what I call a real battle, fighting again yourself but more powerful than you. I like this place already."

Every move he made, the clone countered perfectly.

Relentless Training Begins

Min Ho refused to surrender.

Minutes became hours, hours became, days became weeks inside the realm, he fought the clone, failing over and over—but learning each time.

He began using Transmutation mid-fight, crafting weapons on the fly.

Then something strange happened—he instinctively summoned fire magic. Later, he shifted his body slightly to dodge blows unnaturally.

He remembered his mother's stories of True Alchemists—those who mastered all forms.

"Could it be…" he muttered between blows. "Could i…be the True Alchemist?, That must explain the system.....i guess"

By the end of the training, he finally defeated the clone with a combined Transmutation-Elemental attack—shattering it completely.

Training Rewards

Skill: Shadow Step (Extreme evasion skill)

Reward: Eclipse Dagger (Mana-draining dagger)

Passive: Alchemist's Versatility (Basic mastery of all Alchemy types unlocked)

He left the realm stronger than ever, only hours having passed outside the realm, he took a relaxing sigh and then before he closed his eyes,
