"Your dad is going to kill me if he finds out that I am the one that gave your mother's address to you.

Are you sure that this is a good idea? I mean, are you going to see her after all these years of her absence in your life?

I believe that your father may have a good reason why he refuses for you to go and search for her. Shouldn't you rethink this? My dear? Please?" Charvi, a dominant female alpha, asked her stepdaughter.

Sevina shook her head and did the hand sign, "No, mother."

"Hmm." Charvi sighed. "Okay, fine. But make sure to call me if anything. Okay?"

"Okay, mother. Thank you so much." Sevina did the hand sign to that and hugged the older woman before leaving the house.

Her father and her younger half-siblings were not at home at the moment.

Charvi is a bit worried. She had seen the other alpha woman a few times in her line of work, but she didn't know that much about her except what her beta husband and the media said.

She prayed in her heart that Sevina's mother would receive her well and not add to the pain that she's already inflicted on the small family she left behind.

Sevina checked the address on the phone before pressing the doorbell once again.

Ding-dong! Ding-dong!!

She has managed to finally get her stepmom to give her her mother's address, as her father refused to even talk about her.

Sevina still doesn't know much about what had happened between the two, but for her, she would love to see the woman who gave her life.

So here she is after a journey of three -plus hours, waiting for someone to come and open this huge gate in front of her.

"So you're saying that this woman here, Madam Aiesha, is your mother?"

A beta lady who was dressed up in a suit like an office secretary pointed to the woman in the picture that Sevina had shown to her as her biological mother.

The security at the gates had called the lady for her. It seems she might be working for her mother.

She bobbed her head and replied, "Yes, I did. Is this her house? Is she at home, please?"

There was a little hesitation before the lady responded. "Um... alright. Follow me."

The interior decoration of the place was top-notch. Sevina is really surprised to see that her birth mom lives in such a nice place.

They entered into what looked like a living room.

The lady, Bhumi, turned to her, with one hand pointing to the beautiful furniture.

"You may please have a seat. Madam Aiesha had to leave for an emergency, but I am sure that she will be back soon.

You can call any of the servants for anything that you need by pressing the button on the wall behind you.

Madam likes her privacy, so we only come in here when she calls for us.

Also, Madam is hosting a friend who is currently having his lunch. Just introduce yourself to him if he sees you, but do remember to keep at least a five-meter distance between you two. Okay? I'll have someone bring you some refreshments." Bhumi said and left.

A few minutes later, a servant came in to serve Sevina some refreshments, and she too left afterwards.

Sevina was nibbling on the savoury treats served to her when a mixed scent of mustard and peppermint accosted her nose.

She sniffed the air and realised that the pungent smell was coming from inside the house.

As a curious young adult, Sevina couldn't help but follow the scent.

The further she went, the stronger the scent became.

Forget about her being a wolfless beta, but Sevina Vishwakarma does not emit any pheromones at all, and neither can she scent anyone's.

So she did not realise that the scents arresting her nose now were the pheromones of an alpha, nor did she even notice that her body had also started to react to them.

Her body started to change. She suddenly felt very hot and weird all over her body, yet the temptation to keep going towards the source of the scent filled her mind.

As a 19-year-old beta who has never experienced such strong scents before, it still didn't register to her that she was walking towards an alpha in a rut.

In her trance-like state, Sevina opened the door leading to the hallway inside the house despite the changes happening to her. She was becoming quite weak at this point.

Her face had become very reddish as the scent intensified. Her legs were becoming weaker, and she felt a bit weird down there.

But she was now very close to the scent source, which she believed was coming from behind the door that she was now standing in front of.

She made to raise her fisted hand to knock, but "thud!" she slumped and fell on her ass on the cold, hard floor.

The discomfort made her lie on the floor in a foetal position. She hugged her knees tightly to her chest and started whimpering on the floor.

"Help me." Was what she wanted to say, but she couldn't because she's become weak. Her voice sounded like she was whining and moaning instead, each time she tried to speak.

The cold floor felt quite soothing against her body that was heating up, so she started to take off her clothes in order for her full body to have direct contact with the soothing floor.

Still not aware of her actions or her surroundings.

Alpha Renjith Kumar could tell that the person whose scents were making him lose his senses was getting nearer and nearer.

'Weird. Am I getting a reaction rut? Here? Now? No!!!' He thought to himself as he quickly darted into the closest room nearby and locked the door.

But the alluring scent continued approaching his direction, and now here he is, trying really hard with all his might to stay clear-headed.

"Aiesha, is that you?" He asked from inside the room, but no response came.

Except for the sweet, alluring pheromones that the one behind the door kept blasting him with, making him both horny and quite disoriented.

Unaware of his own actions now, Alpha Renjith found himself opening the door.

The image that met him made him turn his face away immediately.

It was that of a half-naked 'Aiesha' whining and whimpering on the cold floor with low moans escaping her lips occasionally.

It was not her half-naked body that made him turn away, but rather, her inviting, white neck. It invoked some contradictory urges in him.

One moment, he wants to possess and devour his 'childhood friend,' and at the same time, he wants to protect her with every means available.

The Alpha rushed back into the room and brought out a blanket to cover her nakedness before he scooped the slender 'alpha woman' into his firm arms off the floor. All the while avoiding looking at her inviting neck.

Sevina wrapped her arms around her helper's neck and nestled into his embrace, exposing her neck right in his line of vision.

It was extremely difficult for him to keep it in his pants due to their close proximity.

And knowing that she was naked and only in just a bra and panty underneath the blanket, too, didn't help things at all.

But even that urge does not come close to him wanting to suck out all of her blood out of her exposed veins.

The tall Alpha fought every urge to bite this prey as he carried her into the room and locked the door right after while she was still in his arms before taking her to bed.

He was very glad when he finally made it to the bed and was finally able to lay her on it.

'Aiesha' tried to say something, but the Alpha couldn't hear, so he decided to leave the room before things turned for the worse.

He was really struggling to keep his last bit of sanity.

He didn't know what was happening with his friend, and he didn't want to take advantage of her while she was in this state.

He feared that what if he ended up killing his friend like he had done to all his lovers in the past?

However, without warning, 'Aiesha' grabbed him and dragged him onto herself, and before the Alpha knew what was going on, she had connected her soft lips to his firm ones.

And that was when Renjith lost it.

'Fuck with being a gentleman. Now let all hell break loose.'

His obsidian eyes turned completely black, like that of an abyss, as he sunk his protruding teeth into her neck and began sucking her delicious blood.

Sevina stirred in her sleep for a while before she opened her eyes to find herself in a strange man's embrace. She was using his arm as a pillow while the man's other hand was on her waist, cuddling her.

Her face was to his chest so she could feel his every breath. She found herself being lulled to sleep again by the nice scent coming from him and, soon, drifted off to sleep again.

Sevina woke up with a start some two more hours later.

She had thought that everything was a dream, but seeing the man peacefully asleep and yet still cuddling her proved otherwise.

It was a bit dark now; only a few rays of light from the setting sun outside illuminated the room.

She felt sharp pains all over her body, especially her neck which was quite itchy, but there wasn't any wound.

She tried to move out of bed and leave as quietly as possible. It was then that she realised that both of them were completely naked!

She pulled the blanket to cover herself and got off the bed, leaving the man naked and bare.

She then scanned the room for her clothes but only found her bra and panty among the scattered clothes.

Sevina quickly put them on and went outside the door for the ones she had left there after stripping earlier on before the man had carried her inside.

Sevina tried to leave quietly, wishing not to be seen, but just right when she was about to reach the gates, she ran into the lady who had ushered her in earlier.

"Oh, I'm very sorry. I've totally forgotten to come and tell you that Madam wouldn't be returning today. Sorry you had to wait for this long. It's almost dark now. Should I call a taxi for you?" The lady apologised and asked.

Sevina shook her head in the negative and hurriedly left the place.

"Sevina, is everything alright? You don't look too fine." Charvi asked.

But just like she had done when her dad asked the same question, Sevina didn't say anything to her either.

She locked herself in her room and didn't even step out when they called her for supper.

Charvi told her husband and children to leave her be.

Sevina's thoughts muddled with the disbelief of what had just happened.

How come she had allowed things to go that far?

She felt so dirty for leading the man on and letting him do all those things with her. And the worst part was that she doesn't think that she hates any of it.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and not long after, she soon drifted off to sleep.

Not knowing that this incident is about to shake up a thirty-year-old pact.
