The Alpha's Fated Secret

Chapter 12: Secret Spy

Silver Summit Pack.

On a cold evening, a man sat in a private lounge in a bar, exuding a cold aura which was both fearsome and violent. He was putting on a completely black suit, with his face hidden under his black hat which was giving off the sign of a dangerous secret spy.

As he sat in the lounge, embracing the cold solitude which circulated round the room as he played firmly with the knife in his hands, a trespassing presence highlighted into the room. He however didn't look up, keeping his hat down and creating an imposing appearance.

Isla—who had just entered the lounge, saw the imposing figure seated with his legs crossed and hat down, with the smooth twirling of a dagger being the only noise in the solitude. She walked fully into the room with the cold solitude sending shivers down her spine.

"Seems like you enjoy your quite time." she said as she as she sat down opposite him.

Under his hat, she could see his smirk, he remained unmoved from his position, not seeming to mind her tensed gaze.

"You should know why I'm here". He said coldly, while Isla clutched her hands together, assuming a confident aura while still feeling nervous within.

"Ghost, you should know that my sister left the pack two weeks ago. I'll need to plan well of I want to get what you want from her". She replied him.

He raised his head up a little, not more than three cm which only revealed his chin and not his face hidden under the black hat.

"You should know that the sect leader has no patience. You and your friend are only useful to him in this way for now". He again

Isla frowned deeply within, but not daring to show it on her face. She had the intense feeling the that, despite his face was hidden under that black hat of his, he was still watching her every move.

" I'm working on it. I'll get what you guys want for you, I just need time to infiltrate the Nightshade Nook Pack". She replied him in a reassuring tone.

He stood up however, still playing with the dagger, his black outfit and imposing aura still sending shivers down her spine. He reached his left hand into his packet, not giving a remark to her last reply. He left the lounge and the door and instantly disappeared from the crowd.

Isla sank into her seat, she looked at the untouched wine where he was. His mysterious appearance always seemed to get her in the scared mode. She reached out to her phone in her bag.

A call immediately seemed to come in, she tried picking up but the other person didn't really seem to want a phone call and just ended the calm before it was fully picked. No soon had this action been done when a string of messages came in. She looked at her phone and say the words written by the sender who was no other than the secret spy she had sent to Nightshade Nook Pack to monitor Parsley's movement.

(I might take action soon, but you'll need to be worried about the Alpha of the pack tracing this incident to you.)>

Isla read the lines of text. It piqued her interest on why the Alpha of the pack would be thinking about keeping a stranger safe. She immediately thought of paisley's grandfather as the old man has great influence in the pack and could contact the Alpha for her.

Her face frowned in coldness and jealousy

"Paisley Stone, I'll see how you'll scale through when you have so many people who want you dead". She muttered with a cold laugh.

On Wednesday it was, Paisley and aunt Becky were discussing on how Paisley could get busy in the pack. The atmosphere in the living room was filled with warmth as they chatted happily. Old Drake sat on his arm chair by the curtain wall as he listened to their conversation with a delighted feeling of his granddaughters presence in his heart.

"Grandpa, what do you think, how about I work in the packs royal hospital. " Paisley said to her grandfather as she turned to him with a smile.

The old man doesn't even change his gaze from the scenic view outside.

"That's fine." he replied simply.

Aunt Becky looks in-between them—one asking without doubt and the other granting permission without ceremony. There's something both predictable and entirely unspoken in the exchange.

"The med team of the pack could be of help to you in practicing while you're here". He continued.

"This sounds rather absurd", aunt Becky said as she glanced at Paisley while she continued. "Thought you came here to have a break, can't believe you're still planning to work."

Paisley smiled, her eyes filled with a hint of warmth as she heard her Aunt words which carried a tone of care.

"Aunt...come on, there's no use staying home all day long without having to do anything except shopping" she replied carefully.

Aunt Becky turned her face away, escaping Paisley's playful pitiful expression.

"Okay" she said. continuing, "Aunt knows how boring it is for a brilliant introvert like you to sit home all day like other young ladies.

"What? You expect her to be like that playboy who calls himself the beta of the pack?" Old Drake said with a diem tone as if complaining but rather more ok teasing.

"Father come on, at least he's your grandson, he's also capable though just more a little bit playfully lazy".

"And sarcastically annoying." Paisley added while Aunt Becky turned to her with a silencing gaze.

Meanwhile, Seth who was in the office making drafts of the warriors statistics couldn't help sneezing suddenly. His eyes flickered as he thought of who could be gossiping about him at the moment.

"Let's forget about him for now" Aunt Becky said ending the talk of the playboy. "When are you submitting your resume to the Dean, he's quite strict with being professional."

"Is he that demanding?" Paisley asked with her gaze firmly on her grandfather.

Old Drake chuckled.

"Just be confidant when meeting him". He wouldn't doubt with my name being mentioned. " he replied without stressing much about it.

Paisley nodded firmly, her mind please about being able to work in a packs hospital, she thought about how advanced the technology there in the royal hospital would be.

" I'll ask someone to send your curriculum vitæ to him, just get ready on time" he ended before going upstairs into the study.

After watching him leave, she turned to Aunt Becky who was busy embroidering ever since and had finally dropped the needle.

"Aunt, who's the Dean?" she asked.

Aunt Becky looked at her, resting her back on the couch. "Ohh, you mean Logan".

Paisley looked at her in surprise but not showing it. "Why does he sound young?" she asked again.

"He's only a few years older than you, he just happen to be the most talented young doctor we have here. And he has an obsession for making medicines, so the Alpha made him the dean of the medical institute. " Aunt Becky replied before continuing after a pause. "he's quite strict, but also friendly".

Paisley nodded after listening to the description from her. "Okay. I'll prepare my curriculum vitæ now". Paisley said while she left for her room leaving aunt Becky to go tend to her flowers in the garden.

"ohh I almost forgot, I could maybe match those two up, doctor would make a good couple". Aunt Becky soliloquized to herself as she walked out the door into the cool evening.
