The Beast's Beloved: Sickly Beauty with Many Children and blessings

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: I Will Feel That You Are Thinking About Me

Not only did Si Shu find fruits, but she also discovered many herbs—some that could stop bleeding and reduce inflammation, others that could clear heat and detoxify, relieve cough, stop diarrhea, soothe pain, and promote blood circulation.

She wasn't picky. She gathered any fruits and herbs she came across. She placed two-thirds of the fruits into her space and left one-third in a rattan basket within her space. As for the herbs, she only kept a few common ones outside that everyone would recognize.

The sniper suit was airtight, and she wore animal skins underneath.

After working intermittently for about two hours, the rattan basket was nearly full. Si Shu was hot and tired, so she created a small space for herself, took off her sniper coat, drank some warm meat soup, and rested.

Si Shu really enjoyed working hard and sweating. This kind of energetic feeling was something she could never have dreamed of in her previous life.

Seeing that it was still early, she took out a supernatural awakening pill—similar to the one she had taken before—and placed it in her mouth. The pill melted instantly, and a gentle force spread from her esophagus to all parts of her body.

After a while, Si Shu felt even hotter and more exhausted. In a daze, she fell asleep on the animal skin.

A distant horn sound suddenly woke her up. Immediately, a foul stench assaulted her nostrils, making her almost gag.

Si Shu smacked her forehead. There was no time to dwell on it. She had to clean up quickly. She didn't even put on her protective clothing and simply bit the bullet, cleaning up the mess before pulling back some of the cut vines.

When she was near the exit, she took the rattan basket out of her space and carried it on her back.

Si Shu was afraid of missing the team's return to the tribe, so she jogged all the way.

Despite carrying at least 30 kilograms of wild fruits and herbs, she didn't feel the weight at all. In fact, she felt light as a swallow! Had she successfully awakened her supernatural powers?

Sure enough, she saw an unread message from the system in her sea of consciousness:

System: Congratulations to the host for awakening the primary healing ability of wood. The Level 1 skill "Like a Spring Breeze" has a certain effect of stopping bleeding and accelerating the healing of injuries and illnesses. Proficiency: 0/100. Auxiliary skill: Level 1 "Induction of Labor." Proficiency: 0/100.

Si Shu clenched her fists excitedly. With superpowers, she now had an extra layer of protection in the Beast World Continent!

If she could cultivate her powers to a high level, she could save the people she cared about instead of watching helplessly as they became disabled or died due to severe injuries and lack of treatment.

No one understood the agony of waiting for death more deeply than she did…

"Si Shu, where are you?" Yi Mei's voice came from not far away.

Si Shu hurried to the place where they had separated earlier.

When Yi Mei saw her emerge from the bushes, she breathed a sigh of relief and waved. "It's my fault. I forgot that you can't hear well. I should have stayed with you on your first collection trip."

Si Shu smiled and shook her head. "I've been in the tribe and collected things before. I just misjudged the time in this new place. I'll be more careful next time!"

As Yi Mei approached, she suddenly covered her nose. "Si Shu, where have you been? Did you accidentally provoke a stinky beast while collecting?"

Si Shu frowned, blushed, and nodded vigorously. She lied with a straight face, "I found a patch of fruit and accidentally cut into the stinky beast's territory!"

Since her powers had just awakened, her body expelled foul-smelling impurities. The strong stench couldn't have come from just a bug.

Yi Mei sighed sympathetically. "Then you better be careful next time. Let's go back to the tribe first so you can take a bath at home."

Afraid of spreading the smell to others, Si Shu wrapped herself in an animal skin before climbing onto the golden leopard.

After returning to the tribe, Si Shu handed over half of the fruit and quickly climbed back home to bathe.

The hunting team returned at sunset. Zhile was leading, carrying prey in his arms. When they arrived at the tribe's entrance, he didn't see his little female among the orcs who came to greet them.

He transformed into human form, his expression cold, whispered something to his two friends, then strode home.

Yi Mei saw him and called out with a smile, "Zhile, our collection team just got back. Don't worry, Si Shu is fine. She just had bad luck and ran into a group of stinky beasts. She's taking a bath at home right now."

Zhile breathed a sigh of relief, nodded in thanks, but still hurried home anxiously.

When he jumped onto the platform, he saw the little female squatting near the fire, boiling water. Her fair little face had two streaks of ash, and a faint fishy smell lingered in the air.

He coughed lightly, suppressing the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Kitten, I've been outside running around all day. My body is covered in blood and dust. Will you accompany me for a bath?"

Si Shu looked up at him and suddenly realized that they hadn't seen each other all day. Now, she couldn't suppress her longing for him.

Mainly, she had been too busy to think about it before!

"I… I collected a lot of wild fruits and some herbs today, but I smell a bit. I was afraid I'd bother you, not that I didn't want to meet you at the gate!" She stood up and explained seriously.

Zhile's eyes were full of warmth. "I know. I'm just happy you're back home safely. You don't have to come to greet me. The smell of blood is too strong."

"Let's take a bath. We'll be back just in time to share the meat and eat! Today, we hunted a den of tusked pigs, killed three adults, and brought back seven piglets. I'll take you to see them later."

Si Shu nodded, put out the fire, took a change of clothes, and was about to climb the stone steps by herself.

Zhile walked up to her, picked her up, and smiled. "No matter what my kitten is like, I like her. We've both worked hard outside all day, so neither of us will mind each other's smell. Let's take a bath together later!"

Si Shu blushed and closed her eyes. She was already used to her own scent and couldn't even smell it anymore.

Zhile still took her to the stream where they had bathed the day before.

Si Shu suddenly remembered that when she opened her survival package that morning, she had received a 20-meter shrimp cage.

She touched the beast mark on her wrist while looking at Zhile.

"Kitten, stop touching me. I can't stand it." Zhile rubbed his head, his voice turning hoarse. His gray-blue eyes flashed with a hint of scarlet. "The beast mark is our bond. When you touch it, it's like blowing wind in my ear. If you do it once or twice, I know you're thinking about me, but if you keep touching it—especially when I'm right here—I'll feel that you really want me."

Si Shu immediately understood. She quickly put her hand behind her back. "I was just curious, nothing else!"

Zhile raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Nothing else? We need to communicate better. It's my duty to take good care of my female and understand her needs."

Si Shu blushed furiously, but Zhile loved teasing her—he really did treat her like a little kitten.

To change the subject, she took out the large shrimp cage made of metal mesh.

"This appeared in my space. If we put some bait inside and place it in the water, we can catch fish, shrimp, and crabs. I want to eat prawns!"

She had always loved seafood, but now, as a cat-person, just thinking about it made her mouth water…
