Chapter 6: Some History
Part 1: The History of the Vescari Syndicate
The underworld had always been a place of blood and power, and at its heart, the Vescari Syndicate thrived under the leadership of Adrian Vescari. Ruthless, intelligent, and unpredictable, Adrian was not just a criminal—he was a force of nature.
He built his empire from nothing, rising from the gutters of Palermo to control a vast network of illegal operations spanning drugs, arms trafficking, and contract killings. He was feared, not respected, for he did not command loyalty through admiration, but through sheer terror.
Adrian Vescari's philosophy was simple: "The only rule that matters is survival. Everything else is a lie." He was willing to burn the world to the ground if it meant extending his own life for another day. Those who worked under him learned quickly that their usefulness was the only thing keeping them breathing.
His madness wasn't just in his unpredictable violence, but in his cold, strategic mind. He would smile while ordering a massacre and laugh while burning the corpses. He wasn't just a criminal—he was a monster who enjoyed the chaos he created.
But even monsters needed men to enforce their will, and that was where Anton Sorelli came in.
Anton Sorelli's Role and Why Dominic Graves Wants Him Dead
Anton Sorelli was Adrian Vescari's right hand, a man as ruthless as his boss but far more methodical. If Vescari was the wildfire, Sorelli was the scalpel—silent, precise, and deadly.
Sorelli controlled the financial side of the Vescari Syndicate. He handled money laundering, bribery, and blackmail. More importantly, he was the one who kept the organization running when Vescari's madness threatened to consume it.
For Dominic Graves, killing Anton Sorelli wasn't just about revenge—it was about crippling the Vescari Syndicate. Without Sorelli's management, the entire empire would start falling apart from within.
But Sorelli was no fool. He had surrounded himself with mercenaries, crooked cops, and layers of security. He knew his enemies were coming, and he was prepared.
There are many Members of the Vescari Syndicate the most important of them are:
# Luca "The Hammer" DiBenedetto – The enforcer. A giant of a man, brutal and merciless, known for breaking bones with his bare hands.
#Silvio "The Rat" Bellini – The informant. He gathered intelligence for Vescari, using bribery, blackmail, and torture to get what he needed.
# Eduardo Vescari – Adrian's brother, just as deadly as his brother. He handled assassinations and internal discipline, ensuring that betrayal was met with swift execution.
Part 2: The Clash Between the Black Sun Syndicate and the Vescari Syndicate
The war between the Black Sun Syndicate and the Vescari Syndicate began with betrayal.
Years ago, Dominic Graves and Adrian Vescari were more than partners—they were brothers in arms. They fought together, built empires together, and trusted each other with their lives.
But power has a way of breaking even the strongest bonds.
Adrian Vescari's betrayal was personal. He didn't just turn against Dominic for power—he took something that could never be forgiven. Dominic's wife.
He didn't just steal her away. He broke Dominic's trust, his heart, and his world. That betrayal ignited a war, one that spilled blood across entire cities.
Vescari wanted Graves dead, and Graves wanted Vescari erased from history.
Why Dominic Hasn't Killed Elias Yet
Elias should have been another dead man in Dominic's path. But something held him back.
Maybe it was the way Jacob had betrayed Elias, just as Adrian had betrayed Dominic.
Maybe, deep down, Dominic saw himself in Elias—a man who had lost everything, who had been given a choice, and who had been forced into darkness.
For all his cruelty, Dominic Graves was not without reason. He did not kill without purpose, and for now, Elias had a purpose.
Part 3: Dominic Graves' Early Life
Long before he became the feared crime lord, Dominic Graves was just a boy named Dominic Cain.
His mother, Anna Cain, was once a simple woman—until she met Lewis Andrade, the leader of the Black Sun Syndicate. Andrade was rich, powerful, and ruthless, and that was all it took for Anna to abandon her husband, Adam.
Adam had been a small-time enforcer for the Black Sun, a man trying to climb the ladder. But Andrade saw him as a threat and had him executed.
Dominic never forgot.
He grew up hating his mother, knowing she had sold her soul for comfort and wealth. He hated Lewis Andrade, the man who had stolen everything from him.
As a teenager, he joined the syndicate, determined to climb the ranks. He proved himself through theft, murder, and betrayal, doing whatever was necessary to gain power and influence.
And when the time was right, he took his revenge.
He killed Lewis Andrade with his own hands. Then he tracked down his mother and ended her life, making sure her last moments were filled with regret and terror.
By the time he was done, Dominic was no longer just a soldier of the Black Sun Syndicate. He had become its ruler.
And he would never be weak again.
Ending: Elias and Dominic Graves' Conversation
The room was dimly lit, the air heavy with the scent of whiskey and cigar smoke. Elias sat across from Dominic, his hands tense on the table.
Dominic studied him, a slow smirk forming. "You look like a man with questions."
Elias met his gaze. "Why didn't you kill me that night?"
Dominic leaned back, exhaling a thin stream of smoke. "You remind me of someone. A man who was given a choice and got stabbed in the back."
Elias stiffened. "You're saying I'm like you?"
Dominic chuckled. "Maybe. Maybe not. But you're useful to me. And that means you get to live. For now."
Elias clenched his jaw. "And after this mission?"
Dominic's smirk widened. "That depends on you."
He reached into his pocket, tossing a small, worn photograph onto the table.
Elias hesitated before picking it up. His breath caught.
The man in the picture was his father, Peter.
Elias' eyes snapped up, filled with shock and suspicion. "How do you know my father?"
Dominic's expression darkened, his voice a low whisper. "I'll tell you… if you survive."
A tense silence filled the room.
Then, Dominic leaned forward, tapping the table with a single finger. "You have one job, Elias. Kill Anton Sorelli. Do that…"
He paused, his smile returning.
"…and you'll be free."
