Chapter 32: A bridge to madness
#### Revised chapter###
Zayn rubbed his arm, remembering those detailed descriptions. Just thinking about it gave him goosebumps.
He nodded to Xane.
Xane thought for a bit and asked, [Wait, how are you sure it'll target the weapon's mind first? What if it's reversed?]
Zayn shook his head.
[Like?]
[Can't we just buy weapons from this dwarf in the future? I feel like there's a lot of uncertainty here. Also, what about power? Creating a weapon is one thing, but can we even use it, or are we just going to become some blacksmiths?]
Zayn paused in surprise.
He hadn't expected Xane to ask so many questions—and all of them were valid.
He sighed.
Xane thought for some time and said, [This method does sound better. I can see the possibility of us using this and then supplementing it with the other two.]
[Though, I see another big problem.]
[Let's say everything goes according to plan, and the dwarf joins the same Hex Master as us. But then how are we going to convince him? I don't want a repeat of what just happened with the Liam situation.]
Zayn just looked around the class.
He saw the last dozen or so teens still sitting and talking with each other.
A couple of interesting faces stood out, but no one from the main cast.
Xane asked again, [Is there any other method?]
Zayn stared up at the white ceiling, trying to come up with something, and suddenly, he jolted upright and picked up the ID.
Xane looked at the screen, but instead of the mentor list, Zayn once again opened the cursed land detail.
What was more interesting was that he actually opened the page on the Cursed Land of Law.
Xane asked him, [This is the cursed land Liam was part of, right?]
Zayn just nodded as he continued to scan the page. After about two minutes, Zayn pointed.
Xane stared at the paper with interest as he asked, [Oh, do they also target the brain?]
Zayn shook his head.
Xane read the paragraph and nodded. [The method of producing the fog is similar. But what does this domain fog do?]
Zayn waved his hand.
[Are you saying we can use the method used by these Hex Masters? Isn't their method focused more on easing body damage?]
Zayn nodded his head.
[ So it is possible? The way you didn't talk about it, I thought it was impossible.]
[Why?]
Zayn rubbed his chin and said,
Xane asked, [The hole is there to let us pass the residual fog?]
[Why does that even matter?]
Zayn spoke with excitement, like he was onto something.
[I know a bit about it from the surface, but nothing too deep.]
Xane thought for a moment and said in an uncertain tone, [All the hex energy will rush out to the outside world?]
Zayn was about to nod, but then he shook his head.
[Then?]
[Okay, so we don't lose our hex energy, but we lose the ability to use that hex energy?]
Zayn said with a smile,
[Come on, just explain the solution.]
Xane mentally raised his eyebrow. [Oh, now that the outside world has a light element, the energy won't rush out that quickly—is that correct?]
Zayn added,
Xane frowned. [Wait, does that mean... nothing will happen?]
Zayn tapped the table.
Xane didn't have to think long as he said, [That fog will increase the element density and then it will rush to the low-density world.]
Zayn clapped his hands.
[Sigh... just let me think for some time.]
Zayn grabbed the ID and started scrolling through the mentor list.
