THE DAY CATASTROPHE DESCENDED

The hunters now has almost completed their sparring contest between them . It was now time for today's training session to finally close . But , suddenly , something unexpected happened . Sophie Burnstein who was starring at Jinhyuk for a long time came towards the place assigned for Korean Hunters . Jinhyuk who was drinking water noticed her from the corner of his right eye . He didn't feel any discomfort or any ill energy from her but he kept his guard up .

Sophie came towards Jinhyuk as he stood facing him . She looked at Jinhyuk one more time before saying

"I heard that you are a strong hunter even when I was in my country . After I heard that you beat Steven , I was really shocked and I had certain disbelieves but now that I see in person . I understand that you are far stronger than I imagined"

"Thank you but I am not strong enough . I have to grow stronger" said Jinhyuk

"Can I request something ?"

"Sure"

"Let's have a spar"

"What ?"

"That's right . I want to see how strong you actually are"

"Alright"

Jinhyuk got up and they both started walking towards the arena . Jinhyuk and Sophie stood opposite to each other with a distance of 10 m between them . All the hunters were more curious now . Jinhyuk smiled and so did Sophie . She took out her long sword and started covering it with a yellow mana . Jinhyuk also took out his sword and started covering it with his green mana .

Sophie rushed towards Jinhyuk and she raised her sword . Her speed surprised even Jinhyuk .

-Holy Blade Dance , Second Form : Holy Strike

She slashed through the air and Jinhyuk dodged it . The sword energy released formed a huge crater on the back. Jinhyuk landed beside the crater as he closed his eyes . Jinhyuk concentrated and opened his eyes . In an instant , he was behind Sophie as he raised his sword with one arm and pushed it forward . The sword pierced Sophie but she disappeared . It was her after image . She caught Jinhyuk by his arm and threw him . Jinhyuk crashed on the wall . Everyone present there was shocked . Today was the first day that someone could ever injure Jinhyuk . He got up and wiped off the blood from the side of his mouth .

Jinhyuk lips curled on a smile as he stood up holding his sword . Sophie on the other hand was releasing her aura as a cloak of golden colour surrounded her . Jinhyuk didn't back off . He stood steady as a cloak of green colour surrounded him . They both launched from their positions towards each other as they clashed their swords . They disappeared and as they appeared their blades clash around each other . They roamed around the entire arena clashing blades as waves of mana pierced through the hunters present there . Everyone was stunned to see the match . After some time , a figure launched from the smoke and crashed on one side of the wall . The smoke and dust cleared and everyone saw that Jinhyuk was standing on the ground holding his sword .

The person launched on the wall was none other than Sophie Burnstein . The dust settled as Sophie was lying on the rubbles with her back against the wall . Jinhyuk turned back to return to his seat but he sensed a high concentration of mana which was being released by Sophie . She stood up with her trembling legs as she got covered in yellow light . As the light died down , Jinhyuk along with all the hunters saw that Sophie stood there as her injuries from the fight disappeared . She was emitting a golden glow as she got covered in an armour . Her hair turned bright golden and her eyes were emitting a bluish glow . Jinhyuk said

"That's quite the look you got there"

"This is something I need to defeat you Mr.Sung" said Sophie

"Please drop the formalities , you can call me Jinhyuk"

"Alright"

"That armor is … Holy Armor"

"That's correct . It's the armor of an Archangel"

"It's quite good but …. I too have something"

Jinhyuk stood straight as system popped up before him

Jinhyuk's injuries healed in an instant which shocked everyone once again instead of the Korean Hunters . Jinhyuk's hair started turning white as his clothes became of the same colour . His eyes were now blue once again as it emitted a glow just like Sophie . Sophie who stood opposite was surprised once more to know that this already powerful man also has a transformed form which makes him even stronger . They both released their mana as the hunters experienced a blow of mana . They both raised their swords as they both had a raged face . They disappeared and appeared before each other and slashed with their swords . The output of mana was so large that the whole building was shaking despite being made with dungeon stones . They retreated once more and for the last time they charged at each other . They both were about to make contact but they both were holded back . Sumi was holding Jinhyuk as Seol-ah was helping her and Sophie was held by Julie White and David Miller . They both calmed down as they returned to normal .

Sophie and Jinhyuk forwarded towards each other as they both held their hand in an handshake .

"It was a nice fight" said Sophie (clearly exhausted)

"Same to you too" said Jinhyuk (less exhausted than Sophie)

They both returned to their stands as they sat down . It was now eventually the time to head back from the training hall . Jinhyuk and his companions left the training hall . Before leaving , both Jinhyuk and Sophie had their eyes met and both of them had a cold face devoid of emotions .

-ONE WEEK LATER-

It's been a long week as the preparations for the raid was not small . Everyday went through a regular schedule of training , sparing , eating , training and sleeping . It was now finally the time for the Jeju Island's fourth raid and preferably the last raid . The commander of Assault Team is selected to be Chris Mark .

-Korean Hunter Association-

-Time Remaining till the start of raid : 5 hours-

The hunters gathered in the main hall with the Association President . He was speaking to someone on the phone while the others were waiting . Jinhyuk was standing quietly with his eyes closed while Seol-ah and Sumi were clearly excited for the raid . Hyunwoo was standing with a nervous expression on his face . The hunters from other countries were also waiting patiently for the President to speak .

The President finally opened his mouth after a long 20 minutes wait

"Everyone , I thank you all today for taking part in this raid to help Korea"

"..." (nobody said a word)

"I would like to give you all something which can help you to successfully carry on this raid"

The President clapped his hands and many crates were brought by the Association Members . Each one of the crate was for each hunter . Everyone took the crates and placed them in front .

"Everyone , please open your crates"

Everyone did as instructed . Inside was a communication device which uses mana to work and can transmit words even miles far away very clearly . Other thing was a watch like device . Everyone wore the watch . As soon as they wore them , a holographic screen was floating in front of them . It was like Jinhyuk's system but it was very underdeveloped .

"This watch shows the condition of the hunters to them in real time . It will help you all understand your condition before you start a fight"

"This watch has an inbuilt suit which can be equipped by voice command. The suit has a healing system and embedded mana crystals to provide for extra mana usage . Although , it's a prototype it is still worth it"

The hunters equipped the suit . The President said

"What does everyone think ?"

"This suit is pretty good" said American Hunter Chris Mark

"This really is a great suit" said French Hunter David Miller

All the hunters exclaimed their remarks . The people who stayed quite after wearing the suit were French Hunter Sophie Burnstein and Korean Hunters Sung Jinhyuk and Sung Sumi . They all headed towards the roof of the Association where 2 helicopters are on standby . They all got into the helicopter and flew towards the Jeju Island .

-2 HOURS LATER-

The helicopters were now above the Jeju Island . The sea below were already surrounded by many ships of Korea and China . There were many helicopters of News Channel . The helicopter started descending and stopped mid-air . The pilot said

"Dear Hunters , landing the helicopter is dangerous on the island . This is the minimum height helicopter can descend . Please , jump from here"

"It's alright" said Chris

He got up from his seat and opened the door . The wind was blowing heavy as the hairs of all the hunters were flying . Chris signalled everyone to jump as he jumped first . He was followed by Sophie and Zhou Chen . After they three jumped it were only Sumi and Jinhyuk left in the dungeon . Sumi was about to leave but she saw that Jinhyuk was still sitting . She called

"You coming , Jinhyuk"

"After you" said Jinhyuk as he was getting up from his seat .

He came forward and grabbed Sumi's arm as he handed over a pendant with a blue gem towards him .

"What is this ?" asked Sumi

"A protective amulet and an alarm" replied Jinhyuk

"Where do I use it ?"

"You know , I came to Jeju Island once before right ?"

"Yeah"

"I found some items which raised my suspicion . Sis , stay with the other hunters during the raid . I am going myself alone . If you face any difficulty supply your mana through the amulet , it will reach me . Okay ?"

"Understood but please take care"

"You bet"

Sumi and Jinhyuk jumped together . The air blowing their hair as they descended . Sumi was descending downwards towards the place where others landed but Jinhyuk controlled himself mid-air as he launched towards the centre of the mountain . Sumi saw that Jinhyuk was headed towards the massive gate . 

Sumi landed on the ground with her mana as she saw the others . Chris asked

"Where is Jinhyuk-ssi ?"

"He went for self patrolling" said Sumi

"What ? It's ridiculous . How can he go like that ?" said Zhou Chen

"Just leave him be . He is strong enough to solo the entire island " said Sophie

"But …." said Zhou Chen

"Let us go too . Sumi-ssi please stay close" said Chris

"A-Alright" said Sumi 

-Jinhyuk's Side-

Jinhyuk landed near the Black Gate . Last time , he encountered the dragon as soon as he entered . Jinhyuk gulped as he entered the black gate once more . As soon as he entered , the system popped up

Jinhyuk experienced it once more . The feeling of thrown into a portal with his body being sucked away . He landed on the ground . This time the experience was not bad like last time

Jinhyuk moved forward with more confidence than last time . He reached the hall where the dragon rested . The Black Dragon was lying there as a lifeless stone but as soon as he realised Jinhyuk's presence . The dragon got up and saw Jinhyuk

"Good To See You Again , Human" said Sylus (The Black Dragon)

"It's good to see you too , Sylus" said Jinhyuk

"Listen , Human . I was hoping to see you again one last time"

"Last time ?"

"That's correct . My life force and mana are almost exhausted and I am now going to die"

"But…."

"I know , I haven't answered many of your questions yet but I don't have much time left . I want you to take all my powers "

"What ?"

"Yes , after I die . Try absorbing all the powers through your system . It shouldn't be too difficult"

"Alright , I understand"

"Good and also I have another request . Please take care of my dragon egg"

"Don't worry . I will keep it safe"

"Then , Farewell"

Sylus closed her eyes . Her body slowly glowed as cracks started to form on her body . Jinhyuk's system popped up

Jinhyuk was shocked to see the descriptions . He didn't even imagine that a dragon was so powerful . He thought before some time before taking out the Dragon Heart . It was atleast twice the size of a human heart and the mana it excluded was greater than any human can possess . Jinhyuk gulped before he swallowed the heart .

Jinhyuk was standing still as his body did not have any effects after swallowing the heart . He was confused . He was about to open his system when a beat made him stop . His heart was beating uncontrollably fast . Another beat and he collapsed . Jinhyuk fell clenching his chest as veins popped up on his face and arms . The system notified

Jinhyuk couldn't breath . His body released blood from the ears , eyes , nose and mouth . Jinhyuk laid down unable to get up . His body breaking apart . Mana was continously overflowing . Jinhyuk tried to control the mana as he was attempting to calm the violent mana veins inside his body . After about 10 minutes of struggle , the system popped up

Jinhyuk felt much better now . He felt like he was being burnt alive for the last 10 minutes . Jinhyuk didn't waste any time as he sat down to check his insides . He could feel the calm , warm sensation of mana but it was clearly greater than last time . Jinhyuk concentrated as he tried to feel the mana around him . The mana started to gather inside his heart without his concern . Jinhyuk successfully gathered all the mana around him as his mana capacity went incredibly high . His heart was continuously gathering mana from the air and it couldn't be controlled by Jinhyuk .

"Atleast I would have near infinite mana . I can use it however long I want" said Jinhyuk

Jinhyuk came out of the black gate as it started to shake . The black gate began to grow smaller as it closed . Jinhyuk was surprised , but even if the gate is closed it didn't matter because all the monsters inside the gate has already released into the island . Jinhyuk was about to start walking as an intense mana wave struck him as he stopped . He looked towards the North as the sensation came from that side itself . Jinhyuk was feeling nervous as the mana wave was not of any normal monster . It was even stronger than the 5 tailed fox Jinhyuk fought last time .

At that moment , the gem which was the other half of the pendant he gave to Sumi started glowing bright red . It was a signal that the Assault team was in trouble . Jinhyuk didn't waste anymore time as he started running towards the North .
