Chapter 79: Chapter 79. Not Your Business
Chapter 79. Not Your Business
---
Quickly, they shifted their focus back to each other, ignoring everything else.
Obito's Sharingan, now in its three-tomoe form, began spinning furiously as he launched a fierce assault on Kakashi.
Only his remaining sliver of willpower kept him from using any terrifying forbidden techniques on Kakashi. The two fought back and forth, relying solely on taijutsu.
Seeing this, Yuto couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
Obito's taijutsu had indeed improved significantly.
It wasn't like before...
When ninjutsu couldn't flow and taijutsu led to twisted ankles. Now, his movements were so much smoother!
Of course, this might also be due to Obito being in a "darkened" state.
Darkened mode: ten times stronger!
Even though he had teased Obito a couple of times, it was evident as the fight continued that Obito had gotten serious.
"Who would've thought there'd be such a genius in the Uchiha clan?" muttered Uchiha Setsuna, suddenly staring seriously at Obito. "His pupil power is continuously increasing."
"???"
Was he about to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan?
Hearing this, Yuto was a bit surprised, furrowing his brows as he looked at Obito.
The abilities of the Uchiha Mangekyo Sharingan reflect the user's inner emotions. Since Rin hadn't died this time, would Obito still awaken Kamui?
Would he create a world where Rin only loved him, with no Kakashi in sight?
Or would he pursue power that complements his forbidden techniques?
"Does the Chief Elder hold him in high regard?"
"If it were before... I would've recommended the clan train him thoroughly," the Chief Elder said with a faint smile and a cryptic tone. "But now... perhaps the Second Elder would consider it. As for me..." He glanced at the frenzied Obito and sighed. "Too prone to making enemies!"
Clad in garishly floral bell-bottoms and a flared shirt, his trendy '80s "street punk" style seriously undermined his temperament.
Especially that stiff hairstyle...
Chief Elder?!
Where did you even get hair gel?!
Bah!
That's not right!
That graying hair—did you secretly get a makeover?
At this moment, his appearance had a distinctly countercultural vibe.
The nonconformist of the ninja world?
The Uchiha boy band?
Yuto's mouth twitched. As a junior, he didn't dare comment on his elder's eccentric style. Instead, he lowered his head to glance at the chubby-cheeked Itachi next to him, who was sipping milk tea and watching the duel curiously. Unable to resist, Yuto pinched his pudgy face.
Chubby Itachi... so soft to the touch.
"???" Itachi looked up in confusion.
"Nothing! Keep drinking!" Yuto patted his head gently. "Finish it and head back soon."
As an uncle, he cared deeply about his nephew!
Glancing at the little girl next to Itachi, he remembered she was someone the Uchiha family had recommended. Her father had died on the battlefield, leaving behind an orphan and a widow, so they'd been assigned chores within the clan.
Who would've thought...
Chubby Itachi!
She's your childhood sweetheart!
"Yuto-sama!" the little girl said softly.
"Just call me Uncle," Yuto replied with a smile, patting her head. "Take care of Itachi!"
Obito might be a bootlicker, but Itachi... he was definitely a brother-complex.
In the Uchiha clan, everyone seemed to have some sort of issue—except him, of course!
"???" The little girl blinked her big, confused eyes.
Yuto didn't elaborate, instead turning his attention back to the fight, resuming his commentary.
"Kakashi's one-legged Golden Rooster Stance and majestic Roc Spreads Its Wings exude a proud aura, as if he's the only star on the dance floor, drawing everyone's attention."
"Unfortunately, Obito was prepared. With a reverse Black Tiger's Heart Grab and cunning Monkey Scoops the Moon, he perfectly blended aggression and elegance. Truly worthy of the Uchiha name!"
At that moment—
"Are they fighting? Are they fighting?"
A blond figure rushed in. Seeing the two locked in a taijutsu battle, he sighed in relief. But when he heard Yuto's commentary over the sound system, his mouth twitched. Helplessly, he walked over.
"Yuto, you..."
If he hadn't seen it himself, he would've thought they were actually dancing!
All that talk about graceful posture, precise movements, and a refined aura, moving subtly to the rhythm...
Pausing, he didn't even know how to respond.
In the end, he shook his head. "What's going on here?"
He had rushed over in a panic after hearing his subordinates were fighting, even leaving Kushina behind.
And now?
What on earth was happening?
Even as a Jonin, he couldn't figure it out!
"As you can see, it's a dance battle!" Yuto replied with a smile, holding the microphone toward Minato. "As their teacher, how do you feel about Dancer 1 - Kakashi, and Dancer 2 - Uchiha Obito's dance prowess?"
"Dance prowess?" Minato was stunned for a moment, then, with a serious expression, said, "Kakashi has a solid foundation and good stamina, while Obito is more unorthodox. If it drags on too long... unless he uses..."
He trailed off, his mouth twitching again, and stopped speaking.
Suddenly—
"Minato-sensei!" Rin ran in anxiously, urging, "Please stop the two of them. Don't let them keep fighting!"
Hearing this, Minato snapped back to his senses. "Right."
Just as he was about to step in—
"Wait a moment," Yuto interjected. "Are you sure you want to stop them now?"
"???" The two looked at him in confusion.
"Obito is venting his frustrations," Yuto explained. "They won't kill each other, so if you stop them now, it might only make things worse later."
Obito did care about Rin and Kakashi deep down.
But—
Rin puffed her cheeks and glared at Yuto.
This guy had been stirring the pot from the start!
Too infuriating!
She stared at him seriously. "This isn't just to sell milk tea, popcorn, and fried chicken, is it?"
"Heh, just a bit of money. Do you think I care?" Yuto sneered.
In fact, they were almost sold out.
Looking at Rin, he sighed like an experienced elder. "Do you even know why they're fighting?" He shook his head and continued, "If you like someone, say it. If you don't, don't give them false hope. Especially not to someone who's a hopeless romantic!"
Tsunade handles things so well!
If Jiraiya dares to ramble too much, she just punches him and tells him to scram!
Of course...
Jiraiya hasn't gone to any extremes. Maybe he's just a scumbag, with Tsunade being a safe harbor in his heart while he also enjoys wandering through forests elsewhere!
And Sasuke... well, early on he just hated women. Otherwise, that would've been another melodrama!
So, the first two times, just say no outright.
Explain to people? Why bother?
"I…" Rin opened her mouth but then lowered her head. "We're just teammates!"
She did care about Obito.
But... for various reasons, she couldn't face him directly right now.
Then she nervously lifted her head. "What if they get hurt? Maybe they could just sit down and talk it out?"
"You want to stop them? If so, go ahead! If anyone can stop Obito, it's you! You should make things clear!" Yuto shook his head. "Only you can do it!"
"I…" Rin hesitated for a moment, but then determination flashed in her eyes. "I understand now! We're teammates! It's my responsibility to stop them!"
With that, she turned around, took a deep breath, and walked forward.
Instantly, Minato nodded approvingly and sighed. "They've all grown so much!"
"Grown... up? Uh, yeah…" Yuto nodded with a complicated expression.
At that moment, under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Rin walked into the "dance floor."
She clenched her fists at her sides, raised her voice, and shouted, "Stop fighting! Kakashi! Obito! Stop this now!"
As soon as she finished, sure enough, both of them paused.
Just as Yuto thought it was all over and shook his head in mild disappointment—
"This is none of your business, Rin!" Obito stared deeply at Kakashi. "I have to teach him a lesson right now!"
"Exactly! Rin, step aside!" Kakashi, expressionless, kept his eyes on Obito without even glancing at her. "I must beat this idiot up! This has nothing to do with you!"
Neither of them paid any attention to Rin and resumed fighting.
Immediately—
"???"
Rin's face turned red.
None of her business?
Then what was the point of her coming over?
In that instant, Rin recalled the battlefield, where whenever the conversation turned to jutsu, these two would forget all about her.
"This must be... the bond between comrades," the Chief Elder sighed with nostalgia in his eyes. "Such a surprising bond, indeed!"
"..."
Yuto and Minato exchanged awkward smiles.
This... wasn't exactly what they had expected!
Suddenly—
"Stop! If you don't stop…" Rin stood her ground, her neck stiff with determination. She clenched her fists, shut her eyes, and shouted impulsively, "I'll hate you both! Just stop it already! Or I'll really hate you, Obito, Kakashi, I—"
Before she could finish her sentence, Yuto and Minato's expressions changed.
But—
It was too late.
A terrifying glow seemed to emanate from Obito's entire body.
Lightning leaped from his fingertips!
His three-tomoe Sharingan spun wildly.
In the blink of an eye—
Kakashi couldn't even react.
A loud explosion!
"Boom!"
At that moment, everyone's eyes were fixed on the "dance floor."
The dust settled.
Two silhouettes reappeared in front of the crowd.
