Chapter 170: A Dimming Star! IV
On the outskirts of the Void of Space, not too far from the Realm of Ephesus.
Three Void Vessels forged ahead calmly as within one of them, a Stellar Ruler stood in a meditative position in the center of a room.
A large bed lay behind him where the naked figures of a Sky Ruler and a Void Ruler could be seen, with the Void Ruler tying up her crimson hair as dense particles of Chaos danced around her.
"What horror did Sir face in the Death Lands of the Void to give such injuries?"
She asked probingly while getting clothed as the naked upper body of the Stellar Ruler had a huge gash that was not entirely healing on his chest!
Bones and organs shining with a stellar hue could be seen within as the expression of the Stellar Ruler became unpleasant for a moment before he answered.
"It is not the Death Lands themselves as much as who I happened to come across. Those vile lunatics from the Dark Rule. I came across the Stellar Dark Sword!"
…!
The words caused both the women behind him to shudder in trepidation and awe as they whispered the distinction to themselves
The Stellar Dark Sword.
A known Stellar Ruler with a terrifying power that no Stellar Ruler between the Star Alliance, the Beast Alliance, or the Dark Rule wanted to go against!
Stellar Ruler Bartholomew had actually come across such a monster and survived.
His fair skin glinted as he touched the wound that seemed to burn with a dark and sharp authority, his eyes burning with anger as he voiced out.
"Dark Rulers…Dark Rulers. Why do they get the reputation of having the most fearsome Rulers? Why can we not be as callous and ruthless as them?! If I see any Dark Ruler from now on, I will shred them to pieces no matter what!"
…!
His eyes burned with power as deep within him, a Star shone dimly.
His chest revealed a Nine-Link Gem Socket as at its very center, there looked to be a genuine Star.
A star!
It radiated a heavy stellar obsidian purple light as this was a Star of Gravity at its base, and other threads of Covenant flowed throughout it in a seamless manner.
The power that could erupt from this star and flow through the Gem Recipe of a Stellar Ruler was utterly dreadful to imagine!
And yet even this being was injured and now healing.
The Void Ruler swirling with chaos adorned a black robe and tied her hair neatly as she nodded and began to step out of the room.
"Sir Bartholomew can rest and heal without worry for now then. Please excuse the few noises of inconvenience that may occur outside of the Void Vessels shortly here. We are expecting to come across multiple enemy Void Rulers or a particularly powerful one from an Emerging Realm. We will be making them pay for killing our people by scorching down that entire Realm."
"Oh?"
Stellar Ruler Bartholomew raised his eyebrows at this for a moment before he nodded and continued meditating.
After all, it did not involve him.
The woman shrouded in particles of Chaos flickered across the Void Vessel until she appeared in a central command room where other Void Rulers were.
"We are close?"
"Only a few minutes out and we should be able to see the Emerging Realm and scan for exactly which powerhouses reside within it."
They came prepared. They even held advanced devices that could sweep across an entire Realm and notify them of the levels of power within it, with the energy signatures of Void Rulers, Sky Rulers, and Land Rulers being distinguished the easiest.
"Let us at least have a few minutes to understand what happened to the party of five sent before. Don't start the massacre too early, Alasara."
A Void Ruler with a bald head and a tight green robe spoke out succinctly as he was gazing at the woman shrouded in particles of Chaos.
Alasara!
Her brethren was among those decimated in the party of five Ambassadors of the Star Realm before them as she came seeking for vengeance and answers.
But she didn't truly care for answers as what she wanted the most was retribution.
After all, she could not bring her sister back to life!
That wasn't something that even a Stellar Ruler or someone above them could do.
"It's coming up."
Very soon, their senses spread out as they observed the allure of life leaking out of a vibrant Star Realm in the distance.
Every realm had a distinct allure of life that radiated in its surroundings, this being a signal that very few could pick up from an extremely far distance, but it was extremely visible when up close.
But they didn't even have to look far into the Emerging Realm near them as outside of its periphery, there in the void of space…they could see two Void Rulers floating with calmness and solemnity- as if they knew that they were coming!
The eyes of Alasara and others also constricted in the next moment as they saw the black robe with a unique inscription around one of the Rulers- a gorgeous young woman who had a cold gaze as if she were far above many others, as if she were royalty!
The instant they looked at her, they drew sharp breaths and called out.
"A Dark Ruler!"
…!
A Dark Ruler.
Did this mean that the Star Realm before them was already claimed under the banner of the Dark Rule?
"Hmph, even so, they could have gotten here after my sister and the other four Ambassadors. Today, it doesn't matter if it's the Dark Rule or the Beast Alliance here, blood will be spilled! Let's go!"
Alasara wasn't having any of it as in a short moment, her figure teleported away in an explosion of chaos as moments later, other Void Rulers followed.
It was an accumulation of events.
A convergence of choices that led multiple parties here.
One was a budding Ruler that had only been given a day to come in contact with Covenants of Nature, the other was an important piece of a behemoth known as the Dark Rule, and another was a collection of Void Rulers from the Star Alliance…who happened to pick up a Stellar Ruler on their way here!
Those who thrived on history would look at this point right here as the root cause for a catastrophe that would sweep across the nearby star sectors!
