Chapter 594 - 594: A New Incarnation of God Descends
Chapter 594: Chapter 594: A New Incarnation of God Descends
At this thought, Lin Xiao wasn’t one to dither, decisively connecting with his True Body. Using the Creation Rubik’s Cube as a transfer pivot, Divinity and Divine Power began to descend.
The will of this projection had already arrived; with Divinity and Divine Power in place, it could immediately transform into an Incarnation of God.
In the eyes of this unknown entity, the power of this strange life form from a Different Domain was crazily growing in that instant. It strengthened so quickly that it seemed to grow more potent with each blink; its strength doubled with a single breath, and within mere seconds, it had multiplied several times over. The pulling force emanating from the black hole also intensified correspondingly, sucking it slightly downward and causing its will to shudder with fear.
The being was contemplating whether to compromise a bit and pay a certain price to extricate itself, but before it could speak, it saw a pair of eyes, flaming like those of a demon, looking down at it, with undeniable greed shining within. A mouth filled with sharp teeth opened wide and shoved its hand inside.
“No! My master will avenge me!”
The power of balance bestowed by the Ancient Deity was disrupted, and the Rule of Circulation lost its support. The small light orb that was the plush toy ‘whooshed’ and disappeared into the black hole.
“Phew!”
Boiling from above, the Chaos Volcano erupted, piercing the space above him and leading directly into the Void. With his body occupying the entire Sun Temple, Lin Xiao took a deep breath, and an invisible layer of force slowly emerged around his body.
The black hole swallowed the plush-toy-like unknown sealed object, and it was quickly disintegrated and consumed by the terrifying force within the black hole. Naturally, the Rule of Circulation controlled by this sealed object fell into his possession.
Although his grasp of it was still rudimentary and not yet fully understood, it was certain that the Rule of Circulation was indeed one of the precursor laws to the legendary Time Law, or perhaps a small part of the Time Law itself.
Circulation refers to the perpetual, cyclical motion and change of things, the eternal cycle.
Once a cycle is established, as long as there is no external interference, it is eternal.
By mastering the Rule of Circulation, one could possess a defense that is nearly invincible among peers of the same rank.
As Divine Power continued to pour in, the Incarnation of God was about to take form; Lin Xiao slowly raised his head. He sensed the gazes of three mighty existences projected from the distant Starworld, which were none other than the God of the Sun within the Sun God Starry Sky and two other beings vying for the basic underlying laws controlled by the Sun God—one from the Nightmare realm and one from Humans.
Fortunately, there was some distance from the Starworld, and his actions were swift. The three beings had not noticed the Rule of Circulation he had consumed; otherwise, there would surely be trouble.
But that trouble was now gone, replaced by new trouble. His newly acquired strength was comparable to Weak Divine Power. Though it fell short of any of these three beings, it was now significant enough to join this tier and contest for the laws.
His sudden appearance within the Sun Temple was suspicious to everyone, and all three beings observed him with caution, even the True Deity Incarnations from the Human Camp.
For the moment, Lin Xiao did not concern himself with them. Since their struggle was reaching a climax, none of them would be able to intervene. He decided to focus on solidifying his Incarnation first.
About ten minutes later, infinite divine strength flowed through the Creation Rubik’s Cube into this special projection body, forcibly transforming the projection into an Incarnation of God, with the newly controlled law of — Creation!
Only then did he look up at the three beings and said with a slight smile:
“I merely arrived by accident, and I shall leave this instant!”
The Nightmare True God looked somewhat like one of the Ancient gods, with a massive humanoid body covered in tentacles. It seemed to doubt Lin Xiao’s words but wisely made a hollow invitation with its hand for him to leave.
The Sun God appeared as an orb of light suspended in mid-air, too far away to discern any details through the infinite Light, let alone its True Body. It seemed to have something to say but did not trust Lin Xiao, hesitating and then choosing silence.
Meanwhile, the Son of the Human Divine Realm directly sent a mental message to Lin Xiao, saying:
“Although I do not understand why you are here, this is a good opportunity. If we join forces, we can seize the Sun Godhood.”
Lin Xiao shook his head and responded:
“I truly arrived by accident, and what you are involved with is beyond me; I wish not to partake.”
This Human Camp’s Son of God realm’s Incarnation possessed a God Level of Sixth Level, and his True Body was definitely at the rank of Level 12 or 13 with Medium Divine Power. If his True Body were here, he might have cooperated, but the risks were too great with just an Incarnation—it simply wasn’t worth it.
Conversely, the Incarnation of the Nightmare True God was at a God Level of Seventh Level, and its True Body’s God Level had to be at least Level 14, only one step away from Powerful Divine Power. Coupled with the law it controlled, which was the same as the Sun God’s, success wasn’t impossible if prepared.
In such a chaotic situation where positions were unclear, it was best not to get involved. Otherwise, one might end up being exploited.
With a wave of his hand, the Tide of Chaos surged, separating the Starworld from this twisted space. The three beings, entangled with and wary of each other, did not interfere with his departure.
His form quickly shrank back to its original size, and with a casual demeanor, he walked out of the Sun Temple.
All the corrupted, twisted monsters inside the temple had died, and the connection between the temple and the Starworld was lost. It wouldn’t be long before the spatial distortion here slowly reverted to its original state.
“`
With his permission, many Descenders couldn’t wait to rush into the Temple to collect the essences and various sealed fragments from the dead twisted monsters, just because he despised them didn’t mean others would.
Li Mei, however, did not enter, but instead followed him constantly as they left the Temple area and walked along the street. She said:
“I haven’t seen Level 4 Lin Xiao for a while, and your strength seems to have grown even stronger. Are you going to Ley Kingdom to look for the Evil Rage? I have been there before and can show you the way.”
Lin Xiao glanced at her and, with a big hand, wrapped around her waist and drew her into his embrace.
Setting other things aside for now, he intended to fulfill this wish first. Without the ties left by his previous incarnation, he could leave whenever he wanted in the future, which would make returning much more convenient.
Two months later, an extravagantly decorated carriage was traveling on a dark, uneven mountain path. The sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, illuminating the path and revealing a Unihorn Monster Horse, all muscle and sinew, pulling the carriage which rocked along the rough trail. Strange sounds could be faintly heard coming from within the carriage.
Lin Xiao was sitting inside the spacious carriage reading a thick book about the three major state religions of Ley Kingdom — Slaughter and Death God, the God of Fear and Hatred, the Eternal Night God — and the various records of the Evil Small Churches.
After reading for a while, he adjusted his sitting posture, reached out with his right hand to part the waterfall-like black hair before him, and held onto the snow-white waist that kept rising and falling on his lap. His considerably larger hand nearly enveloped those snowy and soft hips as he gently lifted, pressed, and kneaded them, enjoying the exceptionally delightful touch and feel.
The carriage continued on silently, and after an undetermined amount of time, the carriage was filled with intermittent low moans. After a while, the hair parted to reveal Li Mei’s flushed face. Her body taut, she took a deep breath through parted lips and then laid trembling slightly in his arms.
“Are we arriving at Ley Kingdom soon?”
She asked, looking up while lying in his arms.
“We should be there soon!”
He parted the carriage window to look at the dark sky outside. It was daytime and the sun was in the sky, yet the world was shrouded in darkness, as if it were the middle of the night of the full moon.
This was a common phenomenon in Ley Kingdom. The three major state religions — the Churches of the Slaughter and Death God, the God of Fear and Hatred, and the Eternal Night God — ruled over Ley Kingdom. Every three days, when the Eternal Night God’s strength covered the entire Ley Kingdom and its neighboring tiny kingdoms, the world would fall into eternal night, turning day into darkness.
During this perpetual darkness, various evil creatures and monsters became most active, and the commoners living in Ley Kingdom…had already grown accustomed to it.
Ley Kingdom was a place where humans and monsters coexisted. Be it humans or monsters, as long as they worshipped the three gods, they could live there legitimately.
In this world, the gods aren’t beings enshrined by humans or other races. When the gods of this world were born, the race of humans did not yet exist. Most were beings from ancient times, and they did not discriminate against their devotees.
The distinction between True Gods and Outer Gods, as well as the Old Day Dominators, is merely a classification by humans.
Those willing to accept and protect humans are considered True Gods, those who protect both humans and monsters or Other Races are Outer Gods, and those who do not accept humans are the Old Day Dominators.
If Lin Xiao, as an Incarnation of God, were to undertake Divine Enthronement in this world, he most likely would become a True God.
But for now, he hadn’t even thought about becoming a god in this world. Although the Crystal Wall Universe was powerful enough to sustain a great divine power, it did not attract him enough. If he hadn’t been interested in the Rule of Circulation, he wouldn’t have sent down his Incarnation of God.
Although evil cults were rampant in Ley Kingdom, they did not exclude outsiders. The horse pulling the carriage was a monster he had forcibly controlled by twisting its mind; its true form was not that of a horse, but he had forcefully distorted its flesh to this shape because he needed a horse to pull the carriage.
At a glance, it was clear that this was no benevolent creature. Its fierce aura deterred all coveting gazes along the way until they reached Ley Kingdom.
The carriage emerged from the tree-shaded path and stopped at the entrance of a border town.
Two tireless Skeleton Guards examined the carriage with their Soul Fire and then awarded them a token representing permission to pass.
Upon entering the town, they saw several humans carrying a Zombie past.
The flesh of this Zombie still retained the vitality of the living, wearing an elaborate robe, probably sprinkled with plenty of spices to mask the scent of decay, emitting a pungent odor that could be detected from afar.
In Ley Kingdom, Zombies, Skeletons, and other Undead beings were the attendants of the Slaughter and Death God, possessing the same status as the living.
Wealthy and influential living persons could hire servants and guards, and so could the dead.
Of course, this was also because the Undead, who retained their original wisdom and memories after death, were all Transcendent Professionals. Ordinary people who turned into Undead after death were just as miserable, like the two Skeleton soldiers at the town entrance, doing the job of gatekeeping.
This world where the living and the dead coexisted was very unusual to Lin Xiao, something he had never seen before. He instructed the carriage to slow down so he could take a closer look.
Strictly speaking, this situation was also a reflection of the ancient Divinity of Death controlled by the Slaughter and Death God. He had previously observed the reconstruction in the Strange fragment space nurturing the fledgling forms of the Divinities of Death and Destruction. Observing more closely would benefit him.
