Chapter 13: No Flaws
The cafeteria fell silent and eyes flung in the direction of the commotion—a fresher standing up to senior-year bullies? Murmurs began spreading and this made the bullies uncomfortable.
They expected their initial approach to spook Leo and once he showed fear he would be forced to apologize publicly for the bold statement, but the situation was out of control now.
Not only did they fail to scare him, he indirectly threatened them in front of everyone. Backing away would make them laughingstocks, and they would get on Alicia's bad side. However, harassing and getting physical with a fresher—especially one with Leo's background, would not go unpunished.
The question now was what did they fear most?
The academy rules or Alicia Bernot—Leo already knew the choice they would make.
"Fools" Azakar shook his head with disappointment.
Pa!
The chubby youth grabbed Leo by the collar and tried to shove him back, but it felt like he was pushing against a solid wall. Strangely, Biggie was too focused on looking good while giving Leo a good shake-down.
Murmurs erupted in the room as he raised his fist to strike and barked at Leo.
"Who the fuck are you talking to, boy?"
Biggie was riding the wave of murmurs, empowered and emboldened by the attention, he failed to notice the sun rays filtering into the room through the window had gotten harsher.
The murmurs were silenced by a slap that crackled like thunder and boomed like an explosion. They watched Biggie's grip on Leo's collar falter while his face jerked to the left—a few teeth flying out of his mouth.
His body did what looked like a crouch before a spring, and he landed on the floor with a loud thud.
Biggie was knocked the fuck out with a slap from a fresher!
This was a big deal because Biggie was a well-known brawler who wasn't afraid to throw hands. The fat kid was a lot of things, but he wasn't weak—this only meant he fell that easily because Leo was just that strong!
Even Alicia Bernot was taken aback by the quick yet very insightful exchange—this human was not just all talks.
She watched as Leo slowly pulled out a handkerchief to wipe his face, while the other senior-year students were frozen in fear. They watched him toss the handkerchief of the fallen senior year student and a disdainful gleam in his eyes.
"In here, I'm the predator. Don't be stupid, you fat pig." Leo's voice dripped with so much disdain, that even Felix and Susan shivered—they had never seen this side of Leo.
Bam! Bam!
Loud bangs on the desk attracted everyone's attention, and it was Headmaster Brenot at the entrance with knitted eyebrows.
"Four of you, my office. Now!"
—
Leo was seated on one of the waiting chairs outside the headmaster's office with his legs crossed and arms folded, his attention was fixed on the messages on the panel.

After possessing the system for a short while, Leo had a rough understanding of how these things worked. The two devotee points he had were from Felix and Susan—they believed in him, and he fed off their faith.
Leo also gained three extra devotees after claiming he would be the first human night prefect. After the minor incident at the cafeteria, he gained 30 extra Devotees.
That meant over 30 people out of all 150 students present today were impressed by his actions and were eager to see more of him.
The number of devotees points he had determined how many faith points he earned per day. This meant he could get stronger by challenging supernatural beings and proving the superiority of the human race.
It was like getting his dream job.
"I'll give you a tip because you are putting in a lot of effort" Azakar's voice made Leo close his eyes and inhale deeply just to hide his annoyance.
"The power of faith you gain from a being is determined by the strength of the being."
Buzz!
Leo's eyelids flicked open, revealing annoyance and a slight hint of murderous intent.
"What are you trying to say?" He asked.
"I'm saying it would be much more beneficial if you represented supernatural beings and fed off their power of faith, since it would be of higher quality than humanity's power of faith."
Leo's frown deepened, but he didn't lose his composure.
"The primary purpose of acquiring this power was to protect humanity. I have no intention of switching sides just because of minor inconveniences." He responded, and Azakar nodded in understanding.
If Leo was the type to switch sides for the sake of power, he wouldn't have gained the favor of the demon lord. His pride as a human wouldn't let him represent anyone else.
But this would put him at a disadvantage against the other members of the 7 deadly sins. The war of the seven princes of hell was one that favored the swift, not sentiments.
"Sighs… I guess I have to accept you with your flaws. It doesn't matter much, since all the other sins must have their flaws as well…" Azakar sighed only to get snatched off the air by Leo.
He pulled the tiny lion towards his face and glared into its eyes before speaking.
"I am the chosen one… I have no flaws!" Leo snapped.
