The Genius Mage Was Reincarnated Into A Swordsman Family

Chapter 91

Klaus blinked again, ascending high into the night sky. His silver hair, meticulously maintained, cascaded down to the nape of his neck, catching the moonlight as he hovered above the estate. His cold blue eyes, sharp and discerning, scanned the grounds below with a sense of authority, as if he were a god surveying his domain. A silver magic circle spun slowly beneath his feet, glowing softly as it held him aloft.

Thanks to the Eyes of Ten Mantra, Klaus could detect every presence on the estate, pinpointing them with ease and clarity. It didn't take long for him to locate Helene, her delicate figure concealed in the shadows of the garden as she tried to evade the guards who were frantically scouring the grounds in search of the source of the recent commotion.

With another blink, Klaus teleported silently, materializing just a few centimeters behind Helene. She had her back to him, bent over as she examined the flowers, her bare skin glowing faintly in the moonlight. The sight of her well-formed curves caught Klaus off guard, and he quickly averted his eyes, awkwardly clearing his throat to announce his presence.

"Miss Helene," he called softly.

Helene startled, letting out a small gasp as she whipped around to face him. Her face flushed a deep red, the embarrassment evident as she tried to cover herself. Klaus felt his own face grow warm, and he quickly looked away, trying to give her some semblance of privacy.

"I'm sorry to intrude on you like this..." Klaus began, his voice faltering slightly as he took in her striking beauty. The moonlight accentuated her features, making her look even more ethereal than before. For a moment, he was at a loss for words, captivated by her.

'Damn, she is beautiful,' Klaus thought, before continuing. "I thought it might be difficult for you to sneak back in unnoticed, especially with all the guards around. I brought you some clothes, since I'm the one responsible for... burning your dress." He extended his hand, offering her the set of training clothes he had brought along.

Helene's expression softened, a bright smile lighting up her face. "That's very kind of you," she said, her voice gentle and sincere.

Klaus's heart skipped a beat at the sight of her smile, and he quickly turned around, giving her space to change. Behind him, he could hear the rustling of fabric as Helene slipped into the oversized training set he had brought.

As she dressed, Helene couldn't help but notice the warmth radiating from Klaus's body. It was strange—normally, the cold seemed to seep into her bones, an ever-present chill that she had grown accustomed to. But standing near Klaus, she felt a warmth that was both comforting and foreign, a warmth that made her heart beat a little faster.

When she was finally done dressing, Helene coughed awkwardly, signaling that she was ready. Klaus turned back around, and his eyes softened as he took in the sight of her. The training set was slightly too big for her small frame, but even so, she carried herself with an elegance that made her look regal.

"Thank you for your help," Helene said, looking up at Klaus. Though she was only fifteen, she was noticeably shorter than him, and the difference in their height made her seem even more delicate.

"It's nothing," Klaus replied, his voice gentle.

Helene extended her hand, intending to shake Klaus's as a gesture of gratitude. Klaus took her hand, and immediately noticed how cold it was—so cold, it felt like he was touching pure ice.

"You must be freezing," Klaus said with concern, his brow furrowing slightly.

"Oh no, don't worry about it..." Helene began to protest, but before she could finish, Klaus instinctively began to channel his dark flames, infusing a gentle warmth into her hand. The warmth spread quickly, seeping into her skin and gradually melting away the chill.

As Klaus looked up to meet her gaze, he was surprised to see tears welling up in Helene's eyes. Her beautiful face, usually so composed and guarded, was now soft and vulnerable, the tears glistening like jewels in the moonlight.

"Why are you crying?" Klaus asked, taken aback by her sudden emotion.

"I'm sorry... it's nothing," Helene replied, her voice trembling slightly as she tried to hide her tears. She held onto Klaus's hand tightly, unwilling to let go of the warmth that was so new and comforting to her.

Klaus continued to infuse heat into her hand for a few more minutes, watching as her tears slowly subsided. When he finally withdrew his hand, Helene looked up at him with a small, grateful smile.

"That should be good now," Klaus said softly.

"Yes, thank you," Helene replied, bowing her head slightly in appreciation.

"Come with me," Klaus said, taking the lead as they began to walk out of the garden together. The night was still, and the cool air brushed against their skin as they made their way back towards the annex mansion. Read exclusive adventures at empire

As they walked, a few guards rushed past them, but none of them stopped to question the young lord they were supposed to serve. Klaus's presence commanded respect, and they knew better than to interfere.

When they reached the entrance of the annex mansion, they were suddenly approached by Faris, Mary-Claire, and Briana. The three of them had been searching for Helene, and their faces lit up when they saw her walking behind Klaus.

"Helene!" Briana exclaimed, rushing over to her. "Where have you been? We've been looking for you everywhere! And why are you dressed like that? And... why are you with... him?" Briana's voice trailed off as she glanced at Klaus, her cheeks turning pink.

Faris, noticing that Helene and Klaus were dressed in similar attire, couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. 'Why are they dressed alike?' he wondered, glaring at Klaus with envy.

"Ah, sorry," Helene said, her expression calm despite the flurry of questions. "Young Master Klaus lent me his clothes since I wanted to train a little bit."

Because of her unique condition, Helene was always sensitive to the presence of others. Normally, being around people made her feel even colder, as if their warmth was something she could never fully grasp. But standing beside Klaus, she felt something different—a warmth that wrapped around her like a protective blanket, shielding her from the cold.

"My lady, come with me," the maid who had been with the other three children said, her tone respectful. "I'll prepare a new set of clothes for you and escort you to your room."

"Yes, thank you," Helene replied, following the maid inside. As she walked, she turned back and gave Klaus a gentle wave, her smile warm and sincere.

Klaus watched her go, feeling an unfamiliar warmth in his chest, one that lingered long after Helene had disappeared from sight.
