The Genjutsu Devil of Konoha

Chapter 80: The plan(80)

Time skip.

Seijuro could be seen with his special Jounin vest on. Don't mind it—it was basically a Jounin vest, no matter. His all-black outfit was now mostly a greenish color; he wanted to have a sandy color to his drip for an advantage on the battlefield.

You know, making himself harder to spot and so on. However, Suna Shinobi uniforms would resemble his uniform, and he didn't want to catch a stray, so he chose this green outfit instead.

Plus, the color black—even if it catches people's attention, which for someone like him who uses Genjutsu is a great thing, really—this was a desert.

And under no circumstance would he wear black.

For those wondering why Seijuro was here right now, we must rewind a couple hours.

Flashback.

Seijuro could be seen working on a seal—a seal that created an area of effect where the Kazekage's Magnet Release was ass.

And couldn't work.

However, this was proving more tedious than expected, and thus the idea was still a work in progress.

Seijuro made some of his shadow clones vanish.

WHOOSH

The sound of the Body Flicker could be heard. His hand was near his blade, and his gaze was on the person that appeared next to him.

A Jounin, if the uniform was anything to go by.

"Seijuro Kurama, the commander is requesting your presence."

Voice was sharp, calm, and clear.

"Sensei needs me," he would ponder on it for a bit. Aight then.

"Ok," Seijuro would say, to which the Jounin would vanish away. Seijuro would take his stuff, put them in a sealing scroll, and have the rest of his clones keep working on their swordsmanship.

Seijuro would walk back to the commander's camp, going through the usual checkpoints. Even if Tsunade herself called him, he still needed to go through those protocols. Hm.

Well, when he became a Jounin with enough clearance, he might be able to skip them at some point in time.

Upon entering the area, he would see all the Jounin alongside Tsunade making a battle plan.

"Commander, we have reports of Suna Shinobi making their way toward our supplies. If they are not stopped, our supply line will be completely cut off," a Yamanaka would say.

Yet at the same time, she couldn't mobilize all of her troops. What if the Kazekage attacked while she was gone? So many things to think about—the cons of being a commander of war.

Goddamn it.

"Shikaru, how are our water supplies holding?" she would ask the one Nara in the room, the man responsible for logistics, and also one lazy man being worked to death due to this grueling war.

"Our supplies are running low. Our Konoha shinobi are not used to the Land of Sand's heat, and with the constant attacks from Suna shinobi alongside the sandstorms and the poison crisis, we are running low on water. We shall run out of drinkable water in six days. If we ration it, we will be able to stay for two weeks, but that is it."

Tsunade looked annoyed. This was why no one wanted to attack the Sand—it was just not worth it. Shit was dangerous, plus it was filled to the brim with poisonous animals. Some random guy took a piss and didn't see that he was pissing on a camouflage snake. Needless to say, his meat got bit. Shit had to get ripped off.

But hey, on the good side, he was alive. He might become a monk after all of this is over—if he survives.

"How many troops can we comfortably mobilize without leaving this place defenseless against the Third Kazekage?" Tsunade would ask. She was really trying to find a way out of this mindfuckery.

"We can mobilize a good 60% of our group. They will be able to hold for a while. Prolonged battles, however, are not recommended."

"We have received reports sighting Bunpuku alongside a squad of Suna shinobi targeting our supply line."

Tsunade had a dark expression on her face—the goddamn One-Tail Jinchuriki.

She needed backup here. She couldn't handle all of this shit alone.

"Jiraiya's too far away, and Orochimaru is two weeks out. Calling Sakumo—considering the time it would take for the message to reach him—it would take roughly a month for him to get here," Tsunade would ponder out loud. All to say, they were fucked. Royally fucked.

Apparently, Iwa was using their Bijuu, so Orochimaru had his hands full.

Even the lazy Nara looked more pressed than anything. This was some BS.

Seijuro raised his hand.

"Commander, if I may ask—"

"Go on," Tsunade would say, looking at her student.

"I shall handle the Jinchuriki. I am more than confident in my ability to stall the Bijuu. As long as my seal is activated, I can keep the old man trapped in an illusion. And if worst comes to worst and he transforms into a Bijuu, I doubt the sand spirit Shukaku has any loyalty to the Sand. All I shall do is place a subtle Genjutsu on the environment—for the beast to see every Suna shinobi... as me."
