The Golem Mage

Chapter 458: Race Of Death (2).

Even if he was told that he would still see something as civilised as this, there is no way that Alec would believe that he, who had entered a unique cultivation world, would ever have the chance to see, let alone drive, something that functioned like a car.

As the countdown commenced, Alec wasted no time.

He slammed his foot down on the accelerator pedal, propelling the truck forward with tremendous momentum as he navigated the rocky terrain.

"Yes!" his team members cheered, thrilled by the unexpected lead and the sheer excitement of watching Alec drive.

Alec was in the lead when he suddenly felt a jolt from behind; another vehicle had rammed into his truck.

He noticed his speed dropping, and just ahead was a sharp turn.

Gripping the steering wheel, he attempted to drift, but a massive red monster truck emblazoned with flames on its side collided with him, sending him careening off course.

As he struggled to regain control, another vehicle took advantage of the situation, driving up the towering walls of the road, at that moment, one of the mages on the truck manned the magical machine gun mounted on their truck and opened fire on his own truck.

Tang!!!

The gun expelled bullets infused with lightning energy, streaking toward the his vehicle with enhanced speed.

Pale, from the backseat, attempted to cast an ice shield spell, only to realize that despite sensing his mana, he was unable to cast any spells.

[> Energy Shield]

Alec spoke aloud, and as if in response to his command, a transparent earth shield materialized in front of their Truck, causing the bullets to become lodged as they attempted to penetrate the car.

However, when Alec attempted to resume driving, he realized that the car was out of gas.

Glancing down at the orb where the key was supposed to be, he noticed that it was now dim and lacked the luster it had when he had infused mana into it.

As he contemplated the difficulty of infusing mana into the car and driving simultaneously, a surge of information flooded his mind, prompting him to issue immediate commands as he realised that the reason the car ran out of Mana gas that fast was because he had used created the shield from mana he put into the Orb and that was reserved as the truck gas.

"Beatrice, please infuse mana into the orb for me, Pale, infuse mana into the top of the truck hood, The rest of you, select a weapon and infuse mana into it, when you're ready to attack, let me know," Alec instructed.

As he attempted to restart the car, the engine roared back to life, but maneuvering back to the main road proved challenging as all six cars surged ahead of him.

Placing his hands on the steering wheel, Alec infused his mana into it, feeling a deep connection with every part of the car.

And he directed his mana, transforming it into earth element particles before channeling it into the tires. In an instant, the tires sprouted spikes.

With a surge of acceleration, Alec was able to drive out and return to the track, once back on course, he retracted the spikes and accelerated at full speed, closing in on the car in sixth position.

As they approached a cliff that ascended, Alec observed the driver in the fifth position boosting his car, causing the tires to ignite in flames as he maneuvered from one part of the cliff to the other side of the road.

Witnessing such a sight terrified Beatrice and the rest of the team, as they couldn't comprehend why such a race would be so brutal and dangerous.

Their inability to cast any spells left them feeling vulnerable, because even if the car were to lose its brakes, they doubted they would be able to survive.

Alec exerted himself to accelerate the car, aided by Beatrice's continuous infusion of mana into the orb.

However, he felt that their progress was sluggish, clutching the steering wheel, he channelled his mana, converting it into flame element particles and directing them into the tires and the exhaust pipe.

As he did that the sound of the truck changed and the speed surged, Alec closed in on the sixth position, nearly overtaking them.

He spotted three members of the sixth car team aiming their guns at his truck.

"Pale, ice their tires to slow them down. Arthur, distract those bastards with a barrage of bullets," Alec commanded.

Arthur cackled maniacally, seizing the magical enchanted machine gun from the back of the car and positioning himself for a clear shot at the three assailants.

The machine gun on their car was not mounted, so it had to be carried with both hands.

As Arthur pressed his right hand on the handle, he infused it with his metal element instead of earth, and flames erupted.

Ting!!!!!!

If the lightning bullet shot by the other guy had been super fast, then the bullet shot by Arthur was super lethal.

The bullets were sharp and dangerous, not only distracting the enemies from shooting, but also piercing the throat of one of the three, causing him to choke to death.

His lifeless body was pushed off the truck as the other two quickly took cover to avoid meeting the same fate.

While they were busy defending against Arthur's hail of bullets, one of their tires was hit by huge ice balls shot from the cannon on Alec's car.

Pale could be seen wiping the sweat from his head, as the magical cannon had drained a significant amount of mana from him to cast that ice ball.

The only silver lining was that it eventually helped secure the sixth position, as their monster truck blazed through with flames coming out of the exhaust pipes and the tires on fire.

It almost made Alec feel like he was the new generation of Ghost Rider as their monster truck finally flew off the cliff, leaving the team members holding their breath as the car was airborne.
