The Greece Antagonist

Chapter 205: The Minotaur's Soul Blazes Brightly (4.3k)_3

Looking at the primitive and wild landscape before him and the constantly writhing chaotic clumps around him, Luo En frowned to himself.

Tartarus, born from the chaos and void of the Greek world, is known as the [Abyss], the very essence of hell and the underworld.

Thus, it is the destination of both gods and human souls and a prison for those who committed grave and heinous acts, connecting through the River Styx to the oceans and the land.

Moreover, it is said to be the stronghold where the Titan Gods and other enemies of Zeus are detained, and lingering too long could lead to unforeseen complications.

To avoid extraneous issues, it would be best to hurry.

Luo En then took the somewhat chilly hand of Thetis, channeled the sacred fire within his body, and infused the warmth and radiance of the mortal world into this Ocean Nymph before using the faint light of the will-o'-the-wisps to confirm their direction. He then led his team member swiftly through this dangerous region.

The defensive circles of Tartarus are divided into inner and outer sections, with the outer being three layers of solid bronze walls, while the inside features misleading perceptions, suppressed authority, and a triple dark curtain filled with the air of death as an intangible barrier.

For others, the dark curtains behind the bronze walls are even more challenging to deal with.

However, the sacred fire in Luo En's hands once again illuminated their path.

In the darkness, the two of them moved forward circuitously; although the road was extensive and interconnected, it was uneven and difficult to navigate, and occasionally they would step on dry bones which, in the deadly silence, created a chilling echo.

On both sides, there were either slippery and cold cliff faces or deep valleys leading directly to the Abyss, creating a situation fraught with danger.

But with the guidance of the sacred fire and the strong physical abilities and senses of the team, after about a day and a night of exploration, they finally emerged from the dead silence covered by the triple dark curtain.

The mournful roar of the River Styx came from the nearby channel, and at this moment, the wailing of the spirits in the water also seemed somewhat melodious.

The two of them took a deep breath, their taut nerves relaxing slightly, and then they looked for a relatively flat piece of wilderness to rest for a moment.

Immediately after, Luo En and Thetis drew spells for the dispersal of evil spirits and set up camp, settling down briefly.

Standing on the bluish-gray stones, Thetis, in charge of keeping watch, looked around at the lifeless gray world and thought of the tragic state of Atlantis after it had incurred divine wrath, feeling somewhat melancholic.

Seeing that Thetis was affected by the oppressive atmosphere, Luo En stretched his limbs, clapped his hands, and handed over a jug of wine from the Magic Circle Diagram.

"Care to have a drink to warm up?"

"Sure..."

Since she was already in for a penny, Thetis didn't dwell on the matter and decisively took the jug, taking a sip of the wine to revive her spirits somewhat before speaking up to remind him.

"We had better move quickly, this place gives me a bad feeling."

Luo En nodded and, to speed up their journey, simply lifted Thetis around the waist and, activating [Divine Speed], turned into a residual shadow that pierced through the gray mist, racing across the desolate wilderness.

Soon, a rugged and steep mountain peak rose within the gray fog, towering into the clouds.

On the rugged path up the mountain, a tiny figure wearing rune shackles was pushing a Dusky Gigantic Rock towards the summit.

However, just as the rock was about to reach the peak, it uncontrollably rolled back down to the mountain's base due to some rule, generating thunderous roars along the way, seemingly taunting the prisoner in its mockingly futile effort.

Could it be him?

Luo En narrowed his eyes and approached with caution, still holding Thetis.
