Hades had long been in love with her and had executed this plan with the silent consent and assistance of Zeus.

It was also for this reason that the Underworld King was willing to remain in the sunless Netherworld, staunchly upholding Zeus's rule and not encroaching upon the authority of Olympus.

To have her son killed in unclear circumstances, to be played with and then cast aside to be used as a tool by outsiders.

"How do you know if you don't try?" Luo En spoke earnestly, then opened his outer garment, revealing the increasingly active Wheel of Hecate on his chest, and said with sincerity, "This is not only about whether Melinoe can be reunited with you and mother, but also about whether I can free myself from this shackle. So, I will do everything in my power!"

Driving Hecate out of the Netherworld would effectively sever her roots, making it much easier to confront her than it would be here.

Hades understood Luo En's intentions and, after a moment of contemplation, spoke slowly.

"Tell me, what do we need to do?"

Luo En took a deep breath and answered in a solemn tone.

"I want to take another trip to the Elysian Fields to confirm some guesses. If successful, the plan should have an eighty percent chance of working."

Hades nodded slightly upon hearing this.

"Alright, tomorrow I will send Hecate away under the pretense of a banquet."

"I will go too," the Queen of the Underworld quietly said as she gripped her husband's somewhat coarse hand tightly under the table, her gentle gaze turning toward her stepson across, her heart filled with peace.
