The Greece Antagonist
Chapter 87: Rest assured, I will take care of your wife (4k)
Thessaly Camp, after watching Hera and Thetis leave, Luo En immediately issued an alert, ordering Thessaly's remaining forces to enter a state of emergency preparedness.
The entire city, like a tightly wound machine, whether human, hero, or deity, all hurriedly rushed to their respective posts, fulfilling their sacred duties. An anxious and oppressive atmosphere permeated the city, pervaded by a sense of impending storm everywhere.
After completing the basic troop dispositions, Luo En stepped out of the camp, checking on the readiness progress of each defense line and position along the way, and helping to solve any problems encountered on the road to the Thessaly Great Temple.
Seeing the arrival of this legendary God of Wine, the priests and other temple officials of Thessaly turned around and respectfully saluted Luo En.
Behind them, in the Grand Hall that had been temporarily expanded several times over, stood not only the sculpture of Divine King Zeus but also the statues of the eleven other Olympian Gods and Memory Goddess Mnemosyne.
Due to the limitations of The Three Fates, the temple's status had become extremely important.
It was not only the foundation through which the gods collected the power of faith but also an instrument that anchored their existence in the Mortal World and amplified their Authority when they walked the earth.
Therefore, after the War God Mountain Alliance, Thessaly, which had completely sided with Athens, urgently expanded the Great Temple, transforming the original temple that solely worshipped Zeus into a Grand Temple for the worship of all Twelve Olympian Gods, and moved several deities who had made outstanding contributions to Thessaly into it to receive worship. This was to facilitate their strongest combat effectiveness when they descended upon Thessaly.
However, whether intentional or unintentional,
after the expansions and renovations, the originally most prominent and highly esteemed place of Zeus in the temple was squeezed to the very back.
Although His Majesty the King of Gods still sat on his throne, alone and supreme, his surroundings were dim and without light.
The gods who had attended the War God Mountain Alliance, without exception, gathered around Dionysus Luo En, the leading commander, bathed in a sea of brightness.
Moreover, it was unclear which architectural genius was responsible for the design that had, perhaps inadvertently, placed Luo En's statue in such a way that it partially obscured Zeus's figure, and just so happened to pair him with Queen Hera.
Upon seeing the modest olive branch crown at the base of the statue, Luo En's face darkened, instantly understanding that this was most likely the handiwork of those students from the Academy of Athens.
Aren't they just putting me in the hot seat? Chiron and Dionysus are not around, and there's less homework from the school, right?
"God of Wine, you're here? Do you have any instructions?"
The elderly High Priest interrupted Luo En's inward grumbling and came forward to inquire respectfully.
Luo En snapped back to reality, his expression grave and contemplative.
"How is the dispatched team now?"
"They are already on their way!"
The High Priest answered respectfully while ordering his subordinates to open the Star Disk situated in the center of the temple.
After a series of glowing runes flashed by, small and large points of light, like stars, emerged from a chaotic starry sky, moving in different trajectories and speeds towards Thessaly.
Luo En quickly glanced over the Star Disk, nodding slightly.
In at most a quarter of an hour, Thessaly would be fully assembled.
Hopefully...
"Boom!"
Just as Luo En was lost in thought, a violent rumble came from somewhere outside the city.
Sheesh, that was fast!
Luo En frowned and, pointing to the area marked by the Star Disk, asked the High Priest beside him,
"Where is that?"
"The Thessaly Mountains!"
The High Priest quickly responded, flipping through the dispatch records and adding gravely,
"It seems to be the area where Atalanta, the Queen of Arcadia, and the Amazon Tribe are responsible for patrolling!"
Upon hearing this, Luo En's heart sank. He was about to order reinforcements when his eyes caught sight of two stars, one gold and one silver, rapidly approaching the Thessaly Mountains on the Star Disk, and his furrowed brow relaxed.
Are both those siblings there? Then there should be no problem.

Meanwhile, in the Thessaly Mountains,
"Pff, pff, pff, pff!"
Atalanta dashed through the forest, shooting continuously; dozens of completely enraged Magic Beasts were pierced through the heart by her arrows, firmly nailed to the ground.
However, not everyone in the team had Atalanta's good fortune and skills.
An accompanying Arcadian Soldier, slightly distracted, was caught by a serpentine tail that emerged from the shadows and wrapped around his ankle, dragging him out of the military formation. Several hungry Magic Beasts growled and pounced on him, biting his limbs or tearing open his belly, cruelly feasting upon the still-living Soldier.
The bloody scene and the dying Soldier's screams sent chills down the spines of the patrollers.
"Pff, pff!"
Two arrows flew out, striking precisely through the head and heart of the Soldier, putting an end to his unbearable agony.
Then Atalanta lowered her Sky-Piercing Bow and ordered solemnly,
"The herd belongs to the Giant Spirit Clan, their main forces are likely behind us. You go first, follow the signal toward the Thessaly Defense Line. I'll cover the rear!"
The Soldiers, who had been baptized by several wars, quickly responded, immediately raising their Spear and Shield, building up Magic Defense, and hastening to retreat out of the dense forest.
However, they hadn't gone far when giant fissures opened up in the mountainsides, and several dark-skinned, towering giants leapt out from underground, wielding clubs, warhammers, and stone axes, swinging at the Arcadian army's formation.
After several impacts, the barrier erected by the accompanying Mages shattered on cue, dozens of Soldiers bearing Shields were swept away by the overwhelming strength of the Giant Spirit Clan, crashing heavily against stone walls and tree trunks, turning into heaps of flesh.
