The hivemind is conquering for me?

Chapter 456: More Chapters!

After leaving the Archons location, Rekosh walked for hours past the north border till he was at the coast, he then waited a short while before a boat arrived for him with an Altax driver.

Rekosh then placed a bag over his head to keep the location of the Altax cell a secret until he was off the boat and inside.

After taking off the bag, he didn't care one bit about the state of the cell, he simply picked up an encrypted communicator and called his master.

Most likely using her incredible power to have an understanding of when he was calling, Aeletha answered mere seconds after he engaged the call. "Ah Rekosh, is that you dear? I have been dreadfully worried about you. Tell me, are you safe?"

Rekosh was stunned for a moment, he had never heard the Seer speak so nicely to him, she must have really appreciated his efforts. "Yes my Seer, I am safe, your concern for me has moved me."

A soft chuckle emerged on the other end of the line before Aeletha continued. "So, is the Archon with you now Rekosh? I am most eager for his arrival. Rekosh left an audibly obvious pause for a moment before managing to get out.

"Actually my Seer, the Archon said he could not make it now, but said he would be willing in five or six Spartari calendar months after his birthday." Upon hearing those words, Aeletha dropped her charade. "What do you mean he could not make it? Does he not know who I am? You explained my position in the Coalition correctly?"

Rekosh's maw felt particularly dry at this moment, but still replied. "Y-yes my Seer, he even mentioned your ascension and called you a 'god', yet he still declined as he mentioned he had to attend that inferior Psionic college Spartari has on its seventh Ecumenopolis."

There was a small pause before Rekosh was forced to move his ear hole away from the communicator. "A SCHOOL! I AM BEING STOOD UP BECAUSE HE HAS TO ATTEND AN ENROLLMENT! The man can beat colossal entities that I couldn't, survive on Bastion for who knows how long after we left and managed to safely get away through the hungers maw? And yet he thinks he needs to attend lectures on Psionics? I could have taught him everything he ever wished to know about the subject and yet..."

A sudden pause in her conversation made Rekosh seek clarification that she was still there. "My Seer? Are you there?" Rekosh awaited another couple of moments before he heard a reply. "You have done well Rekosh, return back to me with utmost haste." Is all she said, just as she was about to end the call, Rekosh suddenly blurted something out. "My Seer, wait!" He yelled, causing Aeletha to frown.

"You don't yell at your Seer, Rekosh. Speak. Now." Rekosh gulped at Aeletha's harsh tone, but continued. "My Seer, there were three females with the Archon when I arrived. Sophia, the leader of the club, The sister Orchid, who Apollo has successfully performed the coveted action of pairing with a clutch mate as he was clearly intimate with her and a third woman whose name I did not manage to get, but she knew your name before I managed to say it aloud, she had a darker skin tone that you see on some of our coalitions humans, especially from that particular desert world, and green eyes that shone with a greener Psionic energy when she met my gaze at one point. She mentioned your name playfully and called you her 'Psionic sister.'"

There was another pause after Rekosh said his piece before Aeletha spoke up once more. "Is there anything else you wish to report, Rekosh? Now is the time to do so."

Rekosh then spent the next ten minutes explaining in detail everything he and Apollo talked about, down to the simple offering of a beverage. After he was done, Aeletha nodded her head satisfied

"I see... thank you for bringing all of this to my attention Rekosh, now I repeat myself, return back to me with utmost haste."

Aeletha then ended the call and closed her eyes meditatively. 'So he has a foreseer with him? That would explain why my attempts to scry information about him comes up empty. Most interesting...'

That was not the only thing she found interesting, Rekosh had managed to gain a large amount of intelligence on the Archon. Where he was, where he was going to be, how long for, when his birth date was and even proof that the Archon was raised outside of the current Spartari dogma like she assumed.

For starters, her Rekosh would be dead right now if Apollo was anything like the rest of the barbarians, just showing that he was able to have a rational conversation with Rekosh and Rekosh said nothing bad about the Archon meaning he was not offensive in any way was practically a miracle akin to her ascension.

Speaking of her ascension, Apollo called her a god? Aeletha smiled, very few in Spartari know about that word, mostly these days it were mercenaries who worked borders and outer rim who hear weird stories from more uncivilised worlds.

The very fact he used the very archaic word for someone of great power just proved to Aeletha that whoever this teacher of Apollo was, she was no ally of the current Spartari regime and could perhaps become an ally in the future?

Also, despite the fact that Aeletha was in all practices, stood up by Apollo, she was no longer upset about that, in fact, she was smiling. The Archon, her possible future something, knew of her power, her influence and yet still didn't respond to her beck and call immediately?

She knows literal trillions who would eat their own genitals just to gain an audience with her, Yet this human has the audacity to blow off her invitation? She found the action oddly alluring, she wasn't used to being told 'no' after all.

Aeletha then sat back in her chair and brought out her tactile pad in order to add everything she had just been informed of into her character sheet of Apollo. As she was writing things down, she naturally mused over every piece of information.

She wasn't surprised about the half sister being intimate with Apollo, to her it seemed natural, power attracts after all. Sophia was also well known to be a paramour of Apollo, yet she was still clueless how that woman had a connection to the Archon?

That left the mysterious foreseer as a possible bridge between Sophia and this mystery teacher of Apollo. Still, Aeletha felt like there was a big piece of the puzzle of Apollo that was missing that she just could not understand.

She could always invite this 'sister' of hers to try and unravel their futures together, but from her last experience with that intelligent foreseer the hunger had... She still got chills thinking about that creature... Onyx...

She shook her head before she could get goosebumps. She didn't want interaction with any foreseers for a long time to come, she did not want to learn things she didn't want the answers to.

After logging all the information she could recall, she looked over her tactile pad another time and smiled. An abundance of information on the Archon. Such a simple task as sending someone to go talk to him gained so much more information than hiring spies and intelligence gatherers.

She actually enjoyed that piece of knowledge as it was like the Archon was a rare, yet open book. A closely guarded secret that only so few have read the contents of. She was eager to read the rest of the pages, but it appears her story of Apollo was serialising, A few months more waiting as he attends such a backwater education was fine by her, she could change the way she thinks after all, she could tap into the 'time is meaningless' portion of her immortal body and have those five to six months pass by in the blink of an eye if she was truly desperate.

However, she wouldn't do that as despite her patience, she was still hungry for more information, more chapters of the story of Apollo. She yearned for it, she would pay top money for the slightest details, the next page in the saga. She wanted to know everything about the Archon before their first meeting, so she could understand exactly the type of alien he is.

Aeletha put down her pad and picked up a communicator from her desk drawer. She knew where, when and for how long Apollo was going to be. She could use that information to call in her sleeper agents, her spies, her turncoats and traitors. She would get as many individuals as possible as close to the target as she could, heck, she would be fine with honeypots at this point. She was addicted, she needed to know more!

She had to know more!
