The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1427: New Outer Pack Members

Moments earlier before the departure.

"Sixty percent of the success I achieved at the Bloodstone Crater was thanks to you, Vivian," Rex said as he sat on a chair, viewing the two born Werewolves transforming slowly into a Human. "As promised, I will accept both of you into my Silverstar Pack, becoming members of the Outer Pack"

Vivian was the one who identified Prince Alaric as a candidate and also found the Bloodstone Crater.

As a Werewolf, giving up the grave of the Great Luna must’ve been very hard.

Such an act must’ve induced a mental toll on her inside.

Because of that, Rex wasn’t going to go back on his words of accepting them into his pack.

Vivian and Jarvald welcomed the sensation of their bodies being stripped of their feral characteristics in reverence. Being on the run inside Human territory, fighting for their survival, and deciding to take the risk of venturing out to search for Rex has paid off for them completely.

Now, the two were blessed with power and became a part of possibly the strongest Werewolf Pack.

Since the others were out doing their own missions, the castle is empty and I can’t have that. Not with Calidora being that weak and fragile. Giana and Ryze are around but there’s no harm in having more protection.

Rex glanced to the side, seeing Bevryth standing beside the door.

Once the head of a noble family of the Dark Elves, the Aldri Family—she was now nothing but a maid.

It was the first time Rex saw her properly, Bevryth was usually tending to Naela.

But now that Naela wasn’t around, she participated with the others in taking care of the castle.

"Come…" Rex called commandingly, gesturing for her to approach.

Startled, Bevryth’s body trembled but she quickly recovered and approached.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Do you need me for something?" She asked, her voice tender and meek.

Despite already being accustomed to the castle, the trauma Kyran inflicted on her seemed to be fresh in her mind—and it was for the best. Rex leaned back on the chair to look at her, "Tell me, your family… is there among them who still bore bad intentions toward me and my empire? Perhaps, angry for what Kyran did"

"N- No!" Bevryth quickly answered, shaking her head. "There’s no such person, Your Majesty"

"I’ll be leaving the castle, there are matters I need to attend to," Rex clarified, shrugging his shoulders and leaning forward to emphasize the word he was going to say. "I needed to make sure the castle will be safe while I’m away, and I have no problem decapitating all of you right now if I deem you and your family a threat"

Almost instantly, Bevryth sunk to her knees.

"No such thing, Your Majesty!" She answered, keeping her head down and gaze on the floor—only brave enough to view Rex’s feet. "I can assure you, my family wanted nothing more than to amend our mistakes. We only wanted to serve you and your pack, bringing no harm to our kingd- the Dark Elves!"

Rex looked down at her, his face a mask of stoicism.

He took a sip of the drink on the table slowly before placing it down on the table again.

A pause happened once he placed down the glass.

A pause which made Bevryth’s heart pound inside her chest, dying of fearful anticipation.

Just then, she could hear the light creaking sound of the wooden chair as Rex leaned forward slowly.

Her fingers pressed against the floor, trying to ease the turmoil inside.

"Can I trust you, Lady Bevryth?" Rex finally asked.

Upon hearing this, Bevryth bowed deeper as if she wanted to push the ground beneath her with only her head, "I’m no lady, Your Majesty, and you can absolutely trust me. I already accepted my fate the moment I came to your empire" Your next journey awaits at NovelBin.Côm

"Good," Rex nodded. "Keep an eye on your family. I want an unbiased view. Can you do that?"

Bevryth’s body tensed, she didn’t expect to be asked to do this.

However, if spying on her own family would atone for her mistakes, she was willing to do it.

"Yes, I’ll try my best," She nodded, accepting the role.

Once she said that, Rex dismissed her before focusing back on Jarvald and also Vivian.

Compared to what they looked before, feral in every single way, the two were now changed for good.

Jarvald turned into an old man with a muscular frame, sculpted by countless conflicts that exact many permanent tolls. His ashen-gray hair framed a face both striking a severe, marked by a jagged scar that slashed across his left eye, a reminder of a brutal past.

His storm-gray eyes held a hint of sharpness—not sharply menacing but sharply serene.

A spiraling scar coiled up his right arm, starting from his forearm and twisting its way to his shoulder.

On the other hand, Vivian was exactly as what Rex depicted if she were a Human.

Her presence radiated an air of calculated poise, each detail of her features exuding a sharp intelligence.

Similar to Jarval, she seemed middle-aged but was still fit with short black hair framing a face of perfect symmetry, with sharp cheekbones and a finely sculpted jawline that hinted at a disciplined mind. Pale red eyes perfected her appearance, a pair that seemed to be constantly evaluating the world around her.

Moreover, she bore no scar other than a small cut on her chin.

Feeling Rex’s gaze, Vivian lifted her hand to cover the small cut—almost as if she was ashamed.

If she were a Human, her face would be perfect to be an impartial jurist.

<Congratulations for expanding the Silverstar Pack further!>

<Jarvald and Vivian have been added and registered as Outer Pack members!>

Rex hinted towards the mirror to the flowing water on the side of the small bridge, gesturing for them to check how their appearance had changed. Hesitantly, the two stood and went to the side. Looking at their own reflection on the water’s surface, both their hands unconsciously reached for their faces.

"So this is how I would look like as a Human…" Vivian mumbled, silently.

She was pleasantly surprised and wasn’t disappointed inside.

Although even beginning to picture what she would look like as a Human was out of her imagination, for some reason, she found her look now perfect. She almost wanted to change nothing about her face, except for the cut on her chin, of course.

Jarvald turned his head left and right, "I guess if I’m a Human, I would be considered old"

Once the two inspected their own selves, their eyes naturally met each other.

"Hmph, how is that fair? You don’t look your age at all" Jarvald pointed at her face, slightly annoyed.

Upon hearing this, Vivian giggled, "Don’t worry, even if you’re old, you still looked handsome"

Just then, Rex cleared his throat—pulling their attention back to him.

For a brief moment, the new form didn’t bother them and instead, enthralled them—so much so that the two forgot that Rex was sitting behind them. Realizing that fact, they quickly scrambled back and kneeled in front of Rex.

"We’ll devote ourselves further for the pack, Your Majesty" Jarvald said firmly.

Rex nodded, "Get accustomed to your Human body. Once I come back, I will give back your Werewolf forms so that you can transition between forms easily like me. The rune I branded on both of you is the Unity Rune, you will be stronger as long as you fight together"

As he said that, Rex stood up and headed for the door.

Seeing this, however, made Jarvald stand up—his eyes widened.

"Your Majesty, do you mean…" He said but stopped mid-sentence, confused and unsure.

"The Silverstar Pack is not like a normal Werewolf pack," Rex explained, glancing over his shoulder. "And for that, you two can still be together. Vivian is your Luna, and she will stay your Luna. No need to fear, I will not intervene"

Jarvald’s eyes widened when he heard this.

He was expecting Vivian to be taken away from him, considering that it was a custom in the Werewolf society for the females to only mate with the Alpha. But turns out he was wrong, and for the first time ever, he was pleased that he was wrong.

"T- Thank you, Your Majesty," Jarvald said, his tone was now more resolute.

Rex waved his hand dismissively, "Thanked her, she’s the reason I accepted you to the pack. Anyway, your first task is to protect and take care of Calidora until I return. This is your first task, do not make me regret accepting both of you into the pack"

Once he gave them their task, he opened the door and left the drawing room.

Vivian stepped forward and grabbed Jarvald’s hand, intertwining their fingers together gently.

"We made it," Jarvald muttered, the panic, pain, and risk had been worth it.

Feeling elated, Vivian smiled and nodded, "Now, we’re going to aim for the Inner Pack. We can do it"

Before going to the training chamber arena, Rex visited multiple places.

Preparing for his departure, he needed one thing—gold.

Rex had asked the System if there was any other way that he could enter the Spirit Realm without the need to strengthen his soul too much. And as always, the System has the answer but the cost to obtain that information was extremely expensive.

It costs 100 million gold, that’s something that Rex couldn’t fork out right now.

To purchase something that expensive, he might also need to empty the exchequer of other kingdoms.

He could do that but other than inciting spite, he also didn’t have the time.

However, the cost substantially changed when Iris mentioned one important piece of information.

’You could also let the Spirit Realm morph you, turning you into a spirit…’

That’s what she said to him.

Upon learning of that information, the cost to purchase the information—from the System changed, it went from 100 million gold to a mere million gold. Naturally, Rex instantly purchased the information without much thought.

He was fretting over the way to enter the Spirit Realm and Iris somehow helped him indirectly.

Iris said that she contemplated his predicament and remembered something plausible to do.

It wasn’t something that everyone could do, using this method would be extremely painful—as it was essentially letting the Spirit Realm extract the soul and morph it into an actual spirit. Even though the requirement seemed to be light, only pain, one shouldn’t underestimate it.

Across the entire history of the Dark Elf Kingdom, only three people passed—all of them are kings.

One of these three was the Dark Elf Origin herself.

Sometimes, the Mother of Dark Nature asked for spirit tributes.

And because of that, the Dark Elves needed to go to the Spirit Realm to retrieve it.

Or at least, this happened during the early times of the Dark Elves.

Those who tried to use this method to cross into the Spirit Realm were tens of thousands, but more than half died from shock while the rest were scarred for life. Due to the severity, this method was banned as the chances of death were too high.

But Rex could definitely do it, he’s not someone who folded from pain.

Even though the only requirement was his tolerance for pain, Rex had to prepare gold.

From the System, using this method would impair his strength in the Spirit Realm greatly.

If that was the case, finding Devo and striking a deal with the Spirit Emperor would be ten times harder.

However, with certain items and also the System’s help, this could be partially avoided.

And to do that, Rex needed gold—a lot of gold.

I hope the elemental stones from the Vortex Pit of Elements and the items in the treasury chamber can give me enough gold. Rex thought as he stepped out of the castle, heading to Vortex Pit of Elements in a hurry as Iris would come very soon.
