Chapter 66: Chapter 66: The Demonic Cultivator & The Three-Eyed Demon Ancestor’s Plan
The Technological Realm was thriving under the Heavenly Mystical Sect's rule, but peace was never meant to last. Deep in the shadows, a dark force stirred one that had long lurked in the corners of the cybernetic world.
A monstrous demonic cultivator, known as Void Devourer, had begun his reign of terror. Unlike conventional demonic cultivators who absorbed Qi, he consumed humans, refining their essence into living weapons. The streets of the realm whispered of his atrocities, of entire districts disappearing overnight only to return as cybernetic monstrosities under his command.
Meanwhile, high above in the ruins of an ancient data fortress, a pair of glowing, sinister eyes opened.
The Three-Eyed Demon Ancestor had arrived.
The Grand Scheme
"This realm is weak. Filled with feeble mortals who think their machines can replace true power," the Demon Ancestor sneered, his voice echoing through the void. "But if I consume this place first... If I become the master of its energy... Then even that Sect Leader will stand no chance against me!"
A shadowy figure knelt before him Void Devourer. "Ancestor, let me pave the way. I shall turn this realm into your personal weapon."
"Do as you wish," the Demon Ancestor chuckled. "But do not fail me."
Chan Li, the Observer?
Little did they know, someone was already watching from a nearby rooftop, sipping a cup of spirit-infused cola with a bored expression.
Chan Li took a slow sip, shaking his head. "I swear, these villains need to be more creative. It's always devour this, destroy that. No one just starts a profitable business anymore."
His disciple, Zhang Wei, gawked. "Sect Master, should we not stop them immediately?! They're about to plunge the realm into chaos!"
Chan Li waved him off. "Calm down. Let's give them some time. Maybe they'll entertain me first. I need some amusement."
And entertained he was.
The City Burns And Chan Li Laughs?
Void Devourer made his move. He unleashed his creations half-human, half-machine abominations that tore through buildings with deadly precision. The once-thriving city of lights became a battlefield, as explosions and cybernetic beasts ravaged the streets.
The technological warriors fought bravely, but it was hopeless.
The Three-Eyed Demon Ancestor grinned. "Foolish mortals. Bow before your new master!"
Then a voice interrupted. A casual, bored voice.
"Sorry, did you say new master? Pretty sure this place already has one. And he doesn't like people messing with his investments."
The Demon Ancestor turned and there he was. Chan Li. Sitting on a floating throne of technological energy, drinking another bottle of cola.
Void Devourer roared, "You dare look down on me?!"
"Not really," Chan Li mused. "You're just not that tall."
The demonic cultivator lunged. BOOM! The entire city shook as he unleashed a massive dark-energy blast.
Chan Li yawned, raising a single finger. The attack froze mid-air, the dark energy compressing into a tiny, harmless spark before flickering out.
Void Devourer's eyes widened in horror. "W-What are you?!"
Chan Li smirked. "A businessman. And you? Just another obstacle in my expansion plans."
The One-Sided Battle Begins
What followed was a massacre but not in the way Void Devourer had planned.
Chan Li dodged every attack effortlessly, toying with him like a cat with a helpless mouse. At one point, he even grabbed a technological tablet and started checking property listings, completely ignoring the fight.
The disciples watched in stunned silence. Zhang Wei muttered, "Sect Master is looking at real estate in the middle of a battle?!"
Chan Li clicked his tongue. "Well, someone has to rebuild after this mess. Might as well buy some land before prices drop."
Void Devourer, now furious, unleashed his ultimate technique "Void Apocalypse Devour!" a move so terrifying it had wiped out entire sects in the past.
Chan Li sighed. "So dramatic."
With a flick of his wrist, he redirected the attack straight at the Three-Eyed Demon Ancestor.
The Plot Backfires
"W-What?!" the Demon Ancestor howled as he was sucked into the very void he had sought to control. "You scheming brat! You planned this all along!"
Chan Li shrugged. "Nah, you just positioned yourself in a very convenient place. You did this to yourself."
The void collapsed, swallowing both the ancestor and Void Devourer with it. The sky cleared, and the city though damaged was safe once more.
Chan Li stretched. "Alright, time to start rebuilding. And by rebuilding, I mean profiting." He turned to his disciples. "First order of business: Monopoly. Buy up everything!"
Zhang Wei hesitated. "Sect Master… should we not focus on protecting the realm first?"
Chan Li grinned. "That is protecting it. If I own everything, no one else can destroy it. See? Genius."
The disciples sighed. The Heavenly Mystical Sect had once again saved the realm, though in a way no one quite expected.
And Chan Li? He was already counting his future earnings.
