The Invincible Son-in-law

Chapter 39: I Want to Eat You!

Li Jingyi listened to his tone, squinting her eyes and staring at him, as if she couldn't believe her ears.

"Are you really that righteous?" Li Jingyi smiled slightly, pursing her lips.

"Of course, I am a steadfast Communist fighter..." Lin Hao replied with a serious look.

"Stop!" Li Jingyi raised her hand to stop him, then burst out laughing, saying, "Stop pretending in front of me, tell me honestly, what's the deal with your relationship?"

"Not good at all, that bastard is always targeting me," Lin Hao responded immediately.

"Alright, I know what to do now. Go prepare for the meeting," Li Jingyi waved her hand.

"Okay, boss." Lin Hao immediately bowed politely and walked out in style.

On Monday morning, there was still the routine county committee meeting, and in the afternoon, there was a democratic activity meeting, spending almost the entire day in meetings.

Lin Hao was busy running around and didn't dare to flirt with Li Jingyi, just that Liu Tingting, the voluptuous lady, was constantly eyeing him, seemingly wanting to inquire about her brother.

Near the end of the workday, Li Jingyi called Lin Hao to her office.

Lin Hao thought that the beautiful secretary might be feeling itchy and needed his help to scratch, but unexpectedly, Li Jingyi had a serious matter at hand.

"Lin Hao, what do you think about the Yuxiang Residence project brought up in today's meeting?" Li Jingyi asked.

Lin Hao suddenly recalled that in his past life, the Yuxiang Residence project was a tourism and residence project introduced to Wucheng County by Mayor Zhou Banghuai and handed over to Executive Deputy Mayor Zhao Tingshen. However, if he remembered correctly, this project was a big pitfall.

Later, due to project engineering and environmental issues, it even took down Executive Deputy Mayor Zhao Tingshen, while Zhou Banghuai remained unscathed.

"Secretary Li, if I may speak frankly, this project is a big pitfall. You must not get involved, or else you'll get burned!" Lin Hao said in a serious tone.

"Are you saying that Zhou Banghuai handed this project to me as a trap?" Li Jingyi frowned.

"The Yuxiang Residence, as a tourism residence project, was originally a good project after the pandemic. However, the partnered group has issues, and there are major environmental hurdles. If mishandled, it will pollute our Wuding River. It's better not to get involved," Lin Hao threw out a few reasons to dissuade Li Jingyi from taking over.

The Wuding River flows through Wucheng County, and the Yuxiang Residence project is to be built by the river, which will later include dining, likely causing river pollution. CheckforthelatestupdatesonMyVirtualLibraryEmpire(M-VL-EMP-YR).

However, if businesses are strictly controlled, the pollution problem shouldn't be too significant.

"If it pollutes the Wuding River, then let the Environmental Protection Bureau enforce stricter checks. As long as the environmental assessment passes, it could still boost Wucheng County's economy," Li Jingyi mused.

Actually, the pollution issue in the past wasn't significant; however, buildings constructed by the river collapsed, causing the entire project to be abandoned.

Not only did it fail to boost Wucheng County's economy, but the government ended up paying quite a bit in compensation for the losses, leaving it as a dead-end project.

Lin Hao didn't know how to explain further to Li Jingyi and could only say, "Sis, if you trust me, don't get involved."

"Alright, I trust your words, I won't touch this project." Li Jingyi surprisingly agreed readily.

Honestly, she didn't know why she trusted him so much. Could it be because they shared a relationship beyond friendship?

Thinking back to being brought to multiple climaxes by this rascal, Li Jingyi felt something twitching between her legs, as if celebrating.

Lin Hao felt as long as the project didn't fall into Li Jingyi's hands, it didn't matter who took over; that would be Zhou Banghuai's problem.

"Secretary Li, what's the deal with Luo Zhijun?" Lin Hao asked casually.

"Luo Zhijun's issue needs further investigation to see if there's any new evidence. Why? Are you concerned about your brother-in-law too?" Li Jingyi teased with a smile.

"It's not me who's concerned, it's the sister-in-law worried about her husband, asking me to help gather information," Lin Hao didn't hide it.

"Tell her to trust the organization. It won't wrong a good person nor let a bad one off." Li Jingyi said with a smile.

"I certainly trust the organization," Lin Hao responded seriously.

"Where are you heading after work?" Li Jingyi asked.

"Why? Is Secretary Li treating me to dinner?" Lin Hao grinned mischievously.

"I heard your wife went back to her parent's house, so there's no one to cook for you?" Li Jingyi laughed.

"Sis, how about I go to your place for a meal?" Lin Hao's mischievous eyes roamed over her, clearly having ulterior motives.

"You little rascal, what are you looking at?" Li Jingyi glared at him.

"Sis, I want to eat you!" Lin Hao grinned wickedly.

Li Jingyi knew this rascal wanted to mess with her again, and thinking of the thrilling pleasures, her heart itched.

"You brat, how do you want to eat me?" Li Jingyi gave him a sidelong glance, her gaze flirtatious.

Lin Hao glanced at the closed door, then walked behind her and slid his big hand into her blouse, directly grasping her full, rich mounds.

"What... what are you doing? This is the office!" Li Jingyi quickly grabbed his mischievous hands.

"Sis, it's after work. Most people have gone home. What are you afraid of?" Lin Hao continued to rub inside her blouse.

"You brat, I need to get off work," Li Jingyi dared not let him continue his mischief, immediately got up to push him away, and ran out with her phone.

This is an office; if caught by someone, she'd lose all her face and reputation.

Thus, Li Jingyi ran off, heading towards Building No. 2, wanting to quickly hide back home.

Honestly, if they were at home, she'd definitely obey and let Lin Hao mess with her. But in the office, it's a no-go.

It's a matter of principle.

Lin Hao watched as Ms. Jingyi fled in panic and didn't immediately chase after her. Instead, he returned to the office to finish his work.

Suddenly, the phone rang, surprisingly it was Su Muyun calling, which made him a bit happy.

"Lin Hao, where are you?" Su Muyun asked.

"I'm still in the office, what's up?" Lin Hao replied.

"What's the situation with the brother-in-law?" Su Muyun pressed.

"There shouldn't be any major issues. Dad should know, right!" Lin Hao figured the Su family elder as the people's congress director should have his information channels.

"Dad's hypertension flared up, and he didn't attend today's standing committee meeting. Didn't you notice?" Su Muyun said angrily.

"What? Hypertension? Really? What's the situation now?" Lin Hao asked with concern.

Actually, today's standing committee meeting only involved a few senior committee members, and he wasn't qualified to attend, so naturally, he didn't notice whether the Su family elder was present or not.
