Chapter 91: The Happenings Outside
While Akasha and the others were busying themselves with becoming stronger time outside of The Sanctuary kept moving. It had been about 6 months since Dean Calisto met with the six guardians of Kalpa. When he returned, he sent word to summon Jovian to his office, but apparently, he has been missing. Not even his instructor knew where he was.
After doing some digging, he found out he was last seen with Liora's students. Seeing this he didn't worry too much he decided to meet with Liora when the time presented itself. And today was the day for that.
Currently in the office of Calisto, the two of them were sitting across from each other. Liora was casually sipping tea while Calisto flipped through some books. He stopped after a few minutes and asked.
"Do you know where Jovian Savant is?"
Liora sat her cup of tea down on the table in front of them and replied simply.
"Yes, during the trip to the secret realm he bonded well with the group, so they decided to cultivate together."
"Oh? How is the progress coming? We have 6 months left before we begin with our plans." Calisto asked.
Hearing this Liora wanted to shrug her shoulders and speak
'I'm just as clueless as you!'
Because truthfully, she didn't know what any of their progress looked like. She could easily enter The Sanctuary and find out, but she wanted them to focus.
She also wanted to be surprised a bit.
Thinking this she casually replied without showing any signs of falsehood.
"They've made great progress. Even you will be surprised when you see their ranks in 6 months."
She said this while thinking
'Although I'm not sure how far they have come, but I know for certain it won't be anything small.'
Dean Calisto nodded his head hearing this. He then pulled out the storage ring and tossed it to her.
"This was given to me by the guardians, they told me to hand them to Jovian. Since he's with your students you can handle it for me." He said as he began flipping through his book again.
This made Liora raise her eyebrows.
"Is there something special about him?" She asked while eyeing the rings in her hand.
"That I'm sure of, although I don't know what exactly. I do know that those six won't pay attention to something unimportant." Calisto said.
"Interesting.... Well, alright I will deliver them."
As she said that got up and left the room. Calisto nodded his head and continued reading his book.
-----
Inside of one of the student dorms was a young man with red hair. He was sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed. This person was Krax Alale. His eyes fluttered open and when they did a light ripple of power went throughout the room. When this happened heard a familiar sound
*Ding!*
[Congratulations Host on breaking through into the Rebirth rank!]
*Ding!*
[Reward - Rule Stones]
*Ding!*
[New Task: Reach Middle stage Rebirth rank - 6 Month time limit. Reward - ??]
Seeing the screen in front of him he grinned. After the announcement of the expedition his system took the opportunity to give him a new task. In 6 months, he was able to go from Late Ultimate Core to Early Rebirth Rank.
Compared to most this is considered a genius among geniuses.
After taking out the rule stones he immediately began to absorb them. Right now, he only needed to focus on increasing his strength and build intel. The first step of his plan was already complete and in 6 months he would began step 2.
Although he had his own Titan race and the Imperial Titan Family as his allies, he still wanted too careful. So, on the expedition he planned to set up a secret force that only he would know about. He would help them with materials he saved from his system and slowly build his forces until it was time.
With this in mind he diligently absorbed the stones.
----
In another part of the Academy someone else had similar thought to Krax. This person was sitting on a couch looking at the ceiling in a daze. Her blue hair hung off the back of the couch flowing wildly. While her blue eyes seemed unfocused as if she were thinking.
This was Skye Astra the princess of Humans.
She was currently in deep thought about the upcoming expedition.
'In 6 months, the prelude to everything truly begins. I need to find some allies quick, or everything will be brought to ruin again.' She thought silently.
She was a regressor and in her previous life she died during the Supreme Golden Age. In her past life she experienced a timeline in which the Titans won. Kalpa was caught off guard when the Titans attacked. They came prepared as if they knew everything about Kalpa already.
After a long war between Kalpa and The Titans and their allies the races of Kalpa began to lose. When things finally got desperate a few hundred beings from different races were sent away. Skye Astra were one of these people.
When they left, they were heartbroken, but they thought things would eventually get better.
Oh, they couldn't be more wrong.
200 years after the war on Kalpa the survivors were able to make to a planet under the Galactic Commissions banner. Here they experienced a brief peace before more wars kicked off. Skye was no longer a princess here, but she was a war general. Starting from an ordinary soldier she carved a path full of the blood of her enemies.
For over 1,500 years she fought in countless wars that seemed to never end. In her last battle she died like a warrior would.
On the battlefield with her spear gripped tightly in hand.
But that wasn't her ending, it was only the start. Waking back up before everything kicked off, she had an advantage.
And this time she wouldn't have to escape and leave her planet to its doom.
