The Laziest System: Sign-Up System

"Kehahahah! More! More!"

I grin and swing my sword at the incoming Oni, who charges at me like the berserker that she is. I follow her movement using a combination of all my sword techniques. I move around and keep counter-attacking when I see an opening.

Fire comes out of my sword and Ibaraki also has her flaming fist to meet all my attacks head-on.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!"

I release a massive torrent of wind toward Ibaraki. However, she is grinning and swinging her claws instead of dodging or blocking. Our two attacks meet and collide with each other. It creates a massive explosion that destroys the trees around us.

"Kehahaha! You are really great, Ryan. Let's get even more wild! Come on–"

Before she can finish her words, the two of us can hear a massive explosion in the distance, and we can feel a wave of demonic energy coming from that explosion. I look at Ibaraki and say.

"Do you want to check it out?"

"Yes. They disturb our fight, and they deserve to die. Disturbing a fight between Oni is a sin."

The two of us run through the forest and follow the source of the demonic energy. When we get out of the forest, I can see two people fighting. It is a fight between two people. The first one is a beautiful woman with white hair and red eyes, and fighting her is a giant humanoid creature with a human body and the body of a scorpion.

The two of them clash together, but we can see that the woman is losing. The reason? There are a lot of demonic beasts attacking her from all sides, and she also needs to fight the scorpion man at the same time.

"Oh? The half-blood is fighting, and it looks like she is starting to use her Oni blood."

And she is right. I can see Tomoe's horn grow as her power grows as well.

"Should we help her?"

"You take the demonic beasts, and I will take the scorpion man."

Before I can say something, she has already joined the fight with a war cry and left me alone. I release a sigh and take out my sword. I am not taking out Doujigiri Yasutsuna because of Ibaraki, but I can use Galatine only by using the Include function to summon the weapon.

I release a breath and dash forward.

Hinokami Kagura: Sun Halo Dragon Head Dance

I dash forward and swing his sword around with the flow of his breath. I thrust my sword and created a torrent of fire to burn the first demonic beast in front of me. I dodge to the left when one of them tries to pounce at me and swing my sword upward.

I jump around the battlefield, following the rhythm of the dance of the sun and killing demonic beasts left and right. When I see another wave of demonic beasts coming toward me, I jump into the air and take a deep breath.

"Sky Dragon's Wave Wind!"

I dive to the ground and release a massive tornado that cuts through the demonic beast. I land on the ground and look toward Ibaraki. She has flaming wings on her back, and she is grinning like a maniac. She stabs her sword to the ground and points her palm toward the giant scorpion man.

"Kuhaha! I will devour you! Run wild, Sōgen-bi! Great Grudge of Rashomon!"

Her right hand detaches and flies toward the scorpion man. It is getting bigger, and grabs the scorpion man, pinning him down. A second later, it exploded and created a massive explosion. I can feel a demonic energy coming from the explosion. It is like the energy from Yasaka's Youjutsu but more wild and destructive.

I widen my eyes when I see Tomoe summon her bow and arrow before jumping high into the sky. With a deep breath, she starts her chant.

"Shoukannon Bosatsu, give me power! The brilliance of the morning sun! Oṃ Ālolik Svāhā!!!"

After the dust disappears, her arrow hits the scorpion man who is struggling to get up. When the arrow hits, it explodes. However, unlike Ibaraki, her attack feels like the sun, and I can feel my Sun Breathing have a connection with that attack.

However, even with that attack, the scorpion man still manages to stand up and prepare to run away.

"Install!"

I install Gawain and jump into action. I can feel the power of the sun coursing through me, and I activate my Noble Phantasm.

"This sword is a reflection of the sun! The final light remains on land! Even if the blade itself were to break, it answers the will of the righteous! The Holy Sword of the Planet banishes evil."

My sword shines and releases a massive amount of power.

"Excalibur Galatine!"

I swing my sword, and a beam of light flies out of my sword, hitting the scorpion man and exploding on impact. The explosion burns his body, and after a few seconds, I can see the creature fall to the ground, dead.

When my senjutsu feels him dead, I cancel my noble phantasm and land on the ground. I take a deep breath and uninstall Gawain. I look to the side and see Ibaraki grinning at me while Tomoe looks at me in confusion and shock.

"That's what I am talking about! I know you are strong, Ryan!"

"Thank you, Ibaraki. Do you need some healing?"

I look at the wound on her shoulder. She laughs at the wound and says.

"Bah! These are flesh wounds—nothing you need to heal. Her, on the other hand… Yeah. Her Oni blood is too weak to heal her body completely."

I look at Tomoe and look at her wounds. They are deep, and there are a lot of them.

"Do you want me to heal your wounds?"

She hesitates for a second before nodding her head. I nod and walk toward her. I push my Sky Dragon Slayer magic and heal her. It takes a couple of minutes before I heal all of her wounds. I nod my head and say.

"And done."

"Thank you."

"You are welcome. Now, let's go back, Ibaraki. I will cook us some meals."

Before we can leave, Tomoe grabs my shoulder and says,

"Wait! Can you come with me to Uruk? King Gilgamesh requires your presence. Please come with me. The king wants to talk with you. Don't worry. It is not something bad."

I look at her for a few seconds and say.

"Sure. I will be going."

"Wait! What do you mean you will go to Uruk?!"

Ibaraki shouts and glares at Tomoe.

"You! Stay out of this. He is my right-hand man! We are the best fighters in this place and will never be shackled."

I pat Ibaraki's head and say.

"Don't worry, Ibaraki. I will not leave you. I only come to Uruk and talk with the king. It will not take long."

Ibaraki growls for a second before saying.

"Fine! However, I will come with you. I don't want my right-hand man to be shackled. We are the new Oni-Dragon Clan! We are the ruler of the Forest."

I chuckle a little and look at Tomoe.

"Can she come with me?"

"Of course."
