The Lazy Genius With 999x System

Chapter 20: Alpha-Null: The One Who Watches

> [ALERT: ROOT STRUCTURE BREACH]

[WARNING: Entity "Alpha-Null" is not bound by current system rules.]

[System attempting to observe… Observation denied.]

Jay barely had time to blink.

The dungeon air, once heavy with glitching admin fragments and ancient code, went still.

No, not still—hollow.

Like the world forgot how to breathe.

A shape stepped through the ripple.

It was not man or woman. Not beast. Not god.

Just a towering silhouette of black robes made of system logs and redacted histories, face obscured by shifting code.

Lines of system errors floated around its head like a crown:

> [USER LIMIT: NULL]

[VERSION CONTROL: REFUSED]

[NAME: ALPHA-NULL]

Its voice came from every direction and nowhere at once.

> "So. You are the anomaly."

Jay, arms still behind his head, blinked.

"Sup. You the final boss?"

Alpha-Null didn't laugh. It merely stared.

> "You invoked override. You interfered with the Reset Lineage. You spared Zero-One."

Jay tilted his head. "And?"

> "You. Will. Be. Assessed."

The world blinked. Jay was no longer in the dungeon.

He stood alone, barefoot, on a floating slate of stone in a void of mirrors. Each mirror showed a different version of him:

A cruel warlord with +999 Strength slaughtering armies.

A hermit philosopher rewriting magic laws.

A corpse with the message: FAILED TO STAY AWAKE.

Above him hovered Alpha-Null.

> "You possess 999x Potential in all stats.

But not the will to follow through."

Jay crossed his arms. "It's called balance."

> "It is called waste."

One mirror shattered.

> "What do you choose, Jay Sama?

To sleep…

Or to awaken fully, and destroy the balance you tilted?"

Jay stared up, silent.

Then…

He smirked.

> "Why not both?"

As Alpha-Null prepared to delete the platform, Jay raised a hand lazily.

> [System Prompt: Hidden Skill Tree Found]

[Do you wish to unlock: Paradox-Class Title?]

Jay clicked yes.

> [TITLE UNLOCKED: THE DREAMING GOD]

"Reality bends for those who never fully wake."

Alpha-Null staggered.

The void fractured.

A glowing circle of lazy blue light spiraled around Jay.

> [Skill: DREAM COMMAND – Rewrite local logic for 3 seconds per nap hour stored]

[Hours Stored: 438]

Jay cracked his knuckles.

> "I've slept through class, chaos, and destiny.

Now I'll nap through you."

Jay clapped his hands.

Reality pulsed.

Time skipped backward, then forward.

Mirrors fused.

Logic failed.

Alpha-Null, bound by none and master of all, hesitated.

Just for a moment.

And that was all Jay needed.

> [DREAM COMMAND: EXECUTE – You Are Not Watching Me Anymore]

Alpha-Null screamed in static.

Then vanished.

No explosion. No code.

Just gone.

Jay awoke in the infirmary.

Alicia sat nearby, wide-eyed. Echo stood at the door with Cipher, arms crossed.

"Where were you?" Alicia asked.

Jay rubbed his eyes. "Weird dream. Saw God, kicked him out. Usual stuff."

Echo narrowed her eyes. "There's no record of any battle. You disappeared for two seconds."

Cipher whispered, "Alpha-Null… erased from the System Records. That should be impossible."

Jay yawned. "Well, maybe I dreamt that too."

He rolled over.

> [NEW TITLE: THE ONE WHO NAPS THROUGH FATE]
