The Legend of Berland

Chapter 10: Chapter 9 An Amazing Hit

Arthur got up from the ground with his shoulders covered and looked coldly at Bernie, who was screaming with his eyes covered. Blood kept flowing from between Bernie's fingers.

"That kid actually won!" The mercenaries in the bar were all stunned with a damned expression.

Time seemed to stagnate for a few seconds before the mercenaries reacted one after another. Two "blood-piercing" mercenaries rushed over and hugged Bernie to check his injury.

"Let him be alone, scumbag! He is a waste!" Tristi screamed angrily.

Mercenaries are most important about credibility. No matter how angry Tristi is, blood-sting mercenaries can't abandon Bernie in front of so many people. Two mercenaries had already set up Bernie and rushed out of the bar to find a healing magician early. Bernie's eyes may still be kept.

Everyone in the bar's eyes were on Tristi, which was humiliating and embarrassing. Tristi, who was in sight, couldn't wait to find a crack to get in.

"Let's go!" Tristi couldn't stay in the Nightingale Bar for a moment.

"Deputy Captain Trisdi, you may have forgotten something?" Adeline, Tony and others stopped in front of Tristi.

"You have already won. Don't go too far!" Tristi stared at Adeline angrily, and his hand holding the sword trembled gently.

"That child's stroit, you're not going to play tricks, are you?" Adeline shook the staff in her hand in front of Tristi.

Tristi turned around and looked at Arthur, "Are you really going to have this sword?"

Tristi's voice was cold and his eyes were sharp, full of strong threatening meaning.

Arthur's left shoulder was obviously deformed, and blood oozed from his clothes, but he didn't say a word. Instead, a smile appeared on his face. "Of course, it's the spot I won."

"Ory, here you are!" Trist suddenly threw the sword in his hand to Arthur.

No one expected that Trisdi would suddenly take action. The long sword wrapped in fighting spirit and rotated and flew fast to Arthur. No one could stop him.

"You are despicable!"

Adeline raised her staff, and the magic elements quickly gathered. Tony, Angus and the mercenaries of Blue Demon Girl pulled out their blades one after another.

No one thought that Arthur could avoid Tristi's sudden blow. An ordinary bar fight would immediately turn into a battle between the two major mercenaries.

But Arthur seemed to have expected Tristi's attack long ago. He fell straight back like a corpse, and the sword flew past his face.

The long sword hit the wall of the bar heavily, and when it bounced back, it also smashed a huge wine jar on the ground, which showed its great power.

Seeing that the sneak attack was unsuccessful, Trisdi snorted coldly, "Adeline, I, Trisdi, will repay the humiliation brought to me by the blue demon girl today sooner or later!"

Adeline curled her lips and showed an indifferent expression. Since Arthur was fine, she didn't need to continue fighting with Tristi, so she withdrew her staff to make way.

"Let's go!" Tristi is going to take someone to leave here immediately.

"Wait a minute." Another voice sounded.

Tristi's steps that had just been raised came back and turned around slowly.

"Deputy Captain Trisdi, maybe you forgot something else?" The nightingale is holding his shoulder and looking at Tristi with a smile.

Tristi didn't say anything. He directly took out a gold coin and threw it to the nightingale, turned around and left.

The nightingale did not answer, and the gold coin fell to the ground and made a crisp sound.

"Not enough, ten gold coins."

Trisdi, who had just turned around, stumbled and almost fell down, "What? You are extorting! Are these tables worth ten gold coins?

The nightingale looked at Tristi with a sneer, "The few tables that Bernie broke are worthless, but you broke a jar of wine in my store, doesn't it count?"

"Is a jar of wine worth ten gold coins?"

The nightingale pointed to the wine that had been flowing all over the ground and said, "You broke the best jar of golden pine wine in my store. If you don't believe it, Captain Trisdi can lie on the ground and have a taste."

Tristi's teeth creaked. He knew that the nightingale was taking the opportunity to blackmail, but he couldn't give up the face lying on the ground to test the quality of the wine.

"Isn't it just ten gold coins? I, Tristi, paid for it!"

"No, it's twelve gold coins now! The extra two gold coins just now are the compensation for your insult to me. You can ask these mercenaries, when did I, the nightingale, blackmail others?"

"That's right, Sister Nightingale is the most generous!"

"Yes, Sister Nightingale has never lied to anyone!"

The mercenaries around were so happy that they stood on the side of the nightingale.

Tristi looked depressed, but he had to lose his teeth and swallow it into his stomach. Although he was the deputy leader of the "blood-stinging" regiment, he couldn't afford to provoke the woman Nightingale.

After emptying the money bag of himself and the mercenaries who came with him, he barely collected twelve gold coins. Tristi escaped from the Nightingale Bar in embarrassment.

Tony came to Arthur with a smile with Tristi's long sword, "Kid, you did a very good job! From today on, I will be a member of the Blue Demon Girl. In the future, Brother Tony will protect you!"

Arthur just nodded gently. His face was pale and his forehead was full of sweat.

"Get out of here. Didn't you see that the child was injured?" The fat body of the nightingale pushed Tony aside.

The nightingale skillfully took off Arthur's coat and pinched Arthur's shoulder with a pair of big hands.

With the movement of the nightingale, the sweat on Arthur's forehead dripped down. He closed his eyes and frowned, but did not say a word.

A fragrant handkerchief gently wiped off the sweat on his head and face.

Arthur opened his eyes and saw Edline's close face and encouraging eyes.

Arthur suddenly felt a chill in his shoulder, and the pain suddenly became lighter.

The nightingale was smearing a black paste evenly on his left shoulder, and then wrapped his left shoulder layer by layer with white gauze.

"The bones inside have been cracked. Don't move around these days. If you find a healing magician, you will recover faster. The nightingale turned his head and said to Adeline.

"Thank you, Sister Nightingale."

"Keynes picked up a treasure this time. This kid is a born mercenary." The nightingale said and patted Arthur's face again.

Arthur lowered his head embarrassedly with a shy smile on his face.

"Kid, it's yours now." Tony handed over the sword again, "You know, this rare enchanted sword is worth at least 300 gold coins, and Trisdi saved up a full year for it that year." Tony's tone was full of envy and even jealousy.

Arthur took it with one hand and gave it directly to Adeline. "Teacher, can I give you this sword?"

Adeline looked stunned, "Why?"

"It's too expensive. I'm not qualified to own it, and I can't protect it."

The mercenaries around were in an uproar. Such a young child understands the truth that "a gentleman is innocent and has his guilt"?

"No, I asked you why you called me teacher just now?"

"Didn't Aunt Nightingale just say that I'm your magic apprentice?" A sly smile appeared on Arthur's face.
