The Akashic records: An entity that chooses humans around the ages of 16 and 20, and teleports them to a random place in the world. The Akashic record holds knowledge of the present, the past, and the future.

The recordings: Trials created by the Akashic records populated by both abyssal creatures and people. Each one contains a conflict that has to be resolved for the recording to end. They are believed to be just that, recordings of the past of this world.
