Chapter 14: "Jiro's New Power."
-----
-----
Jiro's super vision pierced through the skyscrapers of New York, locking onto a chaotic street.
Tony Stark, in his latest suit of armor, was duking it out with a massive enemy mech at least three meters tall.
Energy blasts lit up the street as civilians screamed and scattered.
"Looks like our billionaire's having a blast," Jiro said with a grin, bending his knees slightly—
Boom!
A black blur shot into the sky. Jiro streaked across the heavens at insane speed.
People on the ground looked up and gasped.
"Is that… Superman?!"
Inside Tony's helmet, Jarvis spoke up. "Sir, detecting a high-speed incoming target. Energy signature confirms—it's Mr. Jiro."
"Finally," Tony muttered, blasting the enemy mech with a repulsor shot before glancing up at the sky. "Perfect time to show off my new toy."
With a sudden stop that made no physical sense, the black figure halted mid-air in front of them.
Jiro hovered there, golden patterns on his black suit glowing under the sunlight.
"Need a hand from Superman?" Jiro raised an eyebrow at Tony.
The mech took the opportunity to throw a punch at Jiro's head.
The punch stopped dead—just centimeters from his hair—as if it had hit an invisible wall.
Tony shrugged. "Thanks, but I'm just running performance tests on my new suit."
He nodded toward the mech. "That one's just a naughty villain."
Jiro shook his head. "No need for tests. You'll be upgrading it again soon."
"What do you mean?" Tony's faceplate lifted, revealing a confused expression.
Jiro didn't answer. He turned to face the enemy mech.
The giant machine clearly sensed danger—every weapon it had lit up and began charging.
"Bye." Jiro waved his right hand. A golden rune flashed in the air.
A dark blue vortex suddenly opened beneath the mech's feet, sucking the whole thing in.
A second later, a whistling noise came from above—thousands of feet up, the mech was now in freefall.
"Jarvis! Track that thing!" Tony yelled.
But Jiro had already taken off, streaking after it in a flash.
He caught up easily and unleashed a spinning kick. The impact was deafening—the armor shattered mid-air.
Just as the debris started falling, Jiro traced a circle with one hand. Another portal opened, swallowing all the wreckage.
Three seconds later, he gently landed on the street, holding the unconscious villain by the collar.
He dropped the guy in front of some stunned cops.
"Wh-who are you?" one of them stammered, hand on his gun but too scared to draw.
Jiro smiled. "You can call me Superman."
Tony landed beside them, faceplate lifting again. "Wait, what the hell was that? Magic? Jarvis says that armor disappeared!"
"I sent it to your private storage unit," Jiro said, patting Tony's shoulder.
"Asgardian magic."
Tony's eyes lit up instantly. "Magic?"
"We'll talk later." Jiro glanced at the growing crowd around them, noticing the people raising their phones to take pictures.
"Unless you're dying to be on every headline tomorrow."
The two of them shot into the sky, leaving behind a street full of gasps and cheers.
A few excited kids jumped up and shouted, "It's Iron Man and Superman! They're on the same team!"
Top floor lab, Stark Tower.
Tony was already digging into the armor wreckage that had appeared out of thin air.
"This is insane!" he said, holding up a warped metal plate.
"Instant teleportation, zero energy loss, no spatial folding—this goes against every known law of physics!"
Jiro stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, looking out over the New York sunset. "The Asgardians call it the Blessing of Heimdall. It's basically folding space using energy from the World Tree. I saved Thor and took a quick trip to Asgard."
Tony spun around. "Asgard? You mean, like, the Asgard? The myth?"
"Yup. Exactly what you're thinking." Jiro nodded.
Tony's eyes went wide. The metal plate slipped from his hands and hit the floor with a loud clang. "Wait, wait—I need a second to process this. Did you just say... gods? Asgard?"
He waved his arms dramatically. "Like, the guy with the hammer who flies around smashing stuff?!"
"Odin, Loki, Thor—they're all real." Jiro chuckled.
"Is this for real? I mean, we're on Earth, right? Since when did mythology become reality?" Tony still looked a little dazed.
Jiro pulled out a massive box from his system space. "Way more real than you think."
He opened it. Inside lay a piece of metal glowing with a faint blue light.
"Thor gave me this. It's Uru metal—the stuff they use in Asgard to forge god-tier weapons."
Tony took a deep breath as Jiro conjured the box out of thin air. "Okay, I'm officially past the point of being surprised."
He poked the glowing metal with a finger. Instantly, JARVIS chimed in with an alert:"Unknown element detected. Atomic structure abnormally stable. Sir, this material doesn't fit anywhere on the periodic table."
"So... all those myths are actually true?" Tony grabbed a bottle of whiskey and took a big swig. "Odin? Loki?"
"Pretty much." Jiro pointed at the metal."But they prefer to call themselves an 'advanced civilization' rather than gods."
"Thor's just an alien prince who likes to swing a hammer around. Their civilization just evolved a lot earlier than ours."
Tony suddenly lit up with excitement. "Okay, but what about their tech? Their weapons? Energy systems? Transportation?"
"That's part of your surprise." Jiro smiled.
He pressed a hidden rune on the metal box. It dissolved into a cloud of nano-sized particles, which reassembled mid-air into a miniature warhammer.
"Asgardian nanotech," Jiro said, watching Tony's jaw drop.
"Way more advanced than your Mark series."
Tony leaned in like a kid eyeing a brand-new toy. "No way! Nano-level self-assembly like this would need insane computing power and energy control…"
"And a little help from Uru metal's magical properties." Jiro snapped his fingers. The hammer dissolved and turned back into a box.
"Took me a while to figure it out. The good news? I've reverse-engineered and simplified a version that works with Earth's materials."
Tony suddenly grabbed Jiro's shoulders. "You have to teach me! Name your price!"
"Second part of the surprise," Jiro said with a smirk, pulling out a data chip from his system space.
"Everything's on here. Tech specs, fusion process for Uru and Earth alloys. Enough for you to upgrade the Mark armor to a full nanotech version—and maybe build me a suit while you're at it."
Tony snatched the chip like it was treasure, his hands trembling. "JARVIS! Scan this now! Launch full holographic modeling!"
A beam of blue light swept over the chip. Instantly, a detailed molecular structure projection lit up in the middle of the lab.
Tony started zipping through the model like a man possessed. "This energy conduction method—! And this reassembly algorithm—Jiro! These guys are geniuses!"
Jiro leaned casually on the console, watching Tony dive headfirst into tech mania. "Just a heads-up: Uru metal needs a specific energy frequency to activate.
You'll probably have to tweak your reactor's output mode. Might want to upgrade your energy core first."
